“I wish I had stopped at a Runza before I tried this one. These things are good! Kind of a loose meat sandwich in freshly baked bread. Nicely seasoned too. Good prices and a friendly staff. I'll be sure to stop next time I'm going through that part of that country.”

“Been a while since I've been here, but the food is still absolutely fantastic. Got some tacos de lengua, which were a first time for me and they were to die for. Literally the best tacos de lengua I've had in years! It was so good too, that I totally forgot to actually even take a picture of it because I ate it so fast. I did however also order some Tacos Tejuana's and some Elote and I did get some photos of those. The service was fast, and the guy at the cash register was super kind. Place is a 10 out of 10 and probably one of, if not my favorite spots to eat in the entire city of Kearney.”

“Everything was as you would expect. I asked for soft scramble and received what I would consider an omelet. Also asked for a milk with my meal and didn't receive that either. 🙃 Flavors were fine..... Visit number 2 and I'm sorry but the food is just not very good . Grabbed an omelet this time and the vegetables were all but raw and it had some gross cheese sauce and the potatoes had a weird seasoning. Service was phenomenal 👏”

“The Hibachi Experience! TL:DR If you are looking for a bit extra for your evening meal, this is an excellent choice. Excellent food and great inclusive entertainment at the Hibachi area! Details: We ended up here on a week night about an hour before closing time. The crew was very polite from beginning to end, and we only had to wait a minute or two to be seated in the Hibachi area. We had a wide variety of orders for the chef - from chicken to shrimp to steak, and a few appetizers as well. (Crab Rangoon was pretty good!) Our chef was excellent, very good at his job of cooking, but also hilarious and very interactive with all of us at the table. The fried rice and vegetables were the best I have had at a Hibachi place - I think it may be because of the fresh garlic they added in while cooking! Shrimp was excellent, and everyone else commented on how delicious everything was. Note that this is an expensive dinner - $25 or so for a meal - but it includes the salad, soup, rice, veggies, meat choice, and a couple of shrimp! Everyone has leftovers at the end, so plan on two meals from that price. Come during the week for lunch specials if you are looking to save some money and still get the experience.”

“Stopped at the Whiskey Creek Wood Fired Grill in Kearney, NE on our way from Iowa to Colorado. Located just north of I-80 on 2nd Ave. The brisket (we got the same meal) came with 2 sides, and the brisket was VERY tender. We both REALY likes the beans, and yeah ... we travel this road to Colorado for vacation and will go out of our way to dine here again. The meals - 5 stars. Cleanliness ... 4 stars (men's room had lots of paper on the floor.) Our waiter - 5 stars.”

“The BEST barbecue sauces and turkey I've ever had! Their Raspberry Chipotle and Stupidasso (?! I think that was the name of their hottest BBQ sauce) sauce were phenomenonal. The turkey was so tender and juicy, busting with flavour. The size of the sides were small but I wasn't hungry after. I had potato salad and fries; the former was alright, the latter was crisp and well seasoned. The sauces were so good, I wanted to buy bottles of them which they sold in 16oz bottles. I highly recommend it. Their hottest sauce perfectly blends the heat of various chillies whilst still being able to taste them and the flavour of BBQ. The fried Oreos made a good dessert too. They're fried in doughnut batter, so are decadent. The owners (the family) running it were so friendly and accommodating. 100% a must-eat in Kearney!”

“If you're looking for good Mexican food then This is the place for you! Exactly what I was wanting for lunch. They have white queso which is impossible to find in Colorado. Delicious margaritas. Everything flavored to perfection. We had the Chimichanga which came fried nice and crispy covered in delicious queso Blanco. As well as the Steak Fajita quesadilla, which had to be one of the better fajitas I've had in a long while.”

“Outdoor seating or drive through. The cheesecake chimichanga was DELICIOUS, the other food on the menu looked good too. It was busy but they did a good job.”

“Our food was really good!! I had the chicken fried steak and it was delicious!! We went on a Thursday night and it was pretty open and casual which was nice because we had a large group. The restaurant had a nice vibe. Also it's nice that you can get good food and not have to leave the hotel.”

