“BEST BRISKET EVER! I'm a native Texan BBQ fanatic and have eaten at most of the Texas Monthly top 50 BBQ restaurants and "Leon's Cut" Brisket, which is prime grade, was the most tender and tasty I've ever had. So tender you could eat it with a spoon and perfectly smoked with awesome flavor, just don't ruin it with sauce.”

“Nice place to eat after a trip to Galveston Island State Park! Our group, including several children, were able to get meals that pleased everyone for a low price. The only thing we might have changed is to have the bathroom better maintained; understandably this might be challenging given the location along the seawall, since there are few public restroom facilities near the beach. We enjoyed being able to park facing the beach while we ate our meals, watching people play on the beach and in the water.”

“Really good food and great friendly service. Hard to find during the busy season in Galveston. We stopped by Taco Cabana for my daughter before we came here and I’m pretty sure the people at Taco Cabana smoke crack before work. Taco cabana sucks! And Pit Stop are the Champions!!! Great BBQ too!!!”

“This is a fantastic bar, with a spectacular view, & a friendly staff. I've never been disappointed by anything at this wonderful new establishment. Between the great music, & the comfortable (& not overly abundant) array of customers, I know where I'm going, any time I desire an evening out. Even the food is delicious. The best bar on the island!”

“We went on Wednesday night! It was buffet night. The restaurant was very busy. We were greeted by the friendly hostess and she had us a table in no time. Our server was Dana. She was fast friendly and attentive. We never had to ask for a refill or ask to have plates removed. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I was impressed with the buffet. They had the traditional salad bar and all kinds of salads. They had pizza and pastas on the buffet which any one would anticipate. I was impressed by the fried catfish, baked chicken, stuffed tilapia, and roast beef. I didn't expect that. Then they had all kinds of dessert. I would highly recommend Mario's. The patrons were friendly and helpful. Very much a local place that treat their customers right. Want you to come back.”

“Loved this place! Usually when we are in Galveston we have our go to spots. Our breakfast favorite is usually Millers, but it was overly crowded with a 1 1/2 hour wait, so we decided to try something new. Now mind you we have a family of 5 with very different tastes, so it is hard to find a spot to make everyone happy, then along comes this place. What an incredible spot! theres plenty of parking if you read the signs, its in the rear and the atmosphere is so good. From the moment you walk in everyone greets you. It is so friendly and welcoming. Our server was Sarah, she was so good. She recommended some incredible options and all of my family was blown away by the great taste, amount, and presentation of our meals. Never once did I worry about refills, she was on it! I got the shrimp Poorboy blackened, now mind you, prior to this review I would have said gumbo diner had the best Poorboy, but no, they had this guy fresh and loaded. I loved the garlic bread and the choice of breaded, grilled or blackened. The prices are great given how fresh everything is and now I know the next time we visit the island this is the first place we will eat at.”

“I came here with my family on vacation for spring break and it was a great place to dine out! The best part was watching the chef prepare our food, he was talkative and entertaining. The food was delicious and the service was good. I really liked the lobster.”

“This is my first time going to Whataburger. The burger size compares to a Burger King sandwich, however the taste is (in my opinion) much more enjoyable. Their fries are really good, similar or same cut size as McDonald's fries. I recommend the spicy ketchup, it's not too hot but has really good flavor. If i have an opportunity to come back I'll venture to try another burger meal or even one of their salads, which looked very delicious. But this time i wanted the grease!”

“Do not let the outside (or the inside) of this place fool you. It looks like it is in an old Taco Bell. HOWEVER, this is some seriously good Italian food. The pizza and the pasta are both fantastic. My husband is not a fan of Italian food and he even suggested we go back! And the wait staff is friendly and efficient. It will be one of our first stops when we get back to Galveston again next year!”

“People here seem nice but super slow and I was the only one there at the time (11am). Bathrooms were really not clean for it being the beginning of lunch. Parking and drive though here can be difficult if you have a large truck as well. Their spicy nuggets how ever are pretty good and i would get them again.”

“This place is amazing! Fresh and hot seafood that can't be beat. Prices are the best around town. They make it right when you order so its sizzling! The seasoning is perfect. Customer service is top notch. Its located inside a gas station so you can grab a cold drink and have it right there. There are some tables set up. We drive over 1.5 hours just to have seafood here. The place is squeaky clean.”

“I find this establishment amazing. The inside is quaint and has a mellow feel. The staff are super kind and helpful. The food is unbelievably delicious. The sauce I had was rich and thick, yet smooth like silk. The bread was warm and crispy on the edges. The asparagus I had was soft and crispy, cooked to perfection. If you have not been here, your missing out. This is a fantastic place.”
