“Our favorite meal here is breakfast by far. There is no need for reservations and the food is delicious. The staff in the dining room are fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. They know all about the menu, as well as great info on the canyon. The full bar has great drinks for you to enjoy while waiting for your table at dinner. There is a great wine selection and the food is thoughtfully plated and paired with delicious sides. I highly recommend reservations if you know you will be dining at El Tovar a few days or more in advance. Otherwise, you will need to get to the host stand and line up before 4pm when they take walk-in requests. Dinner seating will start around 4:30 or 5 but in order to get a walk-in table you will have to be early or suffer an hours long wait. If you are staying at the hotel, you can avoid the reservation fuss by ordering room service!”

“Definitely a fun experience to bike around the canyon. If you didn’t bring your bike with you, this is a great place to rent them! We had a rough start to our morning, and were pretty late. They were really nice and let us keep the bikes much later than our reservation time since they weren’t too busy. I will say, if you have young kids and you aren’t 100% confident in their biking skills, just get the tag-a-long bike. You are, after all, biking next to the canyon, and it just makes it a much more pleasant experience not having to worry about the kids falling or keeping up. They provide a great map and estimates of time and effort for each route, though it would have been super great to have that on their website or in the confirmation email. Overall, it was a great experience and would definitely recommend!”

“The pizza hut next to the theater was convinient. The movie "Grand canyon: The hidden secrets" wasn't great. I liked the beautiful IMAX shots of the grand canyon. I was hoping to learn more about the geological history of grand canyon. The movie doesn't talk about this.”

“Honestly, I went in not expecting much for the name and in a tourist town. I was pleasantly surprised. Chicken wings were not the best, but good, I would probably skip the sweet and got sauce and go for traditional next time. The pizza was REALLY good though and forced me to eat too much. The pepperoni was really tasty and the crust was cooked to perfection. The oil from the pepperoni that did make it's way to the pan didn't make the crust soggy or sloppy, it builds is own, which I really like. The order came out very fast for the amount of people in the restaurant. Talking to a couple seated next to us, they said the pasta was great as well.”

“The mint chocolate chip ice cream that I had was very good!! It was creamy with the right amount of mint taste to it. When using a spoon to scope out the ice cream, it comes off as if it was currently whipped up. Kind of like pulling cheese, how there are strings of ice cream as I pull away the spoon. I hope that made sense. Park in the back of the IMAX place, because this place is inside of the building towards the back entrance. I would come back to get ice cream when I visit the Grand Canyon!”

“A cozy place. We arrived when they just opened and it was empty. The service was quick and they treated us very well. There was a woman who spoke Spanish and we understood each other perfectly. We ordered a couple of pizzas and one of them without tomato due to intolerance and both were very good. Without a doubt, a good stop on the way to recharge your batteries.”

“Enjoyed the food. The server was very friendly and attentive. I was impressed with the portion sizes and amount of sides for the price. We are staying for 4 nights, and will most likely come here at least one other time. Definitely recommend, especially for families.”

“We were very pleasantly surprised by this little place. The service was excellent. The menu had options for vegetarians like us. The avocado cheese toast was yummy. We also had the southwestern salad which was delicious.”

“After a day of exploring the park, we decided we were in the mood for a steak so we decided to give this place a try. It definitely has a great southwestern decor. After a brief wait we were seated and of course both ordered steaks. Our server was good although at times seemed to disappear. Our food was brought out nice and hot and both of our steaks were cooked exactly as ordered. My mashed potato was wonderful and my g/f enjoyed her vegetables that came as her side. The server when he did drop by was friendly and the pricing wasn't too bad at all. I can see us going here again if we are in the vicinity of the park.”

“A weary travelling party of 11 rolled into Plaza Bonita and were greeted by delicious aromas and welcoming smiles of the staff. The restaurant was clean, cozy and brightly colored. Guadalupe served us and was so friendly even at the late hour we arrived. The food was great and the margaritas were very tasty. I had enchiladas rojas and, being from Texas, they were different than the Tex-Mex I am accustomed to bit not in a bad way. The flavors were different but excellent and spice was found in other parts of the meal. My wife had a burrito which was enormous and she loved it. The fajitas were reportedly phenomenal. Overall this place was great and I'd happily dine here again!”

