“First, the outside looks unappealing. It looks like it used to be a Days Inn but got bought out. Second, the shower head was low. I'm 5'7" and I had to duck to get my shower. Third, you can hear though the walls easily. Fourth, we had planned to use the pool but it was drained. Really, at the end of June?! Also, the breakfast wasn't that great. But, our hotel room looked very nice. The beds and blankets were very comfortable. I was able to go to sleep quickly and woke up refreshed.The mini refrigerator works well in fact our drinks became slushes. The microwave in the room also works.”

“Husband and I are hooked on our whole food plant based diet so traveling is a challenge when it comes to eating out. We had a horrible experience the day before and so were delighted to find this place. The potato salad is divine. Chunky, with just the right amount of dressing and condiments--five stars. The grilled veggie wraps and the lentil burgers were also tasty and satisfying, and clean (not oily). We ate lunch there and then each took a burger, a veggie wrap, a side of potato salad and a pasta salad, to enjoy after our 5.4 mile round trip hike to Rainbow falls. The owner who served us was so nice and she did a great job packing up our lunches-to-go. And boy were we happy to have that food on hand when we got back to our car after our hike.”

“Flapjack's was not busy the morning after Memorial Day. The rustic, log cabin look inside did not offset the hard benches and uncomfortable wood trim on the top of the benches. First, the waitress was great. The food was not so great. Pancakes were not warm - not quite body temperature. I ordered one of the skillet meals. It wasn't prepared in the skillet - it was simply placed in a cold skillet which absorbed the heat of the food instead of keeping it warm. My wife requested her eggs well done with no runny egg whites. They came with runny egg whites. The coffee was good and the left a small carafe of hot coffee - very nice. We had to ask for splenda, more napkins, and twice for sugar-free syrup.”

“We arrived a little after 6:00 and had no problem getting a table for 2. Trudy was an awesome server! I ordered the grilled chicken with steamed broccoli and my husband ordered the blackened trout. Both meals were delicious! The chicken had a wonderful flavor and was not dry. The homemade hush puppies and chips were great to munch on. It was our anniversary so the waitress gave us free slices of pie. The key lime pie was so good with a homemade crust. We will return when we visit again!”

“The last time I was here was when it was under previous ownership 2 years ago. I swore I'd never go back however now that is under you understand it I decided to give it a try while my wife and granddaughter we're out doing errands. What the difference! Huge portions but most importantly a much better atmosphere and the food was outstanding. The sauce was perfect and although I typically skip garlic knots I could have ate these until I exploded. “I love this place!!! Anything you order is amazing food, drinks, etc. The decor and atmosphere is great, you can't go wrong. Not over priced or even close especially for a tourist town. The best part about it my entire family loves, is the fact that the owner will come right out and no not just ask how your meal is. He will sit with you for a moment ask how EVERYTHING is, if your enjoying yourself and if not what can he do to make it better. This man walks up to complete strangers and truly makes you feel like family, like your someone he has known forever. THAT is what makes this place so wonderful the whole staff truly care about your experience you can tell the owner is a lead by example kind of guy. Yes they are fast paced and busy but everyone takes the time to stop just even five seconds and it's like they are checking in with friends or family, but the owner and staff are truly remarkable that's why this place is number 1 hands down. Share a tip.After spending the summer in Fance, without my husband, and enjoying all the amazing food and atmosphere I thought I would have to pay for another ticket to France for my husband to be able to have a French dining experience. Wrong! We decided go the the restaurant for dinner (we were staying in a hotel room and didn't have a kitchen). It was an older place on the outside but the stone floors and fireside seating blew me away. Dinner took several hours and every course was fabulous. I highly reccomend this place to anyone who wants an unique dining experience.”
