“We chose this place for dinner based on the great online reviews (we were visiting from SC). I didn't enjoy my food here AT ALL. I ordered the single bacon cheeseburger (specifically requested that it be cooked "super well done") with fries. Y'all, I swear, the hamburger patties was SO THIN, if it hadn't had bacon on it, I wouldn't have even known there was meat on it! After my first bite, I pulled it apart, truly thinking there was no burger on it, and see the paper thin burger...and it was PINK on the inside! I showed my husband and he couldn't believe it. He started putting his beef tips on my plate to eat. Then I ate a few fries and they were so salty that even smothering them in ketchup didn't help! So, since hubby doesn't mind extra salt, he took my fries and gave me half of his baked potato. The fries were even too salty for him. I will say that the baked potato was DELICIOUS! But I was so aggravated about my meal that it didn't matter. I gave them 3 stars because my husband enjoyed his meal (beef tips w/loaded baked potato) and the staff was pleasant. Also, in talking to locals later, they said it is an okay place to eat IF you know what to order! Clearly, I did NOT! So, with all the good reviews, hubby liking his meal, and input from a few locals, I'll assume I just chose the wrong meal...even though, a burger and fries shouldn't be hard to make... AND I will NOT be going back to play roulette with the menu and HOPE I choose wisely.”

“We were coming through this town on our way to the beach and we stopped at this restaurant. We waited about five minutes to be seated, but there are seven of us so we expected it would take a minute to make accommodations. We were seated and Sam immediately came and took our drink orders and explained dishes to us. I ordered the strawberry biscuit and sweet tea, it was fantastic and so much better than what I had expected, which was a biscuit with strawberry jelly. What came out of the kitchen was a magical dish, two biscuits covered with strawberry and whipped cream and powdered sugar. It wad so delicious and Sam kept up with refills like a champ, she had to come back twice with pitchers for us and we never had an empty glass. She was so pleasant and her southern hospitality really made the experience for us. The food is fantastic, it comes out of the kitchen fast, and the service is great. This is a really wonderful little restaurant and you're missing a real gem if you pass it by. I definitely recommend this restaurant, go in and ask for Sam!”

“The manager on duty was very rude. She said we had to wait for our rice to cook. When we told her just to swap it with another side, she said she couldn't do that and that we had to wait the 10 minutes. The rest of the staff was very nice and swapped the rice out. I'm not sure I would go back if I seen her working.”

“We went in a bit late. Service was great. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Food choices were great. Prices were affordable. The food quality was decent. Portion sizes were appropriate per the price. We did both have overcooked steaks but we didn't want to wait for them to be sorted so we just ate them. The steak also could have used seasoning and/or a compound butter for more flavor. The rest of our food was good. We traveled from out of state and went after a day of strenuous hiking so a good cooked meal in a friendly atmosphere was most appreciated. We were glad we stopped. Thanks!”

“Some of the best food I've ever had, and I just moved here from D.C. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and very patient with all their customers. The cocktails are delicious and they also have a decent selection of beer and wine. Food is a bit more expensive than most places around, but for the quality of the food and the preparation, I didn't think it was even remotely overpriced. Out server was extremely knowledgeable about the food and the wine, which was a nice touch as well. Highly recommend!”

“Being a kids party we had the cheese pizza! Huge slices we had some to take home!! The birthday cake was the milky way with caramel and chocolate. The cake was so good! Perfect in fact! Just the right flavors. We unfortunately forgot the candles and the staff was so awesome they even had candles for the birthday girl and saved the day!!! Annie the owner came to make sure things were going well and to talk with us for a bit. It's nice when an owner greets their customers and treats them like family! Definitely will go back!!!”
