“Absolutely amazing! We had vegan and non vegan diets at our table and we loved absolutely everything. It’s one of those places where you don’t want to stop eating even though you’re full. The beer and cider was SO good too. We are so impressed with thunder island brewing. If you have the chance go!”

“The location cannot be beat. Magnificent views of Columbia river next to a waterfall and the gardens are tastefully and beautifully maintained. The hotel is a historic property and the clientele is mostly older retirees and that is very interesting as there was no convenient place to plug in your devices. Limited dining options in the facility but short drive from other places nearby.”

“My mom and I fell in love with this place, we went 2 days in a row! Their food is soo good, everything made from scratch in house including the bread, yum! The coffee was so good, their homemade whipped cream was literally the best we've ever had. It smells amazing inside so it's hard to not get food when you're there. Soup of the day was clam chowder (pictured) and it was divine. We will definitely be back when we're in town, highly recommended!”

“I tried this place for the first time at the Hood River County Fair. As you can imagine lines for food where very crazy. This spot did not have a line so, naturally I asked the lady at the booth are you open do you folks still have food? I figured they had ran out of the food. The crowd was unbelievable lines were so long but this booth didn't have a line oddly. The lady responded very rudely "why wouldn't we be open" I still tried to be nice and make conversation about their food and how the fair businesses was for them but she was short and not very good with her customer service. I ordered 50.00 worth of food because all In all I had a taste test of the beef brisket and pork ended up opting for the beef was very tasty. But honestly her service was not good and may never try their food again due to that face to face contact.”

“Some of the best tacos I've had in Hood River. The ingredients were fresh and the meat in the chicken and al pastor tacos was cooked perfectly. I ordered guacamole on the tacos, and received a generous amount of super fresh and tasty guacamole. I get a headache from MSG, so I appreciate that their food is made from scratch and without artificial seasonings.”

“If you are learning to ski, don't overlook this often overlooked ski area on Mt. Hood. It's only got one chairlift, and a dozen trails, but that's all you need when you are learning. This reminds me of old New England mom and pop ski areas I learned on as a kid. the views are amazing on a clear day, you are right on Mt. Hood, and can see Baker and Mt. Rainier from the top. It's now owned by Mt. Hood Meadows, but is still that mom and pop feel. I had a recent day there for my son's ski race and the groomed runs were hard pack, but the edges of the runs were untracked powder from a 5 day old storm.”

“Undeniably delightful dinner cruise! The food was delicious, the service spectacular and the captain of the ship navigated his Sternwheeler flawlessly. We participated in this cruise during the Fall and enjoyed it immensely. We will be returning this summer with our grandsons so that they can experience the magic. We're looking forward to partaking the views (more daylight) and a sunset. We highly, highly recommend this experience and this company.”

“Absolutely love the tacos! I go down there every day after windsurfing and order the same exact thing and it never gets old. I’ve also become very close to both of the owners, I could definitely say they are two of the kindest people I’ve ever met!??”

“It was a beautiful, covid impacted early evening in the gorge. They offer outdoor seating booths completely separated from the adjacent tables so it seemed reasonably safe. Their wait staff all wear masks and are pretty attentive. The rye Old Fashioned was great. The food was hit and miss. Some people in my party enjoyed their dishes; the grilled cheese and corn succotash. However, the nacho dishes were a bit underwhelming and the braised pork Philly sandwich had potential had the meat not been excessively salty. None of us who ordered it were able to finish it due to the salt. I would go back for the whiskey with a small appetite and stick to the charcuterie which was easily the best thing on the food menu.”

“I ordered the Pork belly on the Boa Bun. It was absolutely amazing! Friendly service by Tess and the staff. Top shelf margarita was spot on with fresh ingredients. If you're looking to have a great foodie experience, with a fun energetic staff... it's time you made your way here to Modern Taco. I can't wait to come back! Enjoy!!”

“Great stop today for a quick lunch at Solstice Pizza. Located along the Columbia with great views of the park and River. Lunch menu is filled with fresh and unique offerings. A stand out was the butternut squash soup and wide array of wood fire prepared Pizza. Plus I had a Chicken Caesar that stood out with it's tangy preparation. Hood River has many solid options, if you have not tried Solstice yet put it on your must-list.”

“I stopped here on my way to Mt. Hood for a quick road snack and wish I would've had the time to go back for more...these are the best tacos I've had in a long time, very tasty! I had one asada and one al pastor and both were delicious!!! I highly recommend them.”

“Okay, these guys/gals are great. Food is out standing, atmosphere is modern and welcoming and the beers are perfect. And when I say “perfect” I mean dead on true to style. It is refreshing to order a Pale, ESB, Dry Stout and all of them to be dead on! Amazing, like drinking in the Isles. Staff is amazing too. Everyone very friendly and helpful. This is a must stop!!”

“When you can wait for your table at a brewery and have THIS as your view? You know you’re off to a good start! My son, wife, and I had a wonderful time at pFriem. Had an awesome special (beef lentil stew.. perfect for this time of year), and a truly outstanding array of beer. Everything I tried, no matter the style, was excellent. Loved the sours, and went home with a few 16.9oz beers that I thoroughly enjoyed later in the weekend. Great spot, family friendly (small, but great little play area for the kids), nice outdoor seating, highly recommend!”
