“Ate here today and the food was amazing. Very creative and well executed. Will be back! Very nice staff too. I had the chicken and waffles, which I could have split because the portion was huge. The menu options are inventive and full of flavor. Also, be sure to get the pimento cheese fondue, yum.”

“Excellent food only matched by their excellent service. The host and person managing emails delivered premium service when we had questions about our reservation and our upcoming dining experience. I normally would not expect this level of service at a restaurant. Everyone loved their meals. It is quite expensive, but you pay for what you get.”

“Incredible pizza!!! This is authentic italian pizza. The crust is light, flavorful, chewy in one bite and crisp in the next. Never have I had such perfectly cooked pizza. We tried the margarita, the soft egg pizza with arugula and the mushroom pizza with white sauce and garlic. All three were delicious but the egg pizza was possibly the best pizza I've ever had. I only make it to the Durham Chapel Hill area a few times a year but I will definitely be back to get another egg pie!!!”

“Big shout out to Ninth Street Bakery for hanging in there during the epidemic and still supplying the team with box lunches. I lived the roast turkey sandwich and WOW was that a BIG cookie ????????. I'm still partial to the pumpkin muffin though and the almond cake I had once”

“I *LOVE* Toast. Their food is so amazing. I've been going to this restaurant occasionally for almost ten years and I have never once been disappointed. Their goat cheese and honey crostinis are a particular favorite of mine and my family's, and any puree soup they have is bound to be delicious. So highly recommended.”

“Awesome food and laid back atmosphere. Come for the food, but stay for the ambiance. Breakfast served all day, tou cant go wrong. Ordered the vegetarian breakfast burrito and it was amazing. Wife had the sweet potato french toast, also amazing. Great spot downtown Durham. Great place for lunch meeting, date night, or just for hanging with friends. Service was swift and staff was quite friendly. You have to try, you will not be disappointed......”

“There are so many places in the area that do a better job with tapas, but it's good quality food.”

“Great Indian food! Particularly enjoyed the chicken curry and paneer tikka. The place is clean/well decorated and has a nice ambience overall. Their naan was just ok and their dishes are a little pricey. Their drinks selection is also good with some craft beers available (a little overpriced too). I would also recommend making a reservation.”

“This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Durham! I could eat here every week. The squid ink pasta is hands down one of the most flavorful dishes I have ever experienced. The service and atmosphere are both outstanding! It's best to have a reservation as they are usually pretty crowded. When I go I usually request Katie!! She's amazing and she ALWAYS suggests the BEST dishes to try!! I ❤ this place and I'm so glad it's here in the Bull City!!!!! :)”

“This little Ceasars is the best! The"new one " near the village, though, whewww did not give me stuffed crust after I paid, went home .The manager there, wouldn't give me his name, only offered me a 5 dollar pizza when I freaking paid for what I wanted and WAS RUDE for absolutely no reason at all.”

“North Durham's newest is also one of the best! I ordered empanada thinking that it would be the same size as the others I have had. When it came out, it's the size of a calzone...and so fresh, obviously hand made and delicious. There's so much menu to choose from; I can't wait to eat my way through it. The salsa has a genuine kick to it that you won't find in fast food. Be patient, it's worth it! Best parking is behind the building.”

“I took my lady here for New Year's Eve dinner and it was great! She had the lamb and I had the scallops. Both were done perfectly. We shared a potato soup and cripy brussel sprouts which were also great. This is a small place but staff is very attentive & friendly. We will be back!”

“Best takeout service I've ever had... BY FAR! I mean, takeout is usually "let me know when you are ready to order", but not here. We talked about the entire menu, what I like, what I wanted and what is really good. I definitely made the right choice too cause I can't see ever picking anything better. Come on man, that is some next level service.”

