“First time going and my husband and I went with the kids. It was an excellent experience! Service was great, but they did run out of rice, so we got our food and had to wait for rice. The manager came out and offered another side while we waited for the rice, so that was great. I ordered fajitas so I had no rights to eat with them and my husband eats his tacos with rice on it so our food was cold by the time we got our rice. The manager ended up paying for his tacos because he wasn't eating them without the right so the manager took the tacos off our ticket. I got a blood orange margarita and it was so delicious! Casa Del Barco what's a great first experience we will be returning!!”

“I cannot say enough great things about this place, I was skeptical because I thought it would be another regular sub shop but I like to try new things. This location is super busy all the time and I can see why its downtown in the business district but also because the food is very fresh, the smoothie was small as I didn’t realize that is what a short smoothie is but also very fresh and all natural. The service was quick uniformed and the line gets super long so there’s even a server who goes through the line and takes your order. It was kind of pricey to me but it was definitely worth it. I ordered the turkey and cheese toasted and the hand spun strawberry smoothie.”

“I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Excellent customer service!! I arrived when the restaurant had just opened and the ox tails were still cooking and I was at the hotel down the street. They offered to call me when it was ready so I didn’t have to wait too long and when I received my food, it was EXCELLENT!! Perfectly flavored and excellent portions. It wasn’t overly seasoned. The plantain were tasty and everything was fresh. The restaurant is super clean and conveniently located!! I will be back!”

“What a fantastic place! This is the kind of coffee shop atmosphere I wish I had near me in Hanover. There is plenty of seating and space available, which is a huge bonus in my book. I always feel like shops like this have such minimal seating and this is definitely not the case here. The breakfast I had was so delicious and very reasonably priced. I am not a coffee drinker, but they had a delightful selection of loose leaf teas that I rather enjoyed. I was there on a Saturday morning and got to experience the live music. I am typically not a huge fan of live music in the dining setting (since it can be loud and overpowering), but I really enjoyed the music while I was there. We sat very close to the stage and it was really pleasant to have the music in the background. I highly recommend giving this place a try and I will certainly be going back myself!”

“Was visiting with a friend in the city for the day. Plenty of space on a busy Saturday for a party of 5. The sandwiches were great, although the service might have been a tad slow but it was fine. Bathrooms were very clean as well. Nice interior design too. I would recommend. The BBQ chips are very good :)”

“Loved the monster roll and spicy salmon roll I had at this small sushi shop. Our server was the only one for the whole restaurant but we still had great service and she recommended a nice sake to go with my sushi. Would come here again for sure and get the sushi donut or poke next time. reservations definitely required since the place is so small”

“My friend and I found this place after grieving down to soul taco. The smell drew us to the place and we ditched our craving for Mexican for a nice home cooked style meal. The food was delicious. And the chocolate chip cookies are to die for. I didn’t even know the workers but you could tell that inside the restaurant they were a family and that shows in the food”

“Sooo good. Black-owned business with amazing soul food-inspired flavors like the catfish taco, shrimp taco and oxtail taco, just to name a few. And they serve great beers and sangria too. Played great music on speakers and its nicely decorated. New stop to add to your list. I'll be back. Plus, they were featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives!”

“Their collard greens are AMAZING! I didnt know about this food truck till I drove by last night around 8pm. I always love seeing food trucks so I always take advantage of it when I see one because they never disappoint. Their fish was delicious but a bit too salty and crunchy but that's just me. Definitely going back for those collard greens though! And they were generous with the portion and gave me an extra collard greens!”

“We came here for brunch on Sunday. I only wish it opened at 11 instead of 11:30. Good thing we got here a couple minutes before it opened because we did not have reservations. The restaurant went from being empty to almost full very quickly! Our server was informative and did a great job. Their brunch menu had some good choices. A welcome surprise was complimentary chunks of soft bread with fruit in it, one for each of us that came out before our meal. For brunch, we went with the quiche and the stuffed apple French toast. Portions were much bigger than expected! Very generous. The quiche was divine— so soft and it practically melted in your mouth. It came with some salad greens. Stuffed French toast was like a sandwich, and it also came with bacon and tiny square-shaped cut apples around it. Dessert was the chocolate tarte which was a square shaped chocolate mouse with raspberry sauce around it and a scoop of cream with a raspberry on top. It’s one of my favorite brunch places thus far.”

“I loved loved loved my visit. Found this place using Yelp. I’ve been craving a seafood boil since my weekend visit in Baltimore and left without getting one. Today, I was determined to get one. Upon arrival, they offered parking. YES, they have their own parking lot off Cary St so no need to parallel park your vehicle. The inside was set up really nice. They were playing my type of music too so staying was no problem. They actually serve you so no need to wait at the register unless you’re doing take out. I ordered the Bucket #2. Soooo much food, it could definitely be shared between 2 people. The shrimp were my favorite.. They were huge. The mussels were like any other mussels, if the juices in bag weren’t so greasy, the flavoring would have been a lot better. The snow crab legs seemed really small, you know like the ones they have one sale at Kroger for $6.99 in the summer. The meat was hard to get out the shell. I absolutely enjoyed the corn on the cob and red potatoes that came in it. If the juices in the book weren’t so greasy, I would have given them 5 stars. You also get a free bottled drink with any bag or book purchase. A fountain drink is $3.50. The boil bag cake with a crab soup. Not a fan but maybe someone else with like it. We also ordered the 2pcs Fried Fish lunch special. The fries were really good. The fish on the other hand, I wasn’t a fan of the way they battered it. It was like they were going for the Long John Silver’s beer battered but it just wasn’t crispy at all. They should use flour instead for the whiting. Also, use a little bit a seasoning or seasoned flour. Also, maybe offering sliced bread with the fish. So overall, I will be returning to try the fried wings combo.”

“This was excellent. About 2 blocks from the VMFA this is a neighborhood place with well-prepared home style food at very good prices. Drinks are mostly $10 and under and better than or on par with places charging $15 for a drink. Overall, when in Richmond, we will always stop here. Good vibe. Great service and great food.”

“The hot and sour soup was my starting dish it was tasty and spicy unlike some other lesser places. Then came the sweet and sour pork which was crisp on the outside and tender in the middle. The red sauce was perfect. The egg roll had a crispy out side but the middle of the wrapper was nice and soft with excellent filling. I would recommend this place to anybody.”

“Wawa is a convenience store and gas station off I95. Known for its sandwiches and its range of conveniences, the store is ideal for motorists and passengers from the nearby Greyhound bus terminal who need a one-step shop for anything from coffee, hot dogs to gas and diesel. Wawa is clean and well managed.”
