“Been to a few fast food locations that had just opened and of course it is expected to be a bit all over the place since it's a new team trying to work together but this location happens to be one of the few good ones. Besides Arby's being one of the best fast food chains on Long Island that location is doing a great job. The staff are very nice and friendly and even when the placed is packed they still manage to keep orders going!!! Will definitely be one of the places I stop frequently at ????????????”

“Wow! Visited Boxcar Burgers late this afternoon and found it to be warm and inviting. Owners Michael and Steve greeted us and took the time to show us around. We tried one of almost everything- cheeseburgers, hot dogs, fries, tots and macaroni salad. All delicious - potato rolls were a plus. Stop in here for great comfort food and fast service. We’ll be back!”

“We were there for the Football game on a Saturday night. Great atmosphere for that! TVs everywhere you look. They had drink specials, and food specials. Lots of families. Food was very good, and the service was awesome. They also have a Sunday brunch that's very reasonably priced. I've had their breakfast specials at their Patchogue location, and it was very good and reasonably priced. I like this location much better because the service was really good.”

“7 of us went out for a birthday dinner. We had reservations and our table was waiting for us. The place isn't too large, the decor was nice, simple, and very clean. The acoustics was great for being crowed. The bread basket was warm-- Brooklyn style bread with dipping sauce. All the food was excellent, tasted fresh and healthy, not greasy. Our waitress was top notch, being very busy did not skip a beat. The drinks were great, we had dirty martinis, watermelon martini, coconut martini. I liked they left the shakers on the table so drinks were kept cold. One of the best parts was we weren't rushed at all. Great space in between apps and the main meal, so you weren't rushed at all. Had a great time and would go back.”

“Normally, I'm MORE than wary when deciding on BBQ. Long Island has its fair share of weak places, but Old Fields/Setauket was REALLY good. Cornbread is UNMATCHED, brisket was BETTER than Grandma's (sorry Nana), the creamed spinach was solid, and the Mac & Cheese was rockin'. I thought the collard greens were a little too spicy; didn't think it was necessary to heat them up, but the underlying vegetables were good. Service was excellent... we had a number of employees come over and check on us, including the owner. I'm actually psyched to go back. MAKE SURE you get the brisket! If you don't, that's on you...”

“It's a small and cozy store but the prices are insanely expensive even in comparison to the prices in the city (Manhattan). It's $6.80 for a large and popcorn chicken is $6 while in the city you can get it for $5.75 and $3-4 respectively. I usually ask for 30% sugar but even so, the drink is too sweet. I really enjoy boba but I wish it weren't so expensive here and that it wasn't drowned with sugar. The staff does their job but isn't particularly friendly. I get it once in awhile if I crave it, otherwise I don't think it justifies the price at all.”