“My first time there and I definitely will be going back. The food is awesome...at least the BBQ I had. The service was excellent. That is becoming a rare occurrence. I went to hear some music and the stage is just right for this place. Not to loud, at least the act I saw. I look forward to seeing my favorite Blues Artist there...All around great place for music and good Q. Check 'em out. Be sure to check their website for upcoming acts. I love this place!”

“King’s sandwich shop is this great little corner walk up space in The heart of Downtown Durham. Seems like a good place to go after a night of drinking. They have some outdoor seating but not much. I have the carrot dog which was good and novel to order but I would not get it again. Stick with the veggie dogs. Tots are good too.”

“It's the best cheese steak restaurant I have ever been! They have really good food, so delicious and pretty affordable prices. Very friendly staff and well skilled chef makes the meals. The meat they use on the meals is fresh, it's not a fast food.. 5 star rating and appreciate the service!”

“Tried this new place out today. The staff was friendly and the chopped pork with vinegar sauce was excellent. Also tried the stew, beans and collards and will plan to be back for them again. A great experience and likely the best pork bbq I've had in awhile. Update from my second visit: The chopped pork continued to be excellent and the collards may have even been better the second time around! Love the folks here and will continue to keep coming back.”

“My roof and I are both very happy with Alpine Roofing. As a social scientist, I was intrigued with how this company organizes itself to ensure the highest quality work and interaction with customers. I called David on the phone, my first contact with Alpine. David quickly sent Christian to follow up at my home to provide the estimate for the job. Both steps were carried out in a very timely way and I scheduled the work much more quickly than I expected. Donesha took responsibility for the work next, meeting with me to look at the site and to coordinate preparation with me so the workers would have designated areas for access, materials, the disposal trailer, etc. It was very easy to communicate with her and the workers followed the plan she and I worked out. Once the work began, teams took on specific tasks. Scheduling of the specialized teams was impeccable and very efficient, thanks to Nathan's work behind the scenes. I talked with Francisco, one of three foremen with Alpine, who described how much he appreciated the chance to take responsibility for the quality of the teams under his supervision. I think that the way the company is organized allows each worker to know exactly what his/her job is and each person has the opportunity to take pride in what they have contributed to the overall job. The sense of pride and accountability is the secret to the high quality of the whole job. My neighbors noticed how clean the job site was, how little the job intruded on neighbors and how very efficiently everything was run. One neighbor, an architect, plans to recommend Alpine to clients and friends on the basis of his observations and my very positive recommendation. As I told Christian when I paid for the work, I have never had more fun working with an organization, and I credit the unusually sophisticated structure and functioning of Alpine Roofing.”

“Just stopped in for a beverage and the service was wonderful, great conversation with Kevin. Gave us some great tips on the area. The menu looks fabulous and I can’t wait to come back again. Yummy fried eggs, who would’ve thought a Friday could get any better! So creamy, crunchy and a beautiful presentation!”

“1st time here! Amazing and tasty food! I had a very full of fresh sliced roast beef sandwich! We enjoyed walking around looking at all the items for sale in the store. There are various types of drinks in the coolers to choose from, or a little coffee shop inside too. You won't go away hungry here! If we're ever back up here, a stop back to here is most definitely going to happen!!”

“My daughter moved to Durham and during the move I passed this charming place many times. In fact, I thought the name was Noodles, Dumplings and Sweets. Tonight, while out on my own, I finally stopped in and I’m so glad I did! Rose’s was busy in the kitchen at with incoming customers. I was a bit intimidated to sit alone at the bar but I was mesmerized by all the activity. And I got to talk to someone who was about to take a fencing class next door! I ordered the Autumn Vegetable Noodles and a Sparkling Rose. I was ready to deftly use chopsticks but the noodles and veggies were so hefty that I succumbed to a knife and fork. The presentation was beautiful and the flavors were a mixture of spices that were nearly addictive. Deep, hearty flavors that melded into the noodles and surrounded the taste buds with absolute delight made my evening simply delightful. The staff was kind (but rushed) and have a routine that keeps every customer attended to. Yum. Just yum.”
