“Mildly irritated by having to tip for service before any service was rendered. Options when ordering are 18%, 20%, or 22% (what I consider a "good tip" rate), and then all they do is bring the food to your table and never check back. That's basically "to go" service (10%). Raise your prices to include what you expect to make in tips, and then stop accepting tips. It'd be more honest. Note: The staff was great and I'm not complaining about any of them; I'm just objecting to the procedure.”

“Always a great spot to grab a bite! They have all kinds of sandwich options. I personally prefer a thinner style of bagel, but any of the sandwiches can be made on a wrap and they're always delicious and filling. It can get really busy but they're always staffed up with friendly, hard workers and the line moves quickly! Great local coffee too 🙂”

“Ever since the online ordering they have always gotten the order right and on time. I go about once a week as a treat to myself or if I am on my way out of Burlington. I recommend taking a look at the system and ordering since it it easy, has plenty of options (what does a triple toast look like?), and easy to do from a phone, but I tend to just do it on my laptop. Nice little spot since the cheapest gas in town is across the street and I get a slushy with my bagel... Can't recommend enough and go Everything (toasted) with the Maple Walnut cream cheese!!! M”

“Traveling to Vermont for the weekend and came here for breakfast two of the three mornings. First day I had the 802 specialty sandwich. And the second day I had the BBB breakfast sandwich. “I placed an order through UberEats, and UberEats really failed with their communication. The order was never picked up, and when I eventually called the restaurant they were also wondering what happened. The food had been prepared quickly and was just sitting there waiting. When I ultimately went to pick it up myself the restaurant owner was incredibly kind and very excited as they had just opened. The food was delicious and I’m happy to have this new spot nearby. I look forward to ordering from them (directly) again.”

Clean, neat, with a friendly and helpful staff. Nice outside picnic area as well as a killer view. I ordered onion rings(yummy)and a Fried Chicken Sandwich with slaw that was Off the Chart! This sandwich was massive and I didn't think I was going to be able to eat it all but once I put their Zesty Sauce on it, there was no putting it down. “Went there with my wife to try some whiskeys we hadn't had. It was surprisingly loud in there. Very busy. We were expecting a quiet place. Not really an issue though. We had 2 neat pours of whiskey each, no food. The bill was $130. Our server was obviously new, and was perhaps a bit overwhelmed, but very nice. I would like to try again when it's not crazy so I can get a better feel for the environment.”

“This place is one of the most magical food experiences I’ve ever had. I was in Burlington three summers ago and stumbled upon this wonderful place and had a delicious meal here. I went back to my home state of Ohio, I moved to California for two years, and I still thought of and fondly remembered Zabby and Elf’s Stone Soup, even though I had been there only once. Luckily, my partner and I took a trip to Vermont this week and we ate here twice in that time. The ambiance, the staff, the food, the decor. Everything just makes you feel cozy and happy. The food is so comforting and you can just tell that so much love has gone into this business. I am very sad to be leaving Vermont in general, but extra sad to leave this gem of a place behind once again. I will always come back here when I am visiting!”

The rice is perfectly cooked, and the fish matches that same standard. However, I would not only recommend this spot for its food, but also for the quality of service.
