“Pretty tasty pizza. However, the bread course really didn’t work. If you’re going to drizzle it in oil to the point of it dripping visibly, why drive the price point up by serving a literally palm-sized mountain of butter? $9 is a lot for 2 slices of admittedly good bread. Take a couple bucks off, forget the giant butter ramekin, and put the oil on the side to dip. I’m far from a chef but it seemed to be an afterthought of a dish, and would probably make the restaurant a lot more money if they could knock a couple bucks off the price point for them and the diner. I have a feeling that doesn’t often get ordered a second time. Otherwise, the server was absolutely not excited about their wine, and after prying for her to give us any informative guidance on their selections, I was pointed towards a cocktail when asking about “Stuff on the funkier end or unfiltered.” Tasty pizza and fumbled appetizers will not keep this place full if the front of house gives off a vibe that they don’t care about the wine and don’t care if you buy it. We enjoyed our glasses, but this is natural wine, come on. You have got to give people good advice on what to drink and you have got to get excited about your own namesake, or I do worry about what will happen once the hype wanes.”

“OMG! The food is crazy good! I had the "Eye Opener Burger" Wife had the Cod Po Boy and daughter had the Shrimp Wrap. All cooked perfectly with excellent size portions! Everything I want when I eat out, excellent food, decent portions for a reasonable price! Another plus that will make me come back is the Cold draft beer and cold bottled beer! I can't wait to experience the rest of menu!”

“What a wonderful experience! I am a vegetarian and my husband is not. They had the perfect selections for the both of us without being overwhelmed by the menu! The service was excellent. The bread service was a unique feature! We will definitely be back and are excited to have tried this new gem.”

“Delicious quality menu items with a fresh twist. I had the egg sandwich - fried egg, bacon, avocado, spicy mayo, delicious soft bun. I wanted one of everything on the menu. Definitely will return. Great customer service!”

“The best ribs I have ever tasted in my life. Absolutely delicious. It was one of those rare meals that I've had that make me grateful that we are even able to be treated with such amazing flavor in meat. This is the type of spot that would make me feel like I'm cheating if I ate ribs anywhere else. I absolutely recommend this place to anybody.”

“First time going here with great expectations as Holy City Brewing is my favorite brewery in Charleston! I got a sandwich; it was the Italian which was tasty but hardly filling. The beer was a Springbok Brown which was good, just not my favorite coffee inspired beer. Service was great by the tallest bartender, whose name I cannot remember, I apologize but he was great.”

“First time trying and I'll say it's good for what it was. I ordered tempura shrimp and grilled chicken tacos. They were $3.95 each....now I will admit that the portions are extremely small for the price. But overall, the atmosphere and experience was pretty decent. Service was good as well! Our waitress was Grace and she was awesome.”

“Food was great. Went twice so far and had the fried Turkey wings, could've had more seasoning but it wasn't bad at all and the collards OMG the best I've had at any restaurant. Second time was the shrimp Alfredo, the sauce is pretty heavy but at least it's not dry! Pricing a little steep but the plates are pretty big. Tasha and Evan gave good service also. Small but comfortable dining area.”

“Well I just gave them a try not just once but three times since my last review and every single time the food was great...truth be told I have family members from Beaufort SC that come just for the lemon pepper chicken..... just yesterday they ordered 50. Pieces just to take back to Beaufort...so I'm back for life... LoL..if those great dumplings don't kill me first....”

“Lunch was so good I couldn't believe it! It looks like a dump from outside but who cares? The food was over the top good and portion size immense. Service was spot on too”

“Absolutely love the brisket. I got the chopped brisket sandwich and it was really good. It was $10.50. A few choices include chopped or sliced brisket, Turkey, pork, and homemade sausage. They also sell their meat by weight. The macaroni and cheese was yummy. Lunch time was super busy but you get your food right when you order. The meat cutter cuts the meat in front of you. Staff is very friendly. Outside seating is also available as they have quite a few picnic tables. They serve alcohol at their bar inside.”

