“We had been shopping for Christmas and we decided to have dinner at Shari's - which is close to our home . It was a pleasant evening. The Hostess was very nice and so were the rest of the staff. We ordered two Entrees and were pleasantly surprised when we were told that we get a free slice of Pie of our choice. We had a Cuban Sandwich and a Trail Boss burger. Both were wonderful choices. “I was in high school when Sandwich Express first opened. Their food is just as good now as it was then. I think it's something they put in their bread....or maybe the garlic fries. “This location is close to my work so I go occasionally. The only time I ever have an issue is when I order the mac n cheese. I LOVE it, but it's always cold and the noodles don't quite feel cooked through. I keep getting it hoping that it was a fluke, but I've had more cold Mac than not in the last 2 years. The sandwiches and soups I get as a pick 2 are always hot and fresh so this seems to be isolated to just the Mac. The staff are usually friendly and quick to take my order.”

“Wife and daughter split a club sandwich. They liked it. I had the sampler breakfast with pancakes and upgraded the hash browns. I found the scrambled eggs with with ham a little lacking in flavor, but I like spicy food a lot. The sausage was real good. The bacon, even though I like mine much more rare, was very flavorful and I enjoyed it even crispy. The hash browns were excellent. The pancakes were good, not great, but I ate them. The coffee was alright also. All in all a decent meal.”

“Stood there for 10 minutes waiting to pick up an online order before I was acknowledged. Even on Christmas day this is unacceptable, if not even more-so because it is Christmas. Then again it is Shari's, so I shouldn not expect much better. That said, their food is good at this location, which cannot be said for all of them. The service on the other nights we have visited this location are at least fair, and the wait time generally is much less or non-existent. Not to mention my girlfriend and I don't have a ton of family, Holiday meals are something that are often not afforded to us, so Shari's providing these makes us very happy, and allows us to reminisce the flavors of our childhood, even at odd hours of the night; and no other chain restaurant offers me such an experience. While I was there they did manage to seat about 20 people in a small period of time, however for me personally, not being acknowledged for 10 minutes on Christmas left a bad taste in my mouth. It really is as simple as: "Thanks for coming in to Shari's, Happy Holidays! We'll be with you as soon as we can, as you can see, we're pretty busy!" 4/5”

I wasn't able to get a different soup without a hassle so I just ate salad and left. The establishment in Vancouver is nicer cleaner and great service. Krep in mind we ate here at approx 830pm. Not impressed.”
