Talked to one of the staff, possibly the owner. He told us he makes their own olive oil and the olives I’m pretty sure were from his tree. Everything was delicious. “A great surprise. Food was delicious, layout was surprising, and the staff were great. At the site of the old “Ship Inn”, they redesigned the inside to make it much more enjoyable on the inside. New decorations and cool tables give this spot a new life. Drinks were tasty, beer was great and the sandwiches had perfect rolls. Highly recommend this spot.”

“I feel my overall rating is 3.5. It was my birthday and we decided to do takeout and enjoy the meal at home with my family. So I can't comment on the atmosphere. The server repeated everything on the phone, esp about no shrimp and warning on cross contamination for my sister-in-law. The time for pick up was not long. My dad ran in to get it and when he asked for a senior citizen discount, they did give him some. Came home and checked out the meals. My sister-in-law ordered: Blackened Ahi Tuna and I believe she said the description said jumbo lump crab. Usually jumbo is used to describe shrimp, hence her concern there may be some in there. But she did expect there to be crab but to her disappointment, there was not any. I had the Sambuca Salmon...of coarse I forgot to take a pic of my meal 😔 and it was yummy. No bread or salad came with the meal and I don't know if that is offered when dining in the restaurant. The prices ranged from $20 to $32. We enjoyed our food but did have one disappointed customer.”

“Literally just had such a great experience here. And although my 2 year old was melting down for no reason like 2 year olds like to do, the employees were so kind and helpful, they even helped me pack up the rest of our food to go and helped me out the door. The one employee was even sweet enough to come out and distract my son for a minute while i was getting all of my stuff ready to get out the door. There is a good amount of seating and even a cute little coloring section for kiddos. The nutter butter smoothie straight up tastes like a pb&j. The caprese toast on sourdough was beautiful and delicious- so filling too. The Asian chicken salad was big but clearly my eyes were bigger than my stomach today. Can’t wait to have it for dinner. And all of this was super reasonable. They even offered to split the smoothie into two cups so my son and I could share it (they read my mind).”

“Great food with great views. We ate inside though as it was very windy. We started with zucchini fries and onion rings for apps. I must say they were both excellent and the onion rings are definitely some of the best I ever had. For main courses, I had the shrimp and grits with collard greens and my husband had the chicken and waffles. Chef Favacchia's Shrimp and Grits with Tasso ham lobster sauce and Manchego Cheese grits makes this dish simply delectable. The cheesy, smokey and creamy combinatin works so well together. Oh and did I mention it is delicious. The Belgian waffle and fried chicken were both cooked to perfection and there was not a trace of the spicy maple syrup left on my husband's plate he cleaned it 🥰 I really wanted to try the dessert ~ funnel cake fries and homemade bread pudding sounded amazing. I'm not really sure what else was on their dessert menu but we were so full from dinner I didn't do much but glance at it. I'm thinking next time instead of apps I'm saving room for the dessert. 😊🤗😊”

“Met my family here for my moms birthday last weekend. Never left a review anywhere but this is worth it. Started with the wagyu sliders (which we ordered two extra orders of) they were incredible. Enjoyed the French onion soup and the bacon wedge salad. Ended my meal with the Delmonico cooked to perfection. I highly recommend everyone who enjoys fine dining to come here. “Went yesterday and today, already can't wait to go back! I'll start by saying the service was attentive and friendly both at the bar and in the dining area, great first impression. Sat at the bar for lunch on the first Saturday of March Madness. Wood tones make for a warm bar area, and memorabilia with nods to Philly sports and music legends are a cool touch. Very solid beer selection with a variety of styles both craft and staples, strong bourbon menu and cocktail list. The cheesesteak was excellent - fresh soft seeded roll, cooper sharp and whatever else you like, I did fried onion and hot peppers - it's awesome. Also had the bee sting wings which I'd get again. Then brought my family for Sunday lunch and sat in the dining area which is separate from the bar. Big TV so you won't miss the game, too. Kid's menu offered plenty of options. Had the Italian cutlet sandwich which was really good. Excited to try one of their smash burgers next time. This place has a lot to offer. Whether hanging with a few friends for drinks, taking the family for lunch or dinner, or happy hour after work, Valley House can handle it.”

The food was exceptional. We got 2 appetizers, entree and dessert. Everything came out quickly, and was so delicious. The food was rich without being overpowering. Waitstaff was kind and the perfect combination of helpful but not hovering. The owner Richard gave us a tour of the entire place after our meal and couldn’t have been nicer. “I visited this bakery with my nephew and we both got the mango coconut drink. It was outstanding!! My nephew said it was the best drink he ever had. I also bought a bunch of baked goods and they only lasted 5 minutes after I took him back home...ha ha. I kept the lemon and chocolate desserts for myself and they were excellent. The two fellas that own the shop were very nice and knowledgeable about all the different items. I'd say they are food artists. Chillin' in the cafe sipping one of their drinks is very relaxing too. “The buttery is an absolute staple in our household. If we’re ever craving baked goods we end up here. In fact, post moving to the USA, I’d say the buttery is our most visited food location. To say we like the buttery would be an understatement. We’ve been regulars here (we know them but they don’t know us) since 2019. The buttery took us through the pandemic, providing a fix for our sweet tooth cravings and post the pandemic we find ourselves regularly there on weekends. Go to the buttery you won’t be disappointed. Everything looks incredible and it’s all on glorious display. Pick up an almond croissant, a slice of quiche and a coffee. Life rarely gets as good.”