“Nice, open spot with delicious southern BBQ. I ordered the sliced brisket sandwich with collard greens. 5/5 for both. The brisket was tender and flavorful and the collards were super tasty. Hint of sweet. Girlfriend got the pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese. Pulled pork was a 4/5 for me, but I'm also not a pork guy to begin with. Mac and cheese was good, but I only had a bite so I can't rate it. Great beer selection (around 20 on tap and twice that packaged) with a good house golden ale. Sauces were good... Particular favorites were the hot red and pepper vinegar. Service was quick and friendly. Zero complaints from me. Definitely recommend this place if you're in Charleston and want some good BBQ.”

“What a great little spot! I loved the fried chicken and BBQ ribs. My son didn’t really enjoy the Mac and cheese, not kraft, and when we were leaving, Ruth noticed and was so concerned that he didn’t enjoy his food she brought him some banana pudding. Real southern hospitality! She said, I gotta have him leave happy.”

“Great experience ... Split hanger steak with date. Service wasn't up to par with food, young server was really present and wine was late but management took care of me app on house half off wine without me asking for either. Food was excellent and actually not expensive for the quality of the prep. Sat at chef counter, would recommend that over bar for date.”

“Butcher & Bee is a known local favorite. It's decorated in a very minimalist fashion but still comfortable. Though I wouldn't consider the dress code to be formal during all hours, I would recommend khakis at minimum for the men and dress pants or skirt/dress for the women. The music is a bit loud for my taste and makes conversation difficult at times. The food is plated beautifully and thoughtfully prepared. However, as a vegetarian I found the options limited. The appetizer I ordered was a butternut squash with a cream sauce and was delicious. The main course however, contained several smaller dishes that I felt were awkwardly paired and didn't create a cohesive meal. On the other hand my friend who I was dining with loved her dish. When ordering a cocktail you may want to be specific if you're looking for a mild mix. The drinks are delicious but not made for the light weight in the group.”

“When we pulled into the parking lot we were a little skeptical, it was empty and they had only a couple tables seated inside. But we were very impressed with the place. We had an amazing experience, the food is absolutely fabulous. We got a Turkey burger, which was the most amazing Turkey burger I've ever had, tasted almost like a Turkey meatloaf. My husband got their pastrami sandwich which he talked about for the rest of the night. That's how impressed he was. We also got their poutine, which I wasn't really impressed with, but everyone else at our table loved it. Also do yourself a favour a get their green goddess dressing on everything. Get it on the side and dip your fries in it, I promise it will be the best dressing you'll ever taste. Our waitress was so very amazing, I'm sorry I can't remember her name, but the service was outstanding. They are running a special on Monday, $5 burgers and $2 beer all day long, reservations recommended. Also if you come on Tuesday and tell then you live in the neighborhood you get 20% off your check.”

“Container Bar is a cool place to hang out and have drinks. Like the location that is tucked away, but still convenient to get to and has parking. They have a nice open indoor and outdoor space with plenty of room to lounge and move around. Friendly staff that makes sure that everyone is happy and taken care of. Plenty of fun and good times available at Container Bar.”

“Goat, sheep, cow north is a great place for lunch. The food is consistent and delicious. I’ve never had a poor service experience until today. Not sure if it’s a training issue or shorthanded. In any case, even the food couldn’t make up for the poor service today.”

“I always try to get to this place whenever I'm in Charleston. The menu is awesome. Brunch is absolutely fantastic. It's the entire lunch menu, which is incredible by itself, plus a bunch of great breakfast dishes. Can't recommend the biscuits and gravy enough. The Duck Club is one of the most excellent sandwiches I've ever had. Very cool atmosphere, cooler staff, great beer and cocktails. Absolute must visit. Pro tip: Get there early for Sunday brunch. The place was nearly full within minutes of opening.”

“Great margarita, good chips and salsa. Atmosphere and staff is great. Price is pretty good for downtown. 5 stars. Food is like a salt shaker was spilled all over everything. 1 star. I'll happily be back for happy hour drinks and chips.”

“The concept was exciting and new for Charleston, but the execution was slightly off. The atmosphere did not feel cohesive and open. Each kitchen was too separated from the other for it to feel like an "exploratory food court." The food and drinks were amazing, though a bit pricey for their portions. The outdoor area was pleasant, but the atmosphere was lacking. Overall, definitely worth checking out if you love new concepts and diverse food options.”