“Opening day! Friendly Staff, pleasant atmosphere, good food. Arcade looks cool though I didn't try anything out today. Brand new, so kind of to be expected, but everything was very clean. My first time at a Pizza Ranch, so can't compare to others. Great addition to food options in Kearney! The pizzas I tried were all good, think I prefer the thin crust. Chicken was my favorite food item- crisp, juicy, flavorful. Background music was pleasant, upbeat, loud enough to hear, but not too loud 😀”

“What a great place! I don't think I'll drive through the area ever again, but if I do, I'd love to come back. The burgers were awesome, and they have gluten free buns as well. And it's not just any gluten free bun - those are actually tasty! It's a very cool place overall, cannot recommend enough.”

“What a great experience! Our server Trey was excellent. Food was superb. Bathrooms were very clean and even provided toiletries such as mouthwash to freshen up. I had the crackpot bowl which was delicious along with the Brussels. I suggest getting the pazookie for dessert, the ice cream was Devine.”

“Really enjoyed our first visit. A fairly new restaurant on Father's Day, with a focus on different beers would be expected to be busy and it was. Had to wait about 30 minutes, but worth the wait. Food and beer selection was very good.”

“Waitstaff was friendly and quick, everyone seemed to be having a good time. The garden salad was fresh and the lettuce was crispy. The calzone wasn't too impressive, it seemed a bit void of ingredients, making it not worth the price. Beer was served quickly and at a perfect temperature.”

“I only ever come by on road trips, but looking at the few times I've been here, everything was great. I liked the coffee, and the cookies here were delicious, and I didn't have any issues regarding accuracy or temperature.”

“Super nice people, I am a huge God Father's Pizza fan but the express ones haven't ever left much of an impression on me. But this location was super yummy! And very friendly! We got there at 9:58 pm and the nice lady let me order a large pizza even though they closed in 2 minutes. The crust was perfect. It had a very yummy crispy on the outside but soft on the inside crunch to it. Taco was amazing. I will definitely be stopping again.”

“Gorgeous atmosphere, good food! TL:DR You can't beat the atmosphere at Cunningham's on the lake. The building interior and the patio overlooking the lake are gorgeous. Food is great, although I would recommend skipping dessert. Details: Headed here on a Wednesday night and had a short (10 minutes or less) wait to get a table on the patio in the beautiful weather. The view was great, although once seated you can't see much of the lake over the flower boxes on the railings. The flowers themselves were beautiful, and the ambience is just great. Not too loud, very inviting. The food was VERY good, although it was hard to choose from a very large menu selection. I had a baked mac and cheese with grilled chicken, which was great. Also tried their chicken tortilla soup - a bit spicy, but AMAZING! Wife had the drunken chicken sandwich, which was also very flavorful, and onion straws cooked very well. The only downside was dessert. We had a blueberry lemon cake, and the lemon was VERY subdued and left the whole concoction a bit lackluster in flavor. Overall, you should definitely visit here for great views and good food when you are in Kearney!”

“I was very surprised by this restaurant, especially the bar. Keenan offered great conversation and a fantastically strong version of an old fashioned. The Hawaiian pizza and truffle fries also gave flavors that were broad enough to satisfy while not being overly strong. I finished with something they call the milk caramel tower, never heard or seen of it, but apparently something common in Italy, and it was also delicious. I will be happy to return.”

“If you’re traveling along highway 80 in Nebraska and want some good solid home cookin and or BBQ stop off at Skeeters. A well established bar and restaurant that seems to be run very well by a very nice group of young women. I had the pulled pork and my partner had the chicken fried steak. Just what the Dr. ordered after 800 miles of very straight roads and corn fields. And trains. And I can’t forget bottomless sides and really huge drinks.”

“Great location and convenient for when I’m driving through town. Two ways to enter for fuel and or if you need something from inside the store, Diesel is behind the building. Average time for pizza being made is 20 mins not bad at all, friendly staff and good customer service. They have everything in stock 99% of the time if not they had a rush of people come in, it happens anywhere. Other then that 5 stars I keep going back there.”
