“Amazing ice and custard. Madison and Avery were a great help, getting my group what they wanted as quickly as possible. Such hard working staff, and they were so polite. Will visit again!”

“We got the Classic Maine Lobster roll and it was beyond excellent. Every bite melted in the mouth. Halfway through the roll, we realized that we had completely forgotten about the piece of lemon served with the roll. Some lemon took the roll to the next level (if that's even possible). Strongly recommend the place!”

“Great views of the ocean but the food although it was fine was very expensive. Nice place to hang out with a drink and just enjoy the view. Service was very slow and we were there at lunch time.”

“I went to Aleathea's Saturday March 30, 2019 at around 8:30 am. When we arrived for breakfast it was not busy nor did it get busy when we were there. I ordered the build your own omelette with asparagus tips, spinach and smoked mozzarella cheese. My partner ordered the pancakes with the berries and asked if the berries could be served on the side and was told yes. When my omelette arrived I picked up the salt grinder and rock salt fell all over my food because the grinder was broken. The omelet was dry and overcooked, the asparagus tips were hard and the potatoes were cold. My partner's pancakes had the berries throughout and that was not how she ordered them. We tried to get our waitresses attention but she was nowhere to be found and the place was not busy. In my opinion if you can't serve a decent breakfast in a resort town when it is off-season and slow what can you expect when it is busy! I eat breakfast out quite often and I was not impressed!”

“Stopped in for lunch while waiting for our check-in time. We were quickly seated and drinks were ordered. Their signature cocktails are great as are their handmade bloody marys. After 2 of them I was in no hurry to check-in. Lots of seafood on their menu and I believe each of us (6 people) got something different. Not sure which dish was the best as we all shared and enjoyed each one. Great place for a nice lunch and I hear it's a rock-in place in the evening.”

“*2018 update* I was excited to come back here and we have been absolutely wowed. From the menu to the atmosphere, this place is a wonderful treat. Best restaurant in Cape May! 2017 Affordable gastropub Good drink menu, good food menu, good beach view, affordable. Will definitely return. Oh and they have sushi!”

“My husband and I visited this place one evening of our vacation, as we were looking for just a casual dinner in between nights of upscale seafood. The pizza selection is impressive, and I had a hard time deciding because they all looked so good. We went with one of the white pizzas (Florentine), and it was excellent: satisfactorily cooked, with plenty of cheese and toppings. I have a serious gluten allergy, and was very pleased that the pizza was sent out uncut, with a clean pizza slicer, so we could be sure it was not contaminated during slicing. The size (12") is great for a gluten-free pizza. My husband and I were barely able to finish one pizza between us. We also shared a house salad, one of the two simple salads on the menu that were cheaper than the other salads, so I assumed it was probably a fairly small side salad. I was pleasantly surprised at the generous portion of that as well. There were plenty of fresh carrots, tomatoes, red onions, and olives in it. Finally, our service was OUTSTANDING; we had a very competent waitress who checked in often and clearly was extremely capable of taking care of a dining room on her own. This is a place we would visit again without hesitation. Cape May needs more affordable and casual eateries with great food like this.”

“This is the one place when I'm in Cape May I go or if i'm an anywhere in the area I make sure to stop by Carney's. The staff is the very best Cape May has the food is the best. If your looking for the best Guacamole in New Jersey..... this just maybe what your looking for if not I think it is but even if you don't agree you will still have to say it's Good. We are always happy with the friendly bartenders and how great they take good care of my needs. Stop in you won't disagree”

“Beautiful cozy old school place. Nice bar with a grand piano and someone playing it. Very romantic: You can park across the street for $5! There is valet service available along with a side lot and entrance for use if you are handicapped. The food and drink are exceptional as you might expect. However, everything is also more affordable than you might think. Good experience; make a reservation!”

“Sorry, but if you're looking for an excellent cup of coffee, and you're a coffee buff like me, this is likely not the place. They do not use all natural flavored syrups to make their lattes (DaVinci syrups contain preservatives), there are many organic and all natural syrups out there - why not use quality ingredients? And self serve vats of coffee? I can receive the same level of service at a gas station by filling up my own cup. They don't put a lot of "Tyme" or love into making or serving their coffee in my opinion.”

“This restaurant is lively and fun! This fact is apparently true in every part of this place. It goes from the jazzy live music, to the full and crowded bar, to the funky ornamental artwork that is displayed all over the walls. This same vibe then continues on within the menu. The dinners we had were excellent and very far from ordinary. Everything is well priced and all this makes for a wonderful experience..”

“We had an absolutely magical time here on our way to the beach. My son and I both had the bottomless, frosted mug of Stewart's sodas and my wife had their famous root beer float. The cream soda is exquisite in my humble opinion! The fried pickles and the bacon- and cheese-loaded fries were also delicious. Our server was a delight as well. Certainly a special experience! Recommended!”

“Dad and I each had a black-and-blue burger, and my burger was outstanding. I shared Dad's fries and they were also delicious. Aunt Maria had a veggie burger, and I'm certain she'd liked it. The chips, however, were Wise® chips, which meant they weren't made in the kitchen. Even so, I would certainly do business with this place again.”

“One of the few restaurants open on a week night in March. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The food was not exceptional, I had the stuffed shrimp which was okay, but the green beans and rice had no flavor. I’ve watched too many Gordon Ramsey shows to know the chefs should check the flavors of the dishes.”

“Food was pretty good. Seasoned nicely but the chips to begin with were a little stale. The portions should have been bigger for the price too. A little hot on the inside area but the outside seating is nice. Good location in town. Food also came out in a timely manner. No burritos sadly.”

“Your experience really depends on what room you receive. I booked through a third party for $115/ night. We stayed in room 02 in the Inn itself. The room is comically small, definitely would not want to be here for more than a weekend. Check-in is located access the street at Congress Hall, which is not exactly ideal. Bed was a bit on the hard side, and barely fit in the room. Toilet is cramped next to the shower, there is no tub. No mini-fridge or mini-bar. You're paying for the easy access to the Washington St. Mall and you are a block from the beach. We could see the ocean from both windows, which was certainly a plus.”
