“Good little store. They have a good bit of things to offer. They have a really good menu for food. They made my food fresh. I had a large meat lovers pizza, and let me tell you it was soooo good. Ray and his wife are very nice.”

Jerniman's Campground

Address: 990 Irvin Garrish Hwy, Ocracoke, NC 27960, USA

Restaurant

“Clean, quiet, safe campground. Excellent location by Ocracoke Station. Walk to 1718 Brewery, Howards, Jason's. Gas station and store right there, bakery across. Large, grassy spaces. Place was bug sprayed one night but did not seem to help. Bring bug repellant. No wifi. Bathrooms could be cleaner but i blame messy campers, not owners. #4 bath house had hot water in sink but not shower during the 4 days we were there. (Ragland #9)”

Service was good and prompt and restaurant itself was clean with great atmosphere. Bathroom was spacious and clean. There is also a lot of cool art around the windows and walls, worth chrkcing out. Will be back! And will try other items on the menu.”

“Without question this is a must stop if you find your self staying at Ocracoke Island. Not only the food but the overall experience was amazing. I wish I took more pictures. The customer care, attention to keeping our tables clear and beverages coming, server was on point. The Raw Oysters did not disappoint in your a fan. The tuna, the fish of the day, were so delicious and perfectly cooked, I'm ready to go back. You owe to your self to check this place if you visit the island.”

1718 Brewing Ocracoke

Address: 1129 Irvin Garrish Hwy, Ocracoke, NC 27960, USA

Restaurant

“The beer is excellent. We have a lot of experience with craft beer over the last 30+ years, and this brewery is doing a great job. The food, meh. The red drum in the fish tacos was fresh and good, but who uses stale hard shell corn taco shells in 2022? The 1970s called, they want their tacos back. The sliders were fine. The beef and blue cheese was the best of the three. I would happily come back for the beer.”

Plum Pointe Kitchen

Address: 1129 Irvin Garrish Hwy, Ocracoke, NC 27960, USA

Restaurant

“It was so good I ate it all (except for the chips) before I could get a picture. Not that the chips weren't good too. They were very good, but it was a lot of food so I couldn't quite eat all of it. We shared the Drunken Chicken Nachos. My husband got a Philly Cheese Steak and said it was great. It was good quality meat and it wasn't soggy. I got three sliders: beef slider with blue cheese and caramelized onions on brioche bun, Hawaiian slider with cheddar cheese and pineapple red pepper chutney on brioche bun, and Chicken slider beer-braised chicken with 1718 beer with house made beer cheese and fried chicken skins on pretzel roll. Everything was fantastic!”

“So, so delicious! We arrived on Ocracoke at 10:15 and immediately came here for breakfast/lunch at 10:30. Outdoor seating was available, no wait, and the food was so outstanding we stopped again on our way off the island because our preschooler wanted "more quesadilla!" We had the carne asada burrito, the chorizo pollo tacos, the Ocracoke quesadilla, and the regular cheese quesadilla. Everything was delicious and quick. And reasonably priced. Would absolutely recommend!!!!”

“We stopped in late Thursday night not knowing anything about this place. The atmosphere was awesome and was a true Island vibe. The food was amazing and the service was great. The food came out super quick which was great because we needed to catch the 10:30 ferry out of there. This place was one of the many highlights of my trip to the Outer Banks. Next time I'm on the island I will definitely be stopping in for more than just food because it looked like they had a great beer and drink selection.”

Thai Moon Carry-Out

Meal takeaway Restaurant

“Food was excellent. My husband ordered the Pad Thai and I ordered the beef with rice and red and green peppers. I would gave given her 5 stars if she was the least but friendly but she was not. I almost did not order due to her attitude but was really hungry and did not have many other options. I was not disappointed by the food though. We ate outside under the trees which was nice.”

Eduardo's Taco Stand

Address: 10 Lawton Ln, Ocracoke, NC 27960, USA

Restaurant

“Great food truck/outdoor dining with great food. Large portions with plentiful flavor. The owner Eduardo was being interviewed by a local news personality while we were there. Highly recommend for something different than the rest of the island offerings.”

