Maria and the guys who work here however are great, very friendly and quick service with decent food for a Student Union restaurant. Wish I could give a separate rating for the service I normally experience versus the terrible service I had today.”

If your looking for a meal to comfort your souls and make your taste bud sing, this is your place. I ordered the salmon bagel and the bougie pop tart and man! It was the closest thing to a New York bagel I’ve had since I was in Manhattan! The serving size was worth every penny and and it was absolutely delectable!! Local goods to shop for people in town to visit are awesome! Thank you for creating this space it’s a sweet piece of local love in middle of midtown KC! I’m a lifer for sure!”

“I LOVE subway. This place is like heaven for people who really want good food at a decent price. This isn’t like McDonald’s with the low food quality, the food is GREAT it has similar prices and is just as accessible you’re looking for a good bang for you’re buck you should eat here. They have this Italian sauce dressing stuff that is to DIE FOR. If you come here there are a few things you should know, ONE: have Provolone, it’s the easiest to pull apart with gloves TWO: don’t steal, these people have better things to do than to deal with thieves THREE: there isn’t a “manager” there are only two people at a store at a time FOUR: no meatball on flatbread? That’s pretty much it, other than the fact that this place is EPIC! have a good time, enjoy your food and show it off with PRIDE. PS. Did I mention that this is real cheap? I’m in HS and this is affordable to me. In context, one time I spent more that 40$ on groceries and my bank thought my card was stolen. I’ll admit that this isn’t the best for first dates but this is cool for “a quick bite to eat” I don’t work here or have ever but my friends have told me that working here is really fun. You can trust me! I’m a local guide! ?but seriously, this is awesome”

“Brewer's Kitchen is an awesome addition to the Midtown area in KC and is locally owned, which we love. The food is wonderful (all made from scratch), beer list is exceptional, and the service was top notch. The owner, Chris, made a point to come and talk to each table and introduce himself, which we thought was very nice. They've recently expanded with outdoor patio seating and the atmosphere was cool. “This is the kind of place you'll make sure to visit if you're in the area. Everything I ate here made me want to eat more. Delicious!! I had the best grilled cheese on rye. (normally comes on sourdough but I don't 'do' sourdough). My companion had a Ruben that looked so good I had to steal a bite (well three if I'm being honest, because it was THAT good.) I got two slices of pizza to take home for a midnight snack. I took a peek at the individually boxed slices (yes, the slices were as big as the waitress warned) shortly after arriving at the hotel. The pizza looked so perfect, I had to try it while it was hot despite my full stomach. The pizza tasted better than it looked. The crust tasted homemade. The pickles were crunchy and tangy and tasted homemade. The fresh lemonade was so tasty, I think I may be addicted. If you have the privilege of stopping by, come hungry, wear loose clothes and tip the waitresses (even if you don't have to ask, I attest that they know the menu well and are very courteous to the curious).”

“Not my cup of tea. Pretty loud. The meat is pretty good. But everything I ordered had a sweet taste to it. The tater tots did not. The waiter was cool as hell and tried to get down to my country bumpkin level. If they read this and care: the only poorly cooked food was the bacon. I assume you have it precooked. I asked for crispy bacon and it was kinda rubbery. Also; whatever your putting on the deviled eggs to make sweet; stop. Save that money.”

“Called ahead to order for takeout only. Lobby had closed and I asked if we were okay to walk up to drive thru since we were truck drivers. The KFC lady told me yes and when I walked up to get service they were very helpful and friendly. Thanks for letting us truckers out here still be able to get food and service with the times nowadays. We appreciate our food service workers recognizing the need of the truckers out here and accommodating that. And the pot pies were awesome as always!!! Thank you KFC!!”

“This is one of the few KFC's left where they have a buffet. They had both crunchy and original recipes of chicken as well at the main sides. They did not have mac and cheese. I did not care for the bread pudding which was the only dessert. The food was hot and fresh for a buffet.”
