“Probably the best french bakery and cafe that I tried in Seattle. All of the different items that I have tried have are amazingly well done. The space it super bright and clean. “Good coffee. That's the key to a good coffee house. Above all else, that's the anchor.The Den delivers. I can actually only speak to the cappuccino, but it was really good. The ambience is a bit lacking, but part of this, I believe, is due to the fact that they need to be able to convert the space to a live music venue. Still, I had a good spot in front of a gas fireplace that kept me toasty but not too warm. I had to wait a bit to get an order in and to get my drink, but it was an off peak time (typically less staff), and I think they just got a sudden rush of customers. Staff was friendly. I'll be back.”

“It was a dream come true to sit in the same place as the cast of Twin Peaks from so many year ago. The food was excellent and enormous portion sizes for that you order. If you are a fan of food and the show, it's a short drive from Seattle to get this this cozy town. They really play on the shows fame and make constant references to the show in the menu and in the restaurant itself. I hope it continues to do well as it's a good establishment. I know if I ever get to be back on this side of the country, I will make a stop here again.”

“I love eating local, and I am so picky about my ingredients. You can always count on the very finest quality ingredients at Zylberschtein's. I have never had anything but the best here -- and it's quality you can taste right off the bat. Their prices are reasonable and fair -- especially considering the quality. The owner is fantastic and truly cares about your experience, the community, and his product. Their chef is amazing! Today I had the veggie has, two eggs, and toast -- for $13! What a bargain, and how delicious it was. Then for a treat, I had the twice baked coconut croissant. Oh, boy! Heaven!! On the weekends (and during the weekdays) I am super busy and don't have time to sit down at a nice restaurant and wait, etc., but I like quality food. This is the place to go if you need good food, and you want it fairly quickly (but don't worry if you want to linger -- there's plenty of seating, and they never rush you out at all). You can get it to go as well, and it stays nice and hot. And everyone here is so friendly and nice! Josh's mom makes the cheesecake (which is peerless -- truly) and lots of other things, too. A true family owned deli/bakery where they'll get to know you and smile when you walk in. I love this place.”

I finally got to check this place out and was really impressed with the selection of organic and grass fed chicken, beef, lamb, etc. They said they have plans to add more items and bring back the grill, yum! They also have eggs for a great price and and raw milk if that's your thing. If you are in the Kirkland/Finn hill/ Bothell/ Kenmore check them out! They are in the blue building across the street from the guest house. The owner and staff were super nice. I look forward to coming back.”

“Food prep inside and outside via the drive through is always on point when stopping by during peak meal hours. The kiosk system inside is in a good location and easy to use. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I think they may have some issue with the outside order boxes though because I feel like everytime I have to double check my order because they've misheard me, but I haven't gotten an incorrect order yet. The inside of this location is also updated to more modern standards and I like the seating options. This location is also easy to get in and out of, even when traffic is busy.”

However, my lower rating is due to the 20% service charge they add to the bill which clearly states it isn’t part of the tip. Our dinner for 2 was $130 for food & wine and then ended up being $200 with service charge and tip. If a restaurant needs to charge more, I get it. Just add it into the menu pricing. Don’t pull this surprise service charge nonsense. Sadly, we won’t be back.”

“The Fat Hen is a cute brunch place that’s good for a casual weekend meal. It’s personally not the best brunch I’ve had but it’s definitely a great option if you’re in the area. But be warned - because the restaurant is so small, the wait can be very long (1.5 to 2 hours). I recommend you write your name down on the wait list and spend some time grabbing some coffee or a light snack at the bakery across the street to kill time! As for the food, I got one of their baked eggs as well as the salmon Benedict. I really love salmon so I thought this dish was great. The baked eggs weren’t super flavored so if you want more kick, ask for their hot sauce!”

I've always had great service and good food for a McDonald's. I don't frequent fast food places, but occasionally, you gotta do what you gotta do... Decent restroom, small, free parking lot. Couple of bus stops nearby and walking distance to grocery, coffee, urgent care, etc.”
