“We had a BLT pizza and a Meatball sandwich. Both were really good. The pizza had a sweet taste probably from the caramelized onions and the pizza had loaded meatballs in it. I could barely finish it!! Living in Chapel Hill for a long time it was the first time we tried there. Inside was big and had a relaxing ambience. It also had some local items to shop. Love this place and will be back again!”

“Tried a few dishes on the menu and it's a mixed feeling. Some are really good and to my taste while some are not. Generally speaking, I felt their fried dishes are too oily and I'm guessing it could be something to do with the flour they use. Tried fried oyster there, super oily!! But their fried pork fillet is my personal favorite. Staff were nice and very friendly there!”

Especially for how much food you get and how delicious it is the prices are extremely fair. With peanut sauce even a peanut hater will love. They even make bubble teas and fresh brewed Thai teas that rival some of the best tea shops in the Raleigh/Durham area. “I have been to Spike's several times to dine-in, and have gotten pick-up orders from there an absolutely shameful amount of times. When I first discovered it, I was eating their chicken 2-3 times a week because it is absolutely killer. The seasoning is top-notch, spicy and flavorful, the chicken is fried very well, and the hot dogs and side options are varied, creative, and flawlessly executed. Beyond the food, the service is also excellent, with all of the staff I've interacted with being very friendly and attentive people who also cultivate an atmosphere of laid-back and pleasant dining. I went twice yesterday and was very well taken-care-of by my server (for both lunch and dinner), Zach. Even when there was a mix-up with my lunch order, Zach, the management, and the folks in the kitchen took care of it with speed and aplomb in the middle of a busy lunch hour, which I greatly appreciated and which led me to return for dinner to express that gratitude. I really cannot recommend Spike's highly enough. If you're in the mood for delicious food, friendly people, and the fantastic daily specials they offer that I haven't even bubbled over in this review, please check them out!”

“Great service and good food! I was in for a meal before a show across the street and had some time to kill. Esther took good care of me! Seemed like she turned up right when I was ready for the next thing. I started with the beer cheese soup, which was delicious. It came with bread, which was the perfect texture for the soup. I had a chopped salad for dinner with pulled pork added. That had lots of flavors going on. Finished things off with an excellent Scottish porter that had hints of chocolate and caramel and was very smooth. Really good meal here, so stop in if you want good service and a great selection of beers, especially if you like Belgians (wide variety of those, but also a good mix of other styles as well).”

“They delivered us a pizza that was burnt on the bottom. I could barely eat it and had to eat around the burnt crust. It just had a burnt taste to it. When I called to I form them, they offered to re-make the pizza or send a coupon. I ordered it to enjoy with some friends and I did not want to wait another 45 minutes for a new pizza so I took the coupon. That act bumped them up to 3 stars otherwise it would have been 1. Where was the quality control?”
