“We went on a Friday night. I order a Lumberjack Slam. Everything was fine. A great deal of food for an acceptable price. One of the other folks in the party ordered one of the other slams and was satisfied as well. However, the member of our party that ordered off the dinner menu had to send her steak back twice because it was nearly raw instead of medium rare.”

“Good comfort food! Atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Food was good and plenty of the various dishes. Very well priced as well. We had appetizers, two entrees with extra sides and ice tea for about $35. Wait staff nice and place very easy to find. They were busy and there was about a 20 minute wait.”

“The chopped brisket was good. It had a decent smoky flavor. One thing I’d suggest changing is to lighten way up on the seasoning in the beans. They were way too salty and with all the other seasonings added, it ruined them. We ordered a bunch extra with our to-go order. Ended up having to throw them away. We had high hopes of enjoying our meals here, but it just didn’t meet our expectations. We’re disappointed.”

“Don Julio's, being a new restaurant, surpassed all of my expectations. My family and I have been there twice and we keep telling everyone we talk to about eating out to at least try it. We already have so many Mexican food places in Ennis that it is nice to have one set apart from the rest. They raised the bar for the other local Mexican food establishments and I think it will be hard to surpass. Maybe some will, competition is always a good thing, and Don Julio's is the front runner in my opinion.”

“Place needs some serious repairs and updating. I get the fact that some people like the original “retro” look of the location. But, considering half of the order screens don’t work and the location is obviously not suitable for today’s larger trucks and SUVs, it loses it’s charm very fast. “My husband and I went to Waxahachie with our friends and came across this pub. We all absolutely loved this place. The vibe is very chill, it's a place where you can drink and play a game, we played Yahtzee, or you could just drink and Chill. Also in the back patio area they have the sweetest cats! We loved getting to pet and spend time with the the cats! This place is just great in general. I highly recommend!”

“The food is stellar at Cork & Keg, and the owner is a lovely man. We had the specialty of shrimp and grits. It is a gourmet treat with butter and bacon. The avocado toast is my go to favorite with tasty bits of crumbled cheese, tomatoes, onions and sprouts. The flat bread is also very well made. The mustard potatoe salad is the best outside of my grandmother's that I've ever had. Wish this place was open on Sunday. Highly recommend them just be sure and check when their open.”

“Fantastic BBQ! Recently I had a big family gathering, and had the Vault deliver the food. EVERYONE loved the BBQ! The meats were tender (we ordered brisket, chopped brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs and chicken.). My husband commented about how good the chicken was—the fact it was tender and moist when delivered, and tender and moist the second day. We had all the sides—mustard potato salad, coleslaw, beans, Mac & cheese, and green beans. Although all the sides were good, the homemade potato salad was outstanding and the mac & cheese disappeared first. When delivered, the hot foods were hot, and the cold foods were cold. They also included a loaf of bread, pickles and onions. Very prompt and delivered with a smile! We also tried the smoked salsa—loved it! Will definitely be back for more BBQ! And I will highly recommend their foods for any kind of gathering!”

Just happened to look on Google Maps to see if there was something different and we found this tiny Italian cafe. The food was very good. “The Ambiance was typical for a somewhat upscale young professional eatery Location is right on the courthouse Plaza. Parking was tight but not impossible. All the dishes were tasty and well-presented. For a retired couple, the prices were a little higher than I usually pay, and it took a few more minutes to get the food then we expected. “Cindy and the entire Doves made our wedding day amazing. I planned the wedding from out of state and Cindy guided me to success. From the moment I walked into the Doves Nest to the end of the night I was amazed by the attention to detail given to every aspect of the wedding from the table set up, food, professional staff, all the way to the flowers and decorations. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. We had the beef tenderloin, with mashed potatoes, and asparagus. The meat was tender, the sides perfectly seasoned, and the food came out hot. Our experience could not have been better! We highly recommend The Doves Nest for an exception meal, catering, or event.”
