“This is a quaint little location with a lot to offer. I would probably love the place if they didn't charge 6 dollars for a normal, regular average, nothing-added bowl of grits. Seems rather greedy to our family. We get better food value at the other area breakfast restaurants we have tried. Otherwise, not a bad experience.”

“We came here as part of a food tour. The cake was unbelievable! We plan to come back! The case of desserts was incredible! The carrot cake and red velvet cake looked unbelievable! There is a bar or table top seating. Big doors that open to let the sun and sounds of the city in! Delightful!”

“Wow. My group of 13 were vacationing from FL and didn’t know much about where to eat in Charleston. I found Cru Cafe quickly on Google and we headed that way. Parking was a little tight and the restaurant was busy. I was concerned the wait may be too long and my friends wouldn’t want to wait. The host/manager (super nice guy with a gnarly mustache) greeted me and told me he had a room upstairs that could accommodate my large party. He said “just give me like 5-10 minutes to get the room set up.” What luck! The waitress was polite and worked her tail off bringing our food and drinks up and down the stairs.. Food was spectacular! I had the goat cheese appetizer and the tagliatelle shrimp pasta. Everyone else said their meals were amazing. After we paid and had left the restaurant, super gnarly mustache guy came outside to ask how our meal was and thanked us for coming. My wife and I are considering coming back to Charleston for our anniversary and Cru will be a lunch spot for sure..”

“Always a fantastic experience at this neighborhood butcher shop! Knowledgeable and friendly staff to showcase their exceptional quality products. I always grab their famous Wagyu Beef Panini and whatever weekly special sandwich they whip up. Oh and on Saturday afternoons, if they haven't already run out of their made-to-order burgers on the Big Green Egg, you can bet that's part of my rotation too. Thanks for all your hard work and delicious meals!!!”

“So happy to find this delicious vegan cafe during my recent trip to Charleston. I went once for lunch, once for breakfast, and also stopped by on the way to the airport to get something healthy to eat during my trip. Everything was delicious and the light and airy interior encourages you to relax and enjoy!”

“We had an awesome experience eating here. The food was good but the service really set it apart. Tessa was a wonderful waitress and went above and beyond to make our experience great. If more servers were like her, I would never had a complaint at a restaurant. We will definitely be back.”

“The hostess, kitchen, and service staff were all friendly. Curtis was our server and he was knowledgeable and professional. The atmosphere was a great mix of retro dinner and contemporary decor. The menu was impressive. Shared the homemade chips with friends. They are cut like ruffles and had an excellent crunch. We didn't get one soggy weird chip among the plate, which is not usually the case with chips made in house. The star of the meal was the chicken and waffles. I gotta tell you two things about fried chicken and my perspective - I don't usually order or prefer bone in chicken and I strongly prefer spicy. This chicken was bone in and not spicy, but it was the most delicious crispy crunchy fried chicken I've ever had. Those waffles with the strawberry butter were just immaculate. Fluffy waffle pillows on which rest a scoop of the enticing pink strawberry butter. This was absolutely amazing, two of the 3 of us had ordered it, and both of us felt the same way. If you're thinking about eating here, do it. I will be back and it will be soon, because if the shrimp and grits are as good as the chicken and waffles...”

“First time customer - Duck Donuts staff was welcoming and I did not hesitate to get their flavor recommendations! Appreciate their picture menu, and even if you order the specials, your donuts are all customizable. WONDERFUL THAT THEY ASK YOU TO LOOK AT YOUR DONUTS BEFORE THEY CLOSE THE BOX. Bought half a dozen as a gift for a friend in town. Came back an hour later to get more to take on the road. True local superstar, can’t wait for Duck Donuts in NYC!”

“Sorry, I ate next door at the Noodle House, not at HBH. Get it right Google, if you're gonna track where I go and what I do, at least don't make assumptions that I'm eating at that generic joint next door. But the Noodle House was on point, as always!”

“Coffee cold. Forgot the strawberry freeze I ordered. No hot water for tea. Had to dip ice out of a bin because the drink dispenser's icemaker was out of order. Cashier had to get us butter for the bread from behind the order counter. Seems like every employee, including the manager, was more interested in closing up than waiting on the paying customers. We got to the restaurant at 8 PM and they close at 9 PM.”

“Great one stop shop for food coffee and drinks. Nice place to study and work. Food is a little pricy for portions but the environment is very agreeable. There is larger seating for groups and out of the way corners for personal study and work. Would recommend if looking for a place to camp out and be productive, definitely bring headphones as it can get loud.”

“Goat, sheep, cow north is a great place for lunch. The food is consistent and delicious. I’ve never had a poor service experience until today. Not sure if it’s a training issue or shorthanded. In any case, even the food couldn’t make up for the poor service today.”

“I thought I had visited my favorite coffee shop for the last time 20 years ago, then I stepped into Sojourn. Joey and Heather are phenomenal and treat you like family from the moment you walk through the door. I have held numerous meetings, scheduled events and just spent some spare relaxation time with them. In all cases they were a joy share time and stories with and truly aim to make your experience the very best possible. If you haven't checked out this Charleston gem, then you need to correct that soon.”

“I really like this McDonald's in West Ashley as it is reliable and consistent to get you some good food when you need it the most. The service is fast and efficient for a McDonald's and the line can move fast even when they are very busy. Everyone that works here is very friendly and always seems to have a smile on there face when you see them working and hustling. I have always liked this McDonald's and seem to be in the need for some good burgers and fries when I am close to here and the allure and smell gets me to come inside and I always leave happy and satisfied.”

“Is it just me or are the prices constantly increasing? And they've added tipping for staff? If I find my own table, refill my drink, and bus the table, that again I found, I'm tipping myself. Food's decent, but for the price you might as well hit a full service spot.”

“I remember coming through here and saying to myself wow this is the best McDonald's drive through I've ever been through. Food appearance wise I thought they just took pictures of the food with how it looked like, like it was the meal from the commercials. Lol That just told me they pay attention to details and care about quality. Customer service was top par also. Will be back if in the area.”
