“Had the fortune of trying out the lunch specials at Fern Thai (really can’t go wrong for the assortment included). I love Thai food and was extremely happy with everything I had. So delicious and authentically Thai! I felt like a lot of care and thought was put into the food and presentation. The atmosphere at lunch time was also a joy. The sun shining through the windows complimented the bright, chic, and cozy setting. It was a nice change from the usual dark and sultry atmosphere of most Thai restaurants. The kids were also well accommodated with their own little dining sets. There is outdoor picnic bench seating, but also another dining area inside with a chic outdoor feel. I was hoping to dine there, but was told they only open it up depending on the time of day or how full the restaurant is. Regardless, Fern Thai is sure to impress! Highly recommend!”

“Food is always great. Compliments to the chef. First impression, they need a new hood or better ventilation system. Smell is overpowering; you'll go home smelling like you work in the kitchen. Service is good when you get it. Always have to wave down the waitress. We've had the same person each time and she's great. They just seem understaffed on busy days. Again, the food is delicious and the ambiance (smell aside) is nice, which is hard to find in Bellevue.”

“You’re looking for amazing breakfast. Congratulations - this is the place. You can stop searching. The wife and I have been coming here every other Saturday or Sunday for the past 4 years. First the cons - the prices are high (not a con if you consider portions are massive), it’s always busy on Saturdays and Sunday’s, and it takes a while for them to get your order even when the line is short. They literally rate limit the orders - meaning they’ll keep you waiting to order until they’re ready, even after the person in front of you had ordered and paid. Be ready to stand for at least 10-15 minutes in line, sometimes longer. With that said, their assortment of omelettes, french toast, oatmeal, and bagels is amazing. It’s not pools of grease in any of the food. The roasted potatoes are amazing. They’ve nailed breakfast items - even the coffee here is some of the best coffee in the area. Honestly, it’s hard for me to find a comparable place in other cities I frequently visit (Nashville where I grew up, Chicago, NYC - anywhere in Queens, Brooklyn, or Manhattan).”

“Decided to try this place out after seeing it a few weeks ago, and it was great! They offer a somewhat limited food menu, but we found plenty of items that we enjoyed. Pork belly appetizer was tasty, and steak and sides were delicious! The wine flights were a nice way to be able to try some of the different wines, most of which were pretty good. Service was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back!”

“Wonderfully authentic Chinese food. Much higher quality than we expected for a main-strip Chinese restaurant. In our experience, the best Chinese restaurants are family run, generational restaurants though Peony rivals these in authenticity. We went during their Chinese New Years celebration menu and got the black and gold juicy dumplings, the 5 flavor pan fried buns, and the chow fun. All were tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.”

“I have never in my life enjoyed salads as much as I have here. The next comparable best salad is the Pablo Picasso salad at oregano’s. But those aren’t available in the state of Washington or to my knowledge anywhere other than Arizona. The downtown locations cut your salad up greatly, they also make the salad up as well. I think the mixing is a great service that they provide. It’s probably under appreciated, because many many places don’t do it. For example, I always wish they would mix your food at chipotle.”

“A fun place to get delicious drinks and food. The space has a industrial /modern aesthetic with huge windows to view the street. Wonderful ambiance. The food menu is eclectic but approachable. The bathrooms are clean with a institutional vibe. We sat at the bar and had amazing cocktails. We had the chicken and waffles and a Cuban sandwich with salad, both delicious. The staff is friendly and engaging. FYI They have an automatic 20% gratuity which I expect when in a larger party, but there was only 2 of us. Not a deal breaker, but surprising.”

“Had lunch with my boss here and enjoyed it! I got a beef and broccoli bowl and the portion was a good size and arrived quickly. The beef was tender and delicious, the veggies were fresh and the flavor was perfectly seasoned. I can't have dairy so this seemed like a safe choice. The ambience is nice, quiet enough to have a conversation. The wine and cocktail lists are extensive but this time I had hot tea. Service was excellent and parking is validated. A favorite lunch spot! When I could have dairy, the baked brie appetizer was an incredible discovery!”

“Had a reservation, but still waited 25 minutes to be seated with a half full restaurant. Service was fairly poor and I'll sum it up with saying my water glass was never refilled in the hour we were there. Atmosphere is a plus and the menu was good, lots of choices. The late seating at Sugar Factory made us late to a follow on activity which was disappointing. I want to come back, but not sure I will. Also, when a guest asks if you have a kids menu, say more than "we recommend the appetizer menu".”

“Stopped here to order a dinner to go before heading to Kidsquest Museum. Ordered a beef bowlgogi with egg and ate it two hours later. It was cold by then but still yummy. The dish was big enough to share between two adults so it is very reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and the dining area spotless. It's only open on weekdays and closes early at 3pm. Because its across from the Bellevue Transit Center, bus access is easy and convenient. It's now my go to for lunch (and take away dinner) in the Bellevue area.”

“A friend and I went. He had been there before I hadn't. The food was very very good. The server and wait staff were all really nice and friendly. I had steak and it was cooked just right. The sides we shared were good. The place was very clean and our server was great, offering fresh ground pepper on everything. And when we ordered dessert she scrapped the table off with a metal thing. I thought it was cool, but I also don't eat out much. Let alone to places of that quality. Our water glasses were topped off often. And never allowed to empty. When I was walking out the staff thanked me and said to have a good night. The bathroom was very clean and well stocked. All in all great place. With amazing staff.”

“We went in the evening and had a great time. My son and I shared a huge bowl of Pho and had some spring rolls. We both walked out stuffed. Everything was delicious and the service matched the food. Price was great too. The closest thing I can think to a negative was that the bathroom soap was out. They filled it with a smile, so nope - can't say a bad thing about our experience.”