Stockroom Street Food

Address: 294 Irvin Garrish Hwy, Ocracoke, NC 27960, USA

Meal takeaway Restaurant

“We couldn't wait to try this place, and thankfully they opened for the season before our vacation ended. First of all, the location is awesome. The views of Silver Lake and the Lighthouse from their porch are second to none. As for the food....we loved it. My wife had the Thai chicken and I had the spicy spam fried rice. Yes I said spam and it was fantastic. We also had breakfast burritos on our last day and they were terrific as well. We ate at most every restaurant on the island last week and had a lot of amazing food. But when I asked my wife on our drive home..."what was the best thing you ate while on Ocracoke?", she said ..."Stockroom Thai chicken". There isn't much more I can say after that. Great food. Great people. Great view. Find them.”

Dajio

Address: 305 Irvin Garrish Hwy, Ocracoke, NC 27960, USA

Restaurant

“Good experience, close was listed at 9 and we showed up at 8 but it definitely felt like we were showing up too late for dinner. The bar area was nice and the music was spot on for location but keep in mind if you are seated outside there appears to be a single bathroom. I imagine when the outside is crowded from the bar there would be competition between a dinner crowd and a bar crowd for the single stall. We are here off season so it wasn't bad. The menu is good for the island, don't be fooled the crab Mac and cheese was far better than the photos give credit, the oysters were very enjoyable. Pricing is what you should expect for a vacation spot, market price would equate to a $30 minimum and you should expect that, drinks are priced for vacation as well. Overall a good spot from the places we tried, would recommend for early dinner or later evening entertainment and food.”

SmacNally’s Waterfront Bar & Grill

Address: 180 Irvin Garrish Hwy, Ocracoke, NC 27960, USA

Restaurant

“We wanted somewhere to eat before our Ferry to Cedar Island. My husband wanted some “real” seafood. We parked at the ferry and walked over at about 11am. We were seated quickly right on the water and had a short wait for our food. He said his fish was grilled perfectly and my chicken sandwich was the same (seasoned well also!). The four of us ate for under $75.00 which is pretty unheard of at a seafood restaurant in tourist season. Thanks for a great experience!”

The Quarter Deli

Address: 79 NC-45, Swanquarter, NC 27885, USA

Restaurant

“Stopped on our way to the ferry. 13 of us. We were taken care of very well. Fresh and fast with no mixed up orders. Food was tasty. Thanks”

Big Trout Marina Cafe

Address: 17 Summerlin Dr, Engelhard, NC 27824, USA

Restaurant

“Food delicious, good place to eat if not in rush. Harbor front outdoor tables available. Probably not for elite food snobs, but we enjoyed it!”

Sugar N Spice

Address: 34981 US-264, Engelhard, NC 27824, USA

Restaurant

“We had toured Lake Mattamuskeet and stopped here for a late lunch on the way back to the OBX. Holy Sweet Baby Jesus - it was fantastic! Cheese burgers tasted like what grandma would make. Chili and fixings we're in perfect proportion to the sandwich. The fries and onion rings were on point and perfectly cooked. The golden fried winglets were superb - and when you drizzle a little hot sauce on them... OMG! The lemonade was even way above average. And let's not neglect mentioning the service - the folks running this joint make you feel at home, for real! If you're anywhere near Sugar and Spice stop for some food. You'll be glad you did.”

Hotel Engelhard

Address: 34901 US-264, Engelhard, NC 27824, USA

Restaurant

“Old school hotel, didn't arrive in time to be checked in so my keys were left in an envelope. The porch is wonderful, room was clean, nothing fancy kind of like a hunting/fishing lodge. What was cool was even though there was no coffee in the morning the gas station across the street is owned by the same guy and he gave me free coffee bc I stayed at the hotel. I loved the old school vibe and country trust would 100% stay again.”

H&L’S Restaurant

Address: 32046 US-264, Engelhard, NC 27824, USA

“What a great place to eat at. Everything on the buffet line was so tasty. The fried chicken is the best. The staff made every effort making sure we were completely satisfied. A lovely country ride through farmland and its so inspirational. Its well worth the trip.”

Martelle's Feed House

Address: 33301 US-264, Engelhard, NC 27824, USA

“Nice little place that has buffet and serves some good southern food. Be careful if you eat too much, you might be asleep within the hour 😅. Food was delicious and the staff keep up with you. If I'm ever over that way again I'll definitely be stopping in.”

Harris Steak & Seafood House
