“Until today I had pretty good experiences. Today my garlic knots were cold so I returned them. The cook didn't have a word to say. He just threw them in the trash and put more in the oven. He walked away so a 2nd cook checked on them after a few minutes of working on something that looked like a broken piece of equipment. He barely used any soap when he washed his hands and as if that wasn't bad enough just before he opened the oven door to check on the garlic knots he played with his red hair, twirling it around with his fingers, then he proceeded to touch the garlic knots with his bare hands to see how hot they were. I was done! I told the cashier to throw the knots in the trash. I no longer wanted them. I didn't want to argue or cause a scene so I didn't ask for a refund. I just won't return. The cashier was pleasant but the 2 cooks could use some more training on customer service, how to properly wash your hands and why you wash your hands.”

“I have been looking for a great Ruben in the triad for the past 6 years and I have finally found it at O'Brians deli. I have had Rubin's in most major metropolitan areas on the east coast, so I can say with some authority that the Rubin's at O'Brien's are among the best. I have had some of there other sandwiches and they are also excellent. If you go be sure to try the German potato salad. It's like what my Grandmother used to make, no joke”

“This place is pretty awesome. I left 4 stars because you can't pay for the food either a credit or debit card, and must have cash. If you don't have cash on you however they do have an ATM machine conveniently located at you walk through the door of the restaurant. They have daily specials here from food off the hot bar, and a great selection of food on the menu. The atmosphere is friendly and clean, the waitresses are really nice. The parking lot was I have showed in the pictures is kind of tiny, but if its crowded you can park at the store across the street, and walk over. It's not too far of a walk. 1 person eating here will run close to $10 a head.”

“Our waiter, Matt, was fabulous. He knew the menu perfectly, didn't have to think at all to answer our questions. He was attentive when he needed to be and left us alone when he saw he wasn't needed. If you like Thai curries, then you will love the Thai chicken and mushroom soup. It was chock full of chicken and had great flavor. I could have eaten several bowl of this. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and was very moist. The salmon was also on point. The butter cake was awesome as well. The staff, the food, the ambiance - what a great way to celebrate an anniversary.”

“One of my favorites for many years now. The outdoor patio space is the absolute best in Winston Salem. Partly covered and, at times, heated, and the rest open, under a canopy of mature trees, the outdoor seating is quite comfortable. They have a great menu with plenty of variety. Every time I have been there the folks at our table found something delicious to enjoy. Their inside dining is perfect for business lunches as the booths are spacious and it's not so loud as to make conversation difficult. Plus they have a bar with all ABC permits and a good selection of wines. This restaurant has stood the test of time by countinuing to offer excellent ambience, food and service. If you have not yet been here, it's easily in the top 10 places you have to try.”

Came with our son looking at colleges. Tomato pie lived up to its billing. My friend and I agreed to split the tomato pie and the meatloaf. I loved the latter and had two delicious bites of the tomato pie. So much for sharing. Upscaled southern food- vegan and gluten free friendly. Quaint atmosphere! Recommended by a friend - her favorite!”

“I can see some of the poor reviews being true here but I have never had a bad experience and I come here on the regular. I go for lunch and dinner on weekdays and weekends. Expect a wait on the weekend evenings. The food is always so good, no matter what I have tried. It is flavorful and filling. Their margaritas are so unique and made with fresh ingredients. The service can be hit or miss if you are looking for perfection, which is why I still rated 5 stars. This place is SO busy sometimes it is unavoidable to get less than perfect service. I would recommend this to anyone new to town or just visiting.”
