“Mae Dunne has to be the best brunch establishment in San Antonio! Pro tip: try to make reservation 24 hours in advance on weekends. Even without, they’ve usually been able to accommodate our groups within 30 minutes or less. The interior dining and private party room are warm and earthy, with rustic, vintage inspired design. We love dining al fresco on the patio with an Aperol Spritz or latte, under striped parasols, giving a breezy, Mediterranean aesthetic. The overall impression is a cozy, well-curated space that blends historical elements with modern furnishings and decor. The food is outstanding, with a variety of fresh, delicious options to choose from, with a wide spectrum of sweet and savory. Specialty cocktails are expertly crafted, and meticulously prepared with high-quality ingredients and careful attention to detail, that perfectly complement the brunch menu. While everything is amazing , we rave about the crab cake eggs Benedict, short ribs (the entree, tacos, or on eggs Benedict), chilaquiles, Turkish eggs toast, French toast, and tres leches. Drinks are paired well with specialty coffees, teas, and juices, fresh and made to order. For a boozy brunch, the classic carajillo, espresso martini, and Miggy French are spectacular; elevated and refreshing. This spot is the ultimate destination for homemade brunch delights in town. We keep coming back for the unparalleled friendly service, and delicious food made with care; it stands out as the best brunch spot around. It's a true gem where guests can savor homemade dishes that exude warmth and comfort, making every visit a memorable experience for brunch lovers. Thank you Mae Dunne, we look forward to seeing you again soon!”

“I really enjoy this chicken express employees are very friendly. The manager Caroline is very nice. When we come back food is always fresh and hot chicken is nice and crispy and still juicing. French fries made fresh to order. Coleslaw is delicious and cold. Tea is always very good here. I recently Tried to hush puppies and those are very good. I definitely recommend if you have not tried them to try them.”

“Stopped by for their opening weekend. It was busy, but line was moving quickly and orders ready within a few minutes. They were well-prepared for the busy day. Staff was friendly and everyone was working hard together. If you've ever been to Andy's, it's always a consistent experience from the custard to the service. I wanted to order my favorite three-crete, but it wasn't on the menu and it was time to try something else. Ordered the James Brown Funky Jackhammer and a Build Your Own. Both were very creamy mixed with generous mix-ins. This location has a nice play area of turf grass with a few yard games such as cornhole. There's plenty of bench seats in the same area to sit and enjoy your custard.”

“UPDATE: got some coffee here after getting breakfast tacos next door and I got it black because I can’t really have dairy. I have NEVER enjoyed a cup of black coffee like I did this one. It was so smooth and tasty, just black! So you’ve got to try them with the flavors I’m sure they’re very good! Aguas frescas were tasty Raspas too Food could use some refining … rice was half mushy half uncooked … charro beans were good but tasted like lots of canned tomato and chilies … tostadas were ok but they could have used fresher avocados fresh onions (they were translucent) maybe some more dressings on top like lettuce tomato and personal preference I think tostadas taste best with a bit of refried beans as a base. If you come here stick to the drinks they’re quite good”

“Used the app in the drive-thru which simplified everything. Took no time at all for the order. Only knocking a star on service because I ordered three cookies and only got two. But the meal was as expected and served nicely hot.”

“It was 4/4/24 (World Burrito Day) - we drove from Houston to Boerne that morning to visit with family. We hadn't eaten all day so were hangry. I expected a long line but it wasn't bad at all. I hadn't been at a Freebirds in a long time but used to go quite often back in the day, so was looking forward to it. If you've never been, It's similar to Chipotle. My hubby & I each ordered the World Burrito Day special - $6 Burrito, bowl, or salad. When I got to the front of the line, I asked if the limited time brisket was included in the $6 special & they confirmed, so I ordered it. SOME items cost $2 EXTRA so if you want to know what costs extra you MUST ASK otherwise they won't tell you nor is there any signage on the actual food area that indicates the extra costs. This feels pretty sneaky (underhanded upselling without the customer even knowing until they pay at the end of the line for it) so NOT at all A FAN OF THAT!! E.g. my bowl maker recommended the cauliflower rice, which ended up $2 extra - something they never mentioned 🤨. The only one I caught was the guacamole/avocado because many places charge extra so I asked & they confirmed so I skipped. At the end of the line / at the cashier - I found out due to the underhanded upselling, we were hit with a number of small extras $ which we could've instead bought a 3rd $6 Burrito, bowl, or salad 🫤. Overall the food is hearty & good, counter service is quick.”

“The food is good. Unique, for sure. The only thing would be great if the staff would be able to interact with us. The food is unique, and not one person asked if we needed help with the menu. You would want to help your customers with the menu... but the food was made quickly. At least we tried it!”

“Amazing! Me and my family came here to eat for lunch - we are from a south border town in Texas and this was definitely a slice of home. Very authentic, we had almost the full menu excerpt the burrito and everything was delicious! Friendly and inviting as well! New favorite spot, and WILL come back 👏👏👏”

“We were here last night and it was one of the best restaurant experiences I ever had. Our meal was delicious, and drinks were great. The staff is incredibly nice as well. Chef Matt actually sat us and made sure we were very comfortable, and continued to check on us - as we were leaving he gave us an entire loaf of bread that they make in house and I truly loved the gesture. Can’t wait to come back!!”

“Wonderful upscale restaurant with excellent food & service. Loved their lobster and shrimp enchiladas and shrimp tacos. We join friends here after church. We will definitely be back. They have been open since September 2023 so give them a try. Highly recommend this restaurant to join friends or group in a beautiful location that’s convenient to the highway.”

“I read on the reviews that someone commented this is the best burger they've ever had....I must agree 💯! I ordered the Hawaiian burger which came with teriyaki sauce and a grilled pineapple slice. Amazing! My husband ordered the honey bbq burger and he really enjoyed it as well. He especially loved the bun. Very fresh with a hint of sweetness.”

“My husband and I love our local smoothie and juice bar! I love their green juices to get more vegetables in and protein smoothies when I’m finished with a workout. It is family owned and operated which makes it that much better to support and they are always so kind to me and remember my husband and i’s name when we go in the store!! You must try out this place, and take your kids too they will love the smoothies and get the added nutrition!”
