“I love the family atmosphere of this store. I have came here since I was a little girl, my mother worked here, when she was younger. We live in the city now, but sometimes I wish stores in the city was like this one but they are few and far between. 10 stars 💚💙💚”

“My recent lunch excursion to Carytown Indian Cuisine with my family was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. We started our meal with some cocktails, each expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. As we perused the menu, we decided to indulge in a variety of appetizers and entrees to sample the breadth of flavors offered. The Lamb Chaat appetizer was a standout, with tender lamb perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. The Gobi appetizer was a delightful surprise, with each bite melting in our mouths and leaving us craving more. For our main course, the Dal Makhani was an absolute hit, with its rich, creamy texture and perfectly balanced spices. It was the epitome of comfort food done right. Additionally, the Mango Kulfi dessert transported us to culinary paradise, with its creamy texture and exotic flavors leaving a lasting impression. However, not every dish was a hit. The Chocolate Lava Cake fell short of expectations, with a disappointing floury texture that failed to deliver on its promise of decadence. Despite this minor hiccup, our overall experience at Carytown Indian Cuisine was nothing short of fantastic. From the delectable appetizers to the sumptuous entrees and delightful cocktails, every aspect of our meal was a testament to the culinary expertise and dedication of the chefs. In conclusion, if you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience that celebrates the vibrant flavors of Indian cuisine, look no further than Carytown Indian Cuisine. Whether you're dining with family, friends, or that special someone, you're sure to leave satisfied and eager to return for more.”

“They recently opened up here in Stafford within the past month and I went one day for lunch, but they weren’t open as they were working on their fryers… disappointing that I drove all the way there to find them closed, but it gave me a chance to try the new Jersey Mike’s near there (which was excellent, BTW). So, I went back for dinner on a Sunday night, getting there around 6:30PM and they were moderately busy. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. There were a lot of staff working, but I’m not sure what was going on, as they boxes of food that needed to be filled were just constantly backing up. I watched people walk in and then leave and I saw others complain about waiting a very long time. I waited about 30 minutes myself, which is very unreasonable. I do understand they’re new and still working out the kinks though, so hopefully this improves. As for the food… It’s definitely packaged nicely… looks and smells appetizing. The hot chicken sandwich was decent, but had more heat than flavor. I’ve tried nearly all Nashville Hot Chicken joints in Nashville, including the one that started the movement, Prince’s. And I’ve tried many in the Northern VA area as well and not only have they all offered decent, scalable heat, but they also offer interesting, often times unique flavors. That wasn’t the case with my sandwich here, it was hot, but thin and not very flavorful. The buttery bun was more flavorful, and was very good actually. The pickles and slaw were fresh and good as well. Mac & Cheese was really good, probably one of the better macs I’ve had locally. The fries were very tasty while fresh, but as they cooled off, they became wimpy and not so flavorful. I do like the spicey salt they toss them in, and they toss them as soon as they come out of the fryer, which is a great way to get the seasoning to stick. Overall, it was a mediocre visit. Maybe I’ll try them again in 6 months or so, once they have time to work out the kinks and settle into their routine.”

“This was my first trying out this food spot. All I can say this knock out any other Jamaican spot that i have tried. I ordered jerk chicken with rice and peas and plantains. The chicken was perfectly cooked, moist and fall-off-the-bone tender with just the right amount of spice from the savory jerk seasoning. The rice and peas provided a cool contrast to the heat. Service from the owner was friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable given the quality and portion sizes. We left satisfied and full. Onion & Peppers is a true gem. Highly recommended!”

“In terms of value for price, this place stands out as the top choice for Hyderabadi cuisine in Northern VA. The standout dish is their fry piece chicken biryani, though I recommend requesting extra rice to balance the chicken-to-rice ratio. I rank Mutton ghee roast higher on their list of appetizers. Overall I will be going back many times as long as they keep the quality and price consistent.”

“All the meats are soooo good, definitely worth your while. The best BBQ I've ever had in my life, and the beans OMG the amount of flavor just slaps your taste buds!”

“I ordered a breakfast plate of biscuits & gravy to dine in at their counter, which is well appointed with placemats, salt & pepper grinders, and bottles of malt vinegar. The gravy came out just lukewarm, but they heated it back up for me and it was nice and hot at that point, and generously populated with plenty of crumbled sausage. The black pepper brought out the gravy to my tastes. The biscuits were decent too. I would definitely come back to this “to go” place that’s tucked away behind a small industrial building on the west side of Sterling.”
