I decided to give this place a try today. I got their Lot 63 iced latte, and it was good. The cookie that came with the latte was somewhat weird in terms of texture, but it's a Moravian cookie, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. The after taste, the latte leaves on the palate had notes of spice and were good at least for me.

I honestly can’t believe this hasn’t been done yet because it’s just such a good idea. Make a cozy, rustic, quality coffee house with good WiFi/coffee/tea and most importantly food and put it in the most historic beautiful part of Winston-Salem, in Old Salem. Lot 63 does not disappoint.

As soon as you walk in you are greeted with multiple lounging areas with couches which almost masks just how spacious the entire taproom is. Despite having enough space to fill with large comfy lounging spaces, I counted at least 20 individual seats where you could plug in to an outlet if you are working on a laptop.

Did I mention the amazing smells that greet you wafting through the door as soon as you walk up? If you haven’t had it yet you HAVE to try the Moravian sugar cake. The staff is incredibly friendly and clearly invested in the success of the taproom. It feels like they take every order with personal interest.

After getting my tea and sugar cake I meandered to the back of the taproom where I discovered ANOTHER cozy sitting area hidden inside a small alcove to the right fully outfitted with outlets. I expect to be here very often in the future.

Finally had a chance to swing by Lot 63, and it does not disappoint! Excellent coffee and baked goods, a beautifully adapted historic space with custom furniture, and lots of nods to both Moravian traditions and the Wilkerson family.

    1) I was so surprised to find Cafe con Leche on the menu, what a treat! Excellent brew.

    2) You cannot beat Wilkerson baked goods, that’s the best hot cross bun I think I’ve ever had! The Wilkerson family prides itself on high quality ingredients and they clearly use ample spices. The difference is obvious from the first bite - both the hot cross bun and Love Feast roll were amazing. 😊 Hoping they’ll eventually stock larger packages here.

In addition to the many Moravian touches throughout the space, the furniture was handcrafted by an Amish family near Yadkinville and adds so much to the ambiance. I’m interested in buying some as well, but the company name I was given is listed online as going out of business several years ago? Would management be willing to share how to find them?

Very nice brand new coffee shop in Old Salem. We enjoyed an oat milk latte and a hot chocolate. The space is nice and big and the staff is very welcoming. Our only suggestion would be to add some additional food options.

    Old Salem’s 🏡 new favorite 💫
Stellar bean coffee, ‘authentic ambiance’ cradled by unmatched interior craftsmanship/craftswomanship with beautiful original wood floors and windows.

Easy to find across from center quad & plenty of free street parking & lot. Clean-comfy-inviting vibe, prices are great and check-out seamless technology.

I happened to catch Day #2 on a cold blustery late Sunday morning here in lovely-green Winston-Salem & sat down with a tasty (generously-small) fresh hot drip ☕️

Owner Ned & his Professional Crew
    are Friendly & Gracious Hosts,
    with more offerings to come.

I’m in Old Salem quite a bit
so LOT 63 makes my 2nd Home
    a lot like my 1st!
