The food is far from Gourmet but it's super cheap and it hits the spot when you need to soak up some alcohol. It's far enough outside of town that it's not overrun with college students. “The new Sheetz of Buckhorn opened here during the last week of May 2023. Easily accessible off of Interstate 80 via State Route 42, this location has high flow diesel, enough parking for about a dozen 18 wheelers, flex fuel and no ethanol gasoline! There is also a drive through for food, and a small seating area inside. There is no carwash and there are also no self scan checkouts. Overall it is a great location and a needed upgrade for convenience stores off of Exit 232.”

“We decided to check out this new Thai place that opened over the winter holidays 2023, and we're super glad we did! The food and service were excellent! For an appetizer, we had the pork buns, which were delicious, and then for our entrees we had Thai green curry spaghetti with shrimp (amazing) and crab fried rice (awesome). The dishes were very aesthetically pleasing as well, as can be seen in the pictures; I very much enjoyed the presentation. We ordered both dishes spicy, as we enjoy the heat, and they were actually spot on! Beware ordering spicy unless you're experienced, lest it prove too much for you. I had a Thai Iced tea to drink, wonderful and sweet with cream, and it helps to mitigate the spice somewhat. There are many more dishes on the menu that I must try, and the service was very good, so I will definitely be returning here.”

“Gave Rod’s a couple of months to shake out the kinks that come along with opening a restaurant before we tried it. When we went the first time, it was good. I had the AYCE fish, and was pleased that it wasn’t too greasy or soggy, as it can be sometimes. The fries were ok, nothing spectacular. Our waitress was nice and attentive. The second time we came, we weren’t impressed. Our waitress was super sweet; however, she attempted to memorize a simple order, yet 2/3 things came out wrong. She rectified the issue. The soda was flat, got a water instead. I got a Reuben sandwich, which are usually loaded with ingredients, but this is probably my least favorite one I’ve had. There was hardly any sauerkraut on it, and it tasted like a basic deli sandwich (for $12!). Once again, the fries were just fine. I think it’s expensive for what you get, and the quality of what you get. We haven’t totally ruled it out of places to go out to eat, but it will be a long time until we return.”

“It's rare as a Jamaican you find food that reminds you of home. Even being from New York I haven't tasted Jamaican cuisine like this. The red stripe beer fried chicken is something to really really phone home about. My husband and I each got a different plate. I was given a choice in oxtails either jerk or Curry. I went with jerk oxtails paired with rice and peas with veg. My husband ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas with veg as well. I also ordered a side of Mac and cheese and 2 sides of festival. While waiting for our food the owner informed us that samples were free. So I opted for the Curry oxtail sample and baby let me tell you right now. Them Curry oxtails were so tender and it wasn't a baby sample either we had a nice juicy big sample. He also surprised us with a sample of the red stripe beer chicken. That instantly had us ordering a large order of it lol.”

“Chicken was ok. It could have been better. It was a nice size portion for the price I guess. Definitely got more chicken than KFC or Popeyes. The coating just didn't stay on it well and it was falling apart which made it difficult to eat while traveling. However, it was real chicken and less breading like the other two I mentioned.”
