“Despite not being busy, it took a while before anyone even greeted us when we walked in. When they did, it was just a "sit anywhere". The young lady who took our drink order, like a deer in headlights, didn't even say hello. Just stared aimlessly while slowly passing menus to us. Our actual waitress was quite pleasant and have us our first warm welcome. She was the nicest thing about this establishment. Even though the menu was simple the food was disappointingly sub par at best. Even simple items such as pancakes and French toast were just disappointing. I wouldn't personally return or recommend this establishment. Save your money. Plenty of other nearby eats that are far more worth it.”

“OBSESSED!!! Especially the bakery! Love getting my scone and cookie along with a latte Oh what an amazing atmosphere and wonderful service. The girl that works the counter almost every morning is the sweetest! Such good service. The baker is also wonderful! What amazing bread they bake!!!!!!!! The chefs are out of this world as well. I love getting the fish specials when I stop in for dinner. My husband and I come a couple times a month. Don’t forget the banana pudding for dessert! Delish!!!! Recommend”

“I met a couple friends for Sunday brunch at The Krebs. The atmospheric was welcoming, and all the staff treated us as if we were royalty. We parked in the back parking area and entered the restaurant through a side door. The staff greeted us kindly, held doors for us, and guided us to the hosting station at the front of the restaurant. We were seated at a perfect-for-three table. The environment was warm and friendly. Wait staff were knowledgeable, kind, courteous and well-timed. Food and coffee service were excellent. We each enjoyed our meals. The Krebs was an excellent and enriching experience for us.”

“Doug's. What more can I say? This place is an absolute icon of Central New York. Always the freshest, tastiest fish and great sides. Was well worth standing in line for 30 minutes to just get in the door. The atmosphere inside is definitely part of the charm, from the fish tank separating the dining room from the order line, to the large scale model railroad circling the dining room, to all of the news articles, customer letters, and photos lining the walls. Absolutely worth a stop whenever passing through Skaneateles.”

“I have been to this restaurant many times and this was probably my least favorite visit the view is beautiful, casual atmosphere. I was no wowed by the food. Bang bang scallops were mediocre..of the 5 or so scallops two were very small and over cooked. The larger ones were good. Service was friendly and attentive. I would visit it again just select something different.”

“Flatters to deceive This place is such an incredible shame. Ambience and decor is top notch. Service and food sadly disappointing. Not sure where the problem lies, but it's got the foundation to be a great place. Unfortunately, the tacos are terribly plain and frankly that's a dish that's really hard to get so wrong. Chef needs to elevate the food to match the surroundings, and the bar staff could use some customer service training. It's salvageable, but needs some effort from management/owner. Giving it an extra star because the DJ tonight was playing great songs!!”

“My son graduated from Syracuse University this weekend and we stayed in a beautiful home on skaneateles lake. Pure events came to our home and made dinner for a party of 9. It was outstanding - from the appetizers to the dessert - it was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it. And they left the kitchen in perfect order.”

“Mike's in my opinion is the best in town! That is as long as you hit it at the right time. I usually always go for the good ol slice for convenience. During the day its fresh and so good but late after noon and night it sits there for what seems to be hours, Rock hard crust and rubbery cheese. I have learn to NEVER grab a night slice due to it always bein so bad from sitting so long. I love the fact they have a slice deal now-(buy 5 slices and get one free). thanks for the great day slices but please step up on the night slices.”
