In the past few months have had Hot & Sour with White Fish, Salmon Chowder, Potato Leek, Crab and Corn Chowder, Gumbo, Vegan Creamy Tomato, Vegan Pumpkin Tortilla, Chicken Noodle (Asian), Beef Veg., Lamb and Chick Pea, Lamb and Couscous, Peach Gazpacho, Chicken & Biscuit, Turkey & Rice, Mushroom & Wild Rice, Butternut Squash, Split Pea with Ham, and more, including one with shrimp and vegetables in a thin tomato broth that I loved and cannot recall the name of. Only a couple of misses since I've been going (none that are mentioned above)--really not worth mentioning. The menu states (or used to, haven't looked recently) that you have a choice of rosemary biscuit or toast with the soup. And you do, but the default is the little rosemary biscuit which is just enough for three of four bites and I usually crumble it into the soup. And while the variety of soup (over time) is impressive, it's only worth noting because everything is prepared so perfectly. Not a hint of anything commercial or packaged. One of the best places in Norfolk.”

“My family absolutely loves the food and atmosphere of Yorgo's and it's now become one of our favorite places to eat. The bagels never disappoint, and the coffee is some of the best I've ever had and ALWAYS hot. Usually if you go somewhere more than once, you notice small things that can mar the perfect image, but I have yet to find that. I've been a lot of places with good food and have even worked at a small name bagel shop before, but Yorgo's takes the cake. We're planning on using them to cater a family event, and if it's as wonderful as our visits have been, I might just ask them to cater my life.”

“Being a ODU student, I have been here a good number of times and each time the service has been good. Granted, they do have days where the service can be as slow as molasses, but they are generally good at making your food in a timely manner and it is generally really good. One time I ordered a sandwich and the lady working there accidentally got it wrong. I said it was fine and I could have the one she made. She said that she would make the one I originally ordered and so I got two sandwiches; one of them being free! So if you're in the area and are hungry, give this place a visit!”
