“We stopped in on a Sunday for something new and easy to grab - this spot did not disappoint. My husband was just saying how he wished there was a smoothie shop in town that was open often and we are happy to finally have the option! Lexington benefits from new small businesses like this one. Our little girls had strawberry banana smoothies and my husband and I had the Wildcat açaí bowl which was delicious. The owners were very sweet, welcoming, and friendly and we wish them the best of luck here in town. We will definitely be back.”

Sheridan Livery Inn is located in the middle of this, which gave us ideal opportunity for a short walk along the beautiful historic streets, full of little shops and eateries. “I very much enjoyed the atmosphere, seems to be a fairly new or at least well kept establishment. Small and homey, fits the town of Lexington very well. Great food and excellent service, I found a few dishes you dont see in most Thai restaurants. Done very well. I did find it odd to have such an overwhelming presence of security cameras. As if they have had a need for them, actually makes me feel a little less secure.”

“We had a stay at the Georges last weekend for a wedding in town. We had a bridal luncheon at Haywoods and a rehearsal dinner at their new meeting room. We also stayed with them over the weekend. Everything was excellent. Top quality and a terrific location and venue. They are a bit pricey but you definitely get what you are paying for. Highly recommend!”

“We ate Easter Sunday brunch here and it was spot on. Prices were reasonable, service was very good and polite. I had the steak and eggs, it was great. I would strongly recommend the Maple Bourbon Old Fashioned. It was extraordinary. Our dinner was superb. I loved the blue cheese butter on my steak and the truffle mash was outstanding. We found the piano music to be delightful and added to our experience. I highly recommend dining here.”

“Best in Town! I have been to the Red Hen about 5 times now over the past two years and I have never been disappointed. A true farm-to-table restaurant, the menu changes constantly as they serve only the freshest ingredients available. I recommend this place to everyone who asks, but make a reservation! The room is small and fills up quickly, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. For what I (and most of the internet) consider the best restaurant in town, it is not formal. There will be people dressed up for anniversary dinners, but there also may be people in shorts. Also I don't think it is expensive at all! Especially if you are used to larger cities. My entree was $22 last time and my husbands was $25. And for the quality it was WELL worth it. The service is excellent, that makes or breaks a place for me and the waiters there are really friendly without being annoyingly chatty. There are many great restaurants in this college town, but make sure you make it to the Red Hen.”

“We were driving through Lexington on our way home and spotted this place to eat. We were seated quickly and our waitress was also quick with getting our orders. I ordered an Italian Cream Soda (strawberry), which cost $4 and the meatloaf meal, which was $10. Everything was delicious and the portion size was perfect in my opinion. Highly recommend giving this place a try.”
