“Pistachio halibut was insanely good. The chicken adobo was very non traditional, but delicious. The service was amazing as well. We will be back.”

“The location is in the very convenient spot with a good large parking lot. The wait wasn't too bad either but it still was about good 25-minute wait. So the only reason I don't give it five stars is because the price is quite high for the amount of food they give you. I left paying about $40 however I've not even full. The cook was awesome showed some great moves had some funny jokes.”

“I work at the 5th Avenue Mall and every once in a while, you just crave something different than the mall food. I walk to Red Umbrella weekly during the summer. I usually get the Louisiana Hot Link with onion, cheese and boss sauce. It's amazing. Prices are awesome and I usually get the meal deal which comes with chips and drinks. Food is delicious and the owners of the cart are awesome. Can't recommend this place enough. My co-workers and I love'em.”

“This is an excellent restaurant to get some fresh seafood or steaks. It's a casual environment with elevated cuisine. If you're lucky enough to sit near the back of the dining room, you'll see the chefs in action. No surprise that the menu offers the freshest catch of the season; I had some pretty good halibut here. It's hard to pass up seafood, but their prime rib did not disappoint either. They leave more fat around the edges of their steaks than your average steakhouse would, but the crust and juiciness were beyond incredible. To round out your dining experience, they have quite a few tasty appetizers and unique cocktails. Good luck if you plan on having room for dessert. All-around, Haute Quarter Grill is an excellent place to dine in downtown Anchorage.”

“Best healthy meal / price ratio in downtown Anchorage. Food is almost always above 8 out of 10 and the prices cannot be beat within 5 miles. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the selection is varied. A favorite lunchtime joint of downtown workers.”

“Friendly staff and excellent fresh sushi. I think it's one of the best in Downtown west anchorage area. Newly remodeled and it looks more modern and clean Big flat screen TV to see basket ball and sports with beer after work. My daughter loved their food. I never seen her eat so much. I think we will be back soon.”

“Really good food in a casual environment. Our waiter James was very nice. The bus girl, not so much. Had the planked salmon with rice and veggies - my ideal perfect meal. Decent portions. Not huge but delicious. My friend had the potato salad/macncheese mash-up which was awesome. As we were leaving there was a bouncer at the door checking ids. Must be a happening bar after the dinner crowd leaves. Enjoy!”

“Killer food at high but not horrific prices with an emphasis on local grown everything they can, a fine theater, and a good array of beers and two top-tier house-made sodas make this one of the best brewpubs in the city. Be aware, the downstairs bar is open seating - be prepared to hunt for a seat. If you're willing to be patient, dining room reservations upstairs are lower stress but may take an hour or even two.”

“Best Salad in Alaska! My kids and I throughly enjoyed our lunch! My chicken Caesar salad was the best I ever had. Croutons tasted like they were made there, not just stale dumped out of bag store croutons. Urban Greens really raised the bar on my expectations of salads. I went to the Moose's tooth one day and had a salad and it was "ehh... nothing to write home about". I really appreciated the care put into making the lettuce wraps for the kids. I am a budget and health conscious mom and Jeremy understood that. He made it easy for me. I was impressed with how fresh everything was and even though it was a hip place with a lot of people grabbing lunch for work, the kids and I felt very welcome and like we were just as important as the next person. So thank you Jeremy and team for making our lunch experience so enjoyable!”

“I didn’t know what to expect when walking into this small deli.... Walking in was an experience. Beautiful classical music. Slightly busy, but still able to move around the small area. What really caught my eye was the deli meat slicer! I ordered the California Sub. Which turned out to be more of a blt but still very delicious. Eating outside was a big plus/star for me. Hope this helps! ????????”

“Had the salmon with pecan and berries salad, and that was amazing! The cod fish and chips were a bit oily, and the chips serving too large. Good service. Not too expensive (well, I'm from NYC). Two of us got a booth to ourselves for a Sunday lunch in the Alaskan August. Very convenient for people taking a cruise/tour from the Westmark hotel.”

“tried this for the first time. Had the pork burrito with roasted poblano sauce. Great smoky flavor overall. Pork pieces were sometimes greasy and sometimes crispy so a good mix with nice textures. The corn was sweet and crisp. To be honest the mix between meat and veggies was nice. My only complaint is the amount of rice. Which is normal for a burrito this big- theres always a ton of rice. Luckily it tasted good too. Get the sauce because I feel without it, it would taste a little dry. Would be nice if they kept the portion size the same while getting rid of some of the rice. The price should still make it profitable in my opinion.”

“Such a charming, warm location! Perfect place for a Christmas Eve dinner with my love! Loved the atmosphere around the restaurant, the friendly staff ready to answer all questions and accommodate all allergies (thank you so much!) ...and the warm bread and butter: the best! Great wine list, tasty entrees and delicious dessert! We had a blast.”

“Nice view, great service, marginal food. Ahi appetizer was great, halibut dinner was nicely cooked but had no flavor and an unappealing presentation. Absolutely edible, not at all interesting. I’d go back for the ambiance but I wouldn’t go expecting a notable main dish.”

“This is truly one of my all time favorite date night restaurants. This place hold such a special place in my heart. My boyfriend and I have gone here what feels like a MILLION times and every single time... we always amazed. The service is always spectacular even when it’s insanely busy. The food is always a sweet taste of Heaven, and my oh my if you love pasta their seafood fettuccine is simply delectable. ???? the atmosphere is busy however there is such a sweet ambience in here to make any date night just a little more special. If you love a little bit of mouthwatering rich spice... the shrimp and grits as well as the Jambalaya pasta is quite the delightful treat for your tastebuds!”

“This is a great place in downtown Anchorage for a delicious, hearty breakfast. It is small and homey. The two people who were working there were very efficient and FUN. Good food is cooked to order. If you're the impatient type or snooty, I would recommend you go elsewhere. If you want a place where you will feel welcome and leave well fed, then it's a good fit. We would definitely go back.”

“Always have good service and food here. The fried egg and avocado sandwich is solid. They have mimosas which renders them kings among breakfast institutions in ANC. Rumor has it that the cinnamon rolls are delicious, but one of my dogs ate it in the car after I got it to-go for an afternoon snack (the dogs fine).”

“Wonderful restaurant. This place immediately transports you to Japan. It looks closed but it isn’t! Go to the door to the left of 6th and it’s open. Every little detail is perfect. The rice is seasoned, the sauces are on point. Definitely try the gyoza. I will be coming back here.”
