“Great family fun! Clean environment and the staff are super friendly. FYI: The fried pickles are AMAZING!! I am a southern girl and have not been able to find fried pickles like they do down south until now.”

“Absolutely amazing. Best food in Coupeville. Generous portions at reasonable prices. The staff was lovely and Chef visited our table! Flank steak over wasabi mashed potatoes is tdf. Love the mango cheesecake. So happy to see the space happily renovated and open after the building fire last year. The changes are really nice.”

“What a fabulous experience! On a Saturday afternoon the view from the outdoor patio is serene and interesting; it's a great place to people-watch and view the natural beauty of the PNW. Beth is knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. We ordered two of the sandwiches, some antipasto and a bottle of wine. (I loved when my friend said, "Do you have any green wine?" "Yes, we do!" "Is it chilled?" "Sure is!" - Beth = rock star!) The sandwiches (my friend and I exchanged halves) were delicious and well-balanced in the flavors and textures. The store has a great selection of sweet and savory food, different entertaining items and a fabulous selection of wines. My only regret is that I hadn't come to this store sooner! We'll definitely be back! 😃”

“Wow! This food was out of this world! We really didn't know what to expect and it seems like a dingy gas station when you first pull up, but the food was innovative and delicious!! We got a veggie burger, fries, garlic tots, and Momo's and everything was to die for. And the owner was so nice and friendly! You can really tell he's put his heart and soul into this place. We will be back for sure!”

“Although there was a bit of a wait for our food tonight we patiently waited for this NEW and upcoming business to fulfill our order. Upon getting our food we were first greeted by the delicious smell of southern fried chicken that made me pine for my days living in Georgia, hot lazy summers and gentler times. Our food was hot and crispy despite the time waiting and boy was it tasty! We got the crack sauce and it was so good I would put that on anything! Subtly spicy, creamy and made with love. The Mac and cheese was gooey deliciousness and I want the recipe! Fries were fluffy inside crunchy outside as they should be. It was a hit for my family and my husband was really excited to finally have some good southern food on the island. We are confident things will get better as this business has been open for less than a month and can only grow from here. We definitely will become regulars! Thank you Hale’s kitchen for bringing good Southern food and nostalgia to the island, I missed it.”

“Always have received great food from here. Love that they offer both GF crust options and Dairy Free cheese. Only place I know that does that around here. Also it’s awesome that I can easily customize my pizza order online and pick it up in 15 minutes.”

“This place is worth stopping by if you're near and in the mood for coffee. It's not mind-blowing, but the coffee is solid and there were some tasty breakfast pastries (not a ton of variety though). There is more savory breakfast sandwich options. I would like to try them if I'm ever back.”

“Savory (a restaurant) is a great spot in Langley. We felt right at home in the squashy dinner chairs. The view from every seat in the house is breathtaking. The cheese plate featured the best products I have tasted anywhere. My salmon dish with wild rice...OUT OF THIS WORLD! The owners were great to chat with and I love their story. Such a great place and dinner. Thank you for a wonderful experience.”

“A unique brew pub experience. The staff is friendly and ready with recommendations. I enjoyed being able to taste a couple beers before choosing one. Everyone was sitting outside and though it was wet and rainy, the heater stands made it a nice outdoor drinking environment. And a very attractive setting as well with the expansive lawn on the hillside below the brewery.”

“We tried the new Penn Cove Brewery food truck run by The Braeburn. I had the fried chicken wrap with apple bacon potato salad. The fried chicken had the perfect crunch on the outside with tender, juicy chicken inside. The apple bacon potato salad was delicious! We will most definitely go back again and again! Better chicken than the Payless Deli and a new favorite over Bubbas (now that they're under new management).”

“So fabulous!!! I am a chef and restaurant owner in the area. I am all about flavor forward restaurants with bold flavors and quality ingredients. This place hit a home run! I came in and ordered Togo since we wanted to enjoy for dinner but they are not open at dinner hours. Because of the meticulous care taken in packing and quality of take out containers , reheating was flawless. Not to mention it comes with instructions. What a giant leap in the culinary world for Freeland! Thrilled to have this in our community 💞!”

“Quaint unique little place to stay on the island. The location is convenient as home base to stay on the island for a couple days. Definitely enjoyed our time there. The service was very friendly and welcoming and the room was clean. Definitely a little dated but I knew that going in and I looked at it as being part of a rustic type of experience. Don't expect a Hyatt type of level of modern design and amenities, that's not what the experience is for. It's a nice warm little family owned hotel with its own charm in a convenient area of the island. Overall very pleased with the experience.”

“This Starbucks is not a vacant field as the only picture on Google Maps currently shows. Starbucks should get on here and post some representative pictures. It is an open store site with as of 5 October 2020 sit down service. I have one very major complaint and that is the placement and size of the menu text - it is too small to read. This is not unknown to the management for when I mentioned this to a worker there was a common acknowledgment. In counter with the previous review I found no deficiencies with mask wearing.”

“Wonderful experience visiting Langley Kitchen! Service is warm and attentive, and the food is even better! Everything house made makes for a delicious lunch during your visit to Langley. We tried the clam chowder, Vermonster sandwich, and the broccoli and curry chicken salads. Highly recommend any of them. Yum.”

“Old Dominion playing softly over the outdoor speakers, hospitable dining area, and smell of brisket and ribs in the air. PETOSA ROASTA BBQ is the best kept secret of Freeland Wa. If you are coming up from the Clinton ferry, or just visiting Whidbey Is. You NEED to stop by. I ordered the brisket sandwich, it came with a large handful of coleslaw. Like most bbq joints in WA, the price is $$ out of $$$; however, unlike most WA bbq joints they have amazing food! The gal behind the register was kind and welcoming. The roast master checked on me while eating to ask me how I liked the brisket, not fearing any criticism. Well undoubtedly not to his surprise, I had NO criticism for his meal. The brisket came on a brioche bun, toasted with a hint of butter. The meat was juicy, but it did not soak the bun. And assortment of well seasoned bbq sauces to choose from. And you guys, I never eat the free coleslaw. Often times, most joints offer you a tasteless, runny mush. This slaw was seasoned to perfection, it had the right texture and amount of dressing. I usually leave most WA BBQ joints thinking, "I spent way to much money for that sorry excuse for bbq." I am excited to say I left Petosa Roasta BBQ with a big smile, and a full belly. Eager to tell my friends and family about this fantastic trailer located in Freeland WA, serving some of the best BBQ on Whidbey Island!”
