“We had a party of 12. 6 adults and 6 kids. Meagan was our server. She was AMAZING!!! We loved the atmosphere, food and especially the service so much we came back all three nights we were in town. I definitely recommend Cape Charles Brewing Company!! We will come back just for this restaurant. Thanks Meagan!”

“What a treat! Deadrise Pies is a great addition to the Cape Charles scene. The food was good and so was the service. The menu isn't extensive but what is offered is sure to please every pallet. A nice selection of beer and other libations round things out for a great dining experience.”

“Such a great, cozy, welcoming spot and atmosphere. The staff are super friendly. I love the earthy warm vibe. My 9 year old enjoyed coming and selecting some books. The only thing that would make it better is if they had powdered chai (IMO personal preference). ❤️”

“Super friendly staff! Our waitress was very attentive and the portion sizes were excellent. The food was tasty and fresh. They had scrapple! Don't see that too often around anymore. The establishment was very clean and service was fast. Try Tim's Place and you won't be disappointed.”

“I was gladly surprised with well prepared food that exceeded my expectations. My family and I are quite picky when it comes to food. The service was excellent and very friendly. The fresh made focaccia, the delicious sandwiches and main dishes were quite delight. Perfectly executed and presented. I’m looking forward to my next visit.”

“We visited Cape Charles on vacation with our dog, Maggie. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the patio, where dogs are permitted. The waitress was perfect, warm, attentive, accurate with our order. Best BELT! Bacon, two perfect over easy eggs, spring lettuce, tomato, on very good toasted bread. Husband enjoyed a big, malty waffle and sausage that he thought was spectacular. Reasonable prices, very busy on an early May Tuesday morning. Clearly, a loved place. They serve breakfast and lunch. Kitchen closes at 2:30 daily, but you can have desserts, coffee drinks, tea, until they close. Housed in a beautiful historic bank building, the interior has great character and charm.”

“Out of everywhere that I've lived (the South, NYC, New England), Hook U Up remains one of my all-time favorite restaurants. Tim and his crew just do amazing things with food. I've had some of my all-time favorite meals here... incredible seafood, lamb and duck... we'll, anything I've ever ordered actually. Amazing deserts too.... now in the new harbor location (walking distance from the prior location). Be prepared to lick your plate!!! P.S. Make a reservation because they often book full. On a good note, there's now good bar space at the new location.”

“I had the crab cake sandwich. It was good. The fries were great. I'm picky about my crab cakes, but the one I had held up to its competition fairly well. People were sat relatively quickly, without any overly long wait times. The atmosphere was nice, and the staff was friendly.”

“Wonderful accommodating staff! Katie was our waitress and was absolutely awesome. Also, great food, must have good cooks in the kitchen. I did notice some customers being rude to the staff for NO REASON, which was upsetting knowing how hard the staff was working to accommodate a full house. I 10/10 recommend the Northampton Hotel!”

“We stopped here for lunch. The raw oysters were amazing. Recommend the calamari and crab dip appetizers. The lobster roll was delicious and all lobster. My daughter loved the lobster mac snd cheese. Quality good, good service, and beautiful view.”

“Sunset view from our waterfront table. Food was delicious with a great variety and specials to choose from. The view was spectacular. We went on Trivia night, so there was even entertainment - they had upstairs seating in you didn't want to participate. Loved it and YUM!”

“Seemed like a pretty busy place when we went in. We ordered a pizza and a sub. The food came pretty fast and the pizza was super good. The service was also great. My kid had a veggie sub. I cannot in good faith say anything good about that but she loved it.”

“The Local is one of my favorite places to eat on the Eastern Shore of Virginia – maybe my most favorite! It’s low-key and wonderful. Atmosphere is very casual, but the food is some of the best I’ve ever eaten, not just locally but also having lived in major cities and travelled globally. Jason, the chef and owner, understands food and flavors in ways that too many restaurateurs don’t anymore. He doesn’t accept changes or substitutions, and there is no salt or pepper on the table. You don’t need it. He seasons the food perfectly. And I mean that he actually seasons it; he doesn’t just add a bunch of salt and call it a day. He has a garden and fresh herbs in the back, snipping and grabbing as-needed. I highly recommend the pork fried rice, pork hash, French toast, or lox for breakfast. The duck fried rice and meatloaf are both excellent for dinner. The green salad is a refreshing accompaniment to any or all of the above. I’m sure everything else is also delicious, but these are what I’ve directly eaten here, and can vouch for first-hand. They also have a well-curated wine and beer list, and sell some specialty food items (some of which Chef Jason makes himself – get you some shallot marmalade!) Don’t miss out on this hidden gem, slightly off the beaten path and well-worth the trip.”

“The food is good but they raised the prices quite a bit from last year and for some reason there's a whole new staff too. We loved when they remodeled it last year but were dissapointed that Tim left, we dealt with it because the new staff was very personable and friendly and the food was reasonably priced. We also went to Tim's new place in Cape Charles but still enjoyed Littleneck's food and friendly staff. This year, with the higher prices we couldn't justify eating here on a regular basis like years past. Last year we ate there at least once a day for our 9 night stay, this year we ate there only once over the same period of time.”

“From a by-gone era, simpler times have not dearly departed; frequented by those-in-the-know, friends and local patronage. Wide variety of menu options, Thursday night wing special, worth the wait and the drive. Friday night had delicious trout with fried oysters and two sides. Two vodka martinis made for a nice break.”

“A great lunch stop! There's a great menu of sandwich wraps, Paninis, and regular. Service was prompt and courteous. A very busy place in a small commercial lot. I had a BLT or spinach substitute which was wonderful. The coleslaw was a vinegar base with a great amount of taste from the large number of vegetables.”

“So I was on my way back from North Carolina and wanted to grab a quick carry out as I passed through the Virginia Eastern Shore. I called them at 8:59 p.m. and they told me that they were closing. I said oh well I'll catch you next time. I got a call back a couple minutes later from a lady who asked me how far away I was. I told her I was 15 minutes away and she said she would wait. Sure enough when I got there all the lights were out and she was waiting for me in front of the front door with my food. What a wonderful rare experience in most businesses today. I highly highly recommend this restaurant. Not only because of this service but also because their food is absolutely amazing. If you haven't tried their she crab soup it is the best I've ever eaten. Linda and Doug...you're absolutely the best”

“Definitely a gem right off the beaten path! Stopped here for a quick breakfast on our travels back home from being on vacation. Food is so fresh and delicious and the environment had that homey feeling. Staff was super sweet and very attentive. On the smaller side but quick turnover! Will definitely be going back on our way back through next year!!”

“I've never been to a McDonald's that was in this condition. No hairnets and flies EVERYWHERE. We may of showed up at the wrong time and I try to give good reviews when possible. But the flies combine with the amount of stuff on the floor had my family and I quickly reevaluating our ability of making a sound decision. Sandwich joint down the road.”

“Before we even walked in flies were hovering all over the door. We walked in and were greeted by a bunch of flies. They were EVERYWHERE. The bathroom was so filthy my mother didn’t even sit on the toilet seat. There was also pee on the toilet seats. We ordered food and it was good but flies were flying all over the place EVERYWHERE. The drink machine didn’t look clean. The tables where people eat were filthy too. Come on now.... they can do better. The chicken was good at least but this place is FILTHY.”
