“This place is really good! We had different flavor tacos and the Chile Relleno plate, and the red and green tamales. Nothing disappointed us. The service was great as well, highly recommended it!!”

“Experience was pleasant. Cashier gave me a cookie and charged me for it, even though I didn't want it. I ordered the chicken burrito with guacamole. Side of sweet potato waffle fries. The flavor and temperature is perfect. So good! Didn't get any guacamole. So although a good experience, many flaws with the order.”

“It's not your typical Mexican restaurant. You have to order at the counter when you enter the place. The food is very good. This is just my opinion, but the portions are pretty large. When offered which sauce, either red or green; go for the green. It beats the pants off of the red. The beef fajita quesadilla is awesome.”

“Same great cook and food as the Taos Diner, but the facility is definitely a step up. Bravo!”

“We had a fantastic breakfast experience here and really enjoyed our interactions with the staff. Of everyone in Taos is this kind and happy I may just have to relocate. Excellent green chile tops a wide variety of perfectly cooked grub. A proud Broncos fan to boot. It seems to me that this is where the locals go. Will return as fast as life allows.”

“Amazing pizza! The toppings were great and the crust was perfect. No greasy pizza or floppy floppy crust here. The ladies were on point today! Great service and amazing pizza. Thanks!”

“Plant Base Cafe was exactly what we needed in Taos. A new place that serves fully Vegan food that was also delicious. I was able to get three separate proteins for my three amazing breakfast tacos. The salad was fantastic and all around the patio was great vibes. And plus, it’s right next to the free public parking lot and next to the Taos Plaza!”

“Went there today with my dog, George. I had the Broccoli salad, and it was fantastic. I tried the Mesa IPA and Beet gose. Everything was delicious. The staff were so nice and I love how they loved my George. He had a great time too. The atmosphere is very welcoming. I definitely recommend.”

“Neat little spot with patio seating and indoor seating. Staff is friendly and prompt. The chips crisp, salsa was great and had a slight hit of hotness, wife enjoyed the fresh guacamole. Wife had the 2 enchiladas, one chicken with green sauce and one beef with red sauce served with rice and beans. I had the combination, 2 enchiladas with taco rice beans. The chicken enchilada was just chicken —wished it had some flavor and green sauce mixed into the chicken to pop it. The green green sauce was great and not overbearing. The cheese enchilada with red sauce was good. Didn’t get a crispy beef taco as I’m used too as it was corn tortilla just slightly cooked as if soft but the shredded beef was good inside Rice was good, moist and flavorful. Beans to us was overcooked. Overall still a pleasant experience.”

“Stopped in for lunch and wow was it delicious! The menu has a large number of selections. We opted for street tacos (there are about a dozen different kinds to choose from) and the mole chicken. Both of our entrees were excellent. The service was very quick and friendly. We highly recommend!”

“Savory breakfast burrito with chorizo, bacon, egg, and cheese and a ham and cheese torta. Very kind team and really delicious food. We took ours to go on the road.”

“I know this place has gotten a bad wrap, but they are under new management and wow, the difference is night and day. Call the shop to ask a question, was answered promptly and I proceeded to order. When I went to pick up, I was greeted warmly (wow) and my pizza was ready, hot and CORRECT!! Please give this store another shot, you'll soon see they are being professionally managed now.”

“Rarely is a five star given because rarely are they found. This rating is SOLELY on the dishes tried, not atmosphere or service. Carpaccio is perfect! Spot on and by adding to the sourdough bread dipped in a wee bit of evoo and balsamic, your taste buds are gonna be in love. Angel hair with mushrooms and gorganzola sauce is rich with a deep woodsy element and chicken that could not be prepared any better. Piccata is not the usual, but be prepared to be happy! Saffron rice that would be found with authentic paella accompanies this dish, chicken is absolute perfection, crisp and lightly breaded and melt in your mouth tender, broccoli, tomato side will remind you of travels to remote southern Italy. Prices are a very nice surprise, and add to the positives of Trading Post Café. Make no assumptions of the meal you're going to experience by the atmosphere or service, which is genuine and tries. Not being in the 'tourist' part of Taos, Trading Post Café looks to be a local fav, which the locals most likely love it that way! This restaurant is a MUST try for flavors, textures and a meal you'll want again. Hands down the best meal this reviewer has experienced in New Mexico, no exceptions!”

“Simply the best! We have to wait for 25 minutes dropping in without reservation. The carne adovada was excellent, thinly blackened, the red chilli sause was beautiful. we liked our desert very much. There was a whole wall painted, so good for photo-taking dining in front.”

