“Literally amazing! Best athentic Chinese food. Great portion sizes and tofu options available.”

“If you enjoy PHO, this restaurant is a must. Clean, calm atmosphere. Friendly and diligent waiting staff. The food was delicious and at a fair price. I have the seafood soup, very heart and satisfying.”

“This place has a very good selection of Asian, American, and Italian foods. The food is always very good. They use fresh ingredients too. You can also customize your dish by making substitutions and additions. If you are vegetarian you can also choose tofu instead of meat. I definitely recommend it.”

“Amazing Japanese food of multiple styles. More than just a sushi place, Tadashi has authentic (and delicious) dishes that taste amazing. In fact I would say their non-sushi dishes are the best of the options, and the sushi was great. A definite must try, one of the best restaurants in State College period. Also if you like noodles don't miss out on their other smaller location.”

“Nice and decent place to grab a quick sandwich and get back to whatever you were doing. Also, very nice and friendly staff!!”

“One of the top-three pizzeria in State College. A little more expensive than the other pizza pubs in the borough, but valuable enough to pay the difference. Meat-lovers pizza is my favorite there, try it, if you really love meat! Beer list is wide enough to let you choose yours anytime with any taste.”

“This is my favorite of all of the Waffle Shops. The food is always good and the coffee is always fresh. We went on a Tuesday morning with a party of seven and had about a 3-minute wait. The only downside was that we got crammed into a table that was more appropriate for six people. But overall, I would always recommend this as a great place for breakfast at any hour.”

“The food was really delicious. My husband was hungry when we went in, but in the end he had to fight to finish his plate. It was a good size portion. We're definitely going there again!”

“Wings are ok but overpriced compared to other places with better wings. Their food ranges from okay to great depending on what you order. I recommend the gyro with fries on the side. Both lamb and chicken are great. The drinks are way more worth it at happy hour.”

“What can I say..I love Chipotle. Chipotle has been and always will be a go to option when it comes to pondering about what to eat for lunch. I knocked off a star because of how some employees have served the food. It is such an eyesore to see a server to put back/transfer back to the tray from the plate after pouring some. It makes me wonder if there is any type of interrelation between the serving size and the salary. Comment please if you know. I hope they don't assume that I don't eat much because of my petite size.”

“I loved this place. The manager was a very nice young man who tried very hard to introduce me to the many hop beers they had on tap. While I am not a fan, it was very impressive the efforts put forth to try to impress. The food was awesome and the service was amazing. This place is a must for those dropping the kids off to school.”

“Very cool College bar across the street from Penn State. Happens to have amazing pizza as well. Definitely try the sausage and roasted pepper! Daily drink specials, indoor and outdoor seating, and friendly staff. I visited in mid-afternoon of the summer semester, so it was very quiet, but I was able to get lots of local tips from the bartender. Would highly recommend!”

“This is also one of my go to places in town. Again, great drinks, excellent bar food and the music is always on point. You can usually miss the rush of the town here on most nights, it had a more laid back atmosphere compared with other downtown bars. The dessert are to die for! My favorite is the cherry pie highly recommended.”

“Literally never disappoints. I love coming here for breakfast or brunch. The home fries are amazing. Omelets, waffles, pancakes, and more! It is definitely worth the wait in line, and everyone knows it. It’s always a pleasure coming here, and I don’t mind giving them my money because I know what I’m getting every single time. Love the wait staff. They’re admirable as I watch them work on super busy mornings. If you live in state college and you’ve never been - you’re missing out. What are you waiting for - go already!”

“Coolest cats in town. Edit: There are not words in the language English to describe the awesomeness of these people. I have never in my life been able to flirt over the works of Jeremey Bentham. There is no other place in the world where you could have a stupendous, Vegas-style drink and also discuss the nuances of the French Revolution. Trust me, I’ve been to every other bar in town and there are none better.”

“Love the atmosphere! The burgers were great. Some unique combos as well as traditional. My sister had the Whimpy (slider) basket great value. My husband had the Corvette with wet fries he said it was delicious. And I had one with bacon, lettuce, mayo and (get this) peanut butter it was unique but seriously so good! I would order it again probably if I find myself there ever again that is what I will always get there. So glad I went out of my comfort zone!”

“Delicious food with huge portions, friendly and very quick service. The chicken was especially flavorful and yummy. The Yallah sauce was surprisingly good—creamy and cilantro-flavored. We’ll be back!”

“Great food! Appetizers, dinner, deserts- all seemed very fresh, just prepared! Would definitely recommend them!”

“Delicious food, giant portions, and modest prices. The menu is large and varied, with all sorts of options for meats, noodles/rices, and veggies. We came in around open on a Saturday, and the place was already filling up. Service was rather fast though, and we got our meals fresh and hot very quickly. My sis has been telling me how amazing this restaurant is for over a year, and it did not disappoint in the slightest. Can't wait to go again!”

“Best food in all of downtown. It seems reviews complaining about not adhering to the posted hours and unfriendly employees (always friendly in my experience) are pulling the rating down. This is a terrible injustice. With food this good, even if the owner dealt me a swift kick to the groin, I would still give 5 stars.”

“Good food. Good prices. Averages $18 a hibachi dinner. Only downside is that they don't cook in front of you in the habachi style, and it is more of a traditional sit down.”

“Perfect for what you should want and expect at this time of night. Get a fried Oreo or Chips Ahoy. They are amazing and very cheap. I am not a fan of the churros, and they flavor the fries with a popcorn seasoning (or something similar) -- not saying it's bad, but don't expect real bacon and cheddar cheese on your fries.”

“The best place in State College. This is the perfect little used bookstore slash coffee shop, with all the character and small town feel you could ask for. They have tons of fascinating books on topics you didn't even know existed, vinyl records, and a real coffee shop full of unique decor and interesting people.”

“Best wonton soup I've ever had. Very flavorful dark broth. Egg roll was good. Garlic chicken was plentiful, colorful and very flavorful. Beef with broccoli a bit salty but very good. Vegetable egg roll was crispy and delicious. Fried rice was light and very very good. No frills dining area but I had a great meal. Their menu has the most choices I've ever seen. I will definitely be back again.”

“This was the best food I had on our trip to State college. The burger was cooked perfectly at medium rare, tacos were great, and the pizza was tasty. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. I also had a few different beers and there were so many to choose from. The staff was attentive and kept an eye on our table. Next time I'm in town, I will definitely be back!”

“Fast service and tasty food. Came for a quick bite while out and about and was not disappointed. The single pizza slices were substantially sized, and Ahmed served our food quickly. Good location for a bite while out for a night on the town.”