“Our last night in Taos and we ended it with an amazing meal at the Old Martina's Hall. The owner came over to thank us for dining with them on their last night as she voluntarily decided to shut down for the duration of the virus attack. This building is over two hundred years old and she did a beautiful job renovating it. When this crisis is over and the country is back to normal I highly recommend having dinner here!”

“What an outstanding and beautiful golf course. When viewing it on line and mapping the directions to the course, I was not that excited but we were visiting Taos for the day and wanted to play some golf. On-line it looks like a flat course in the middle of the valley near Taos. I was so wrong!!! Driving in it began to show its uniqueness and beauty. By the time I pulled into the the parking lot I was very excited to play the course. I should note, the weather was perfect being sunny, 55 degrees, and zero wind in early November. The fairways are of standard width, with undulations along the way. The course is shorter than other par 72 courses but it makes it fun to have the chance to get on the greens in regulations. I played the white tees which has a slope of 117 and my wife played the green with a slope of 101. To sum it up, the course is supper fun to play, it is beautiful and was in exceptional condition. The club house staff and starter were super friendly which made the whole day even better. I will remember this place for a long time and when we return, will being playing it again!”

“We made reservations for Christmas Day a few days prior and we’re surprised to find they still had open times. We had a love corner booth. The shrimp appetizer was good, but pretty small and we didn’t realize it was fried. The dinner portions were quite large. The coating on the chili rellenos was made in house and fantastic. The rice and beans were wonderful. The desserts were unique and sounded fantastic, but we didn’t save room. Service was a bit slow, but to be expected on such a busy day. We would definitely return to taste more menu options. Cheers p”

“It took us awhile to find the restaurant but when we did find it. The customer service was great, super attentive and a very welcoming feeling. We even ended up chatting with some very good people who were sitting on another table where they gave us some great tips on what’s the area. Now for the price we paid to eat for two people was just amazing. That bottle of wine was amazing, the cheese and the meat quality. I would for sure recommended the spot if you are ever in Taos. Please make sure to go there for wine and cheese. Cheers, BN”

“My wife is Asian I thought that she would appreciate some food from home LOL the spicy Thai chicken wings, well the peanut sauce is nothing that you would ever find in Thailand the sweet sauce on the plate with the herbs is something that they would serve with prawns or shrimp anyway it was delicious but not Thai. Make your own Noodle Bowl was very disappointing. The beef broth was not a good flavor overall it was disappointing. The green chili with lamb appetizer was the most disappointing. Everything was edible but just disappointing. Especially for a $50 lunch”

“This place was really awesome. They were really busy when we arrived with a party of 9. At first they said it was going to be about 35 minutes to seat us but they sat us really fast. Service was great and speedy. Food was good. The view was incredible. They say us out on the patio and it overlooked the town beautifully. Being here on a day trip I really enjoyed the opportunity to stare at this town for just a little longer while I ate.”

“Nice little place in Taos. Crispy duck had great flavor and we were able to order our extra crispy. Also got the seared salmon garlic and Ski lift roll. Both were quite tasty.”

“Amazing food, awesome staff! We hired these great folks to cater and serve our intimate reception in Taos and we all loved the food and their wonderful energy! We spent months changing our minds on the menu and they were very kind throughout the whole process, keeping in touch and working with our needs. Lee (the chef) did an amazing job with the food and was super nice and accommodating while serving us. The cornbread was so good that there was a debate as to who could take it home, the shrimp toast was a group favorite as well... gone before I could get to them, luckily my brand new partner saved one for me. I loved the brisket, our veg folks loved the BBQ cauliflower steak… it was all so good! We were honored to have Lee as one of our servers and everyone was so satisfied that we all started clapping for Lee (I know that sounds fake… I promise you it was real). Most importantly, we were treated with respect as a queer couple! Photo credit: Andrea Van Orsouw Photography IG: andrea_vanorsouw”

“We found this spot after a day of mountain biking nearby and enjoyed a fantastic meal! We were asked if we had reservations, we did not. They still were able to seat us, thankfully. Stella's has a dark, candlelit, old school Italian restaurant ambiance to it. The grilled salmon was delicious. It was served with sundried tomatoes, angel hair, pesto cream sauce, over a bed of spinach with some other veggies as well. The kids had a great chicken alfredo and spaghetti, both served with veggies and a slice of garlic bread. We finished off with some awesome desserts! The warmed chocolate cake and key lime pie were mouth watering! We hope to visit again however, reservations may be the only way to get seated if you're not lucky to go when they don't have a packed house.”

“Arguably the best meal I've had. The food, atmosphere, and presentation were all incredible. This will be a must visit on all of my future visits to Taos. Excellent service.”