“Very good food. Pleasant ambiance. Quick and friendly service. I was looking for something a little more upscale than just a greasy spoon and this place did not disappoint. At 1st was a little reluctant because there was no signage and it is inside the hotel but the concierge outside quickly pointed us to where to park and where the restaurant was.”

“Beautiful trading post! Lots of very fine jewelry, blankets and rugs. Too much to talk about I love their sand paintings. The dining room is exquisite with rugs and beautiful western art on all the walls. It is an amazing oasis in the middle of the desert. If you miss this you will regret it. Come in and see. Everyone is so congenial and helpful. Very quick to service our table and to help us at the register. Stop on your trip to North Rim of the Grand Canyon, you won’t regret it!”

“I COULD have given them a 5 star rating. I WANTED to give them a 5 star rating! The restaurant was fairly clean. The restrooms, not bad. No complaints about the staff, the lady who took our order seemed especially sharp. HOWEVER ... we'd gotten our order to go. We had 5 people in our group, so it was a fairly large order. Once we got back on the road, we handed out enough sandwiches to get everyone started. My husband and oldest son were going to start with a small Jr sandwich each and then split a big one. Once they'd finished their small ones, we started looking for the large one..... but it was no where to be found :( It had been forgotten to be put into our bags! If it was just a whopper, it wouldn't have been such a big deal, but it was a double bacon king, which is a nearly $10 sandwich! We were already quite a ways down the road at that point though, and it would be too much time for us to go back and rectify the situation. Missing putting a $10 sandwich in our bags is a pretty big deal. So definitely minus at least one star (tempted to take 2) for that.”

“We love coming to Dark Sky when we are in Flag! Great beer and having the pizza available too is an added benefit. Highly recommend! Updated: We revisited this summer and had another great experience! The building has expanded and changed a bit with the addition of the beer garden, so it makes the experience even better! Great selection of food now too!”

“There was a long wait to be served when coming in because of such a large rush and only 3 waiters. However after being served, staff was very attentive and friendly. Just excercise some patience. I had the New York steak. It was very good. The steak had good seasoning. The plate had a more than satisfying portion at an excellent price point. Would come back”

“One of my bucket list places to see was the grand canyon. An I was taken by the beauty of this wonder. The fact that it was snow gave it that much more. I'm so glad to experience this place. I wish I has more time to explore the entire park. But I will definitely return”

“First time skiers and we booked a private lesson with ski instructor Phil. I cannot overstate how patient, knowledgeable, and wonderful he was with our entire family. In a matter of two hours, he had taught us the basics and we already skied down the lift hills twice. We loved it so much that we booked lessons with Phil again for the following day. Come to snowball, and specifically asked for Phil!! You won’t regret it.”

“Every one of the 5 plates we got was delicious. We will be back for sure. My favorite was the spicy basil at spice level 4. It had very poignant flavors that stood out even with alot of heat. All the bamboo was prepared correctly. I didn't get and hard or stringy pieces like I do at other places. Kids loved the Pad Thai and pineapple fried rice. One order of Pad Thai is plenty for my three daughters to share.”

“I walked in with my registered service dog and immediately got attitude from some man at the bar letting me know dogs aren’t allowed I said not even service dogs? He says “well I don’t see it wearing a vest” with an attitude…. I said well I have proof it’s a service dog. First of all, service animals aren’t even required to wear any type of vest. Please educate your employees about service dog laws. Other than that, our server was nice and made up for that man at the bar’s negative attitude. Food was good. If that man hadn’t had that negative attitude and acted more professional it would have made the entire experience more enjoyable.”

“We were in town for just one night and was attracted to this place by the stellar reviews. It did NOT disappoint. Good Thai restaurants are few and far between and We’re always looking for great places. Swaddee hit the mark. We ordered Masaman Curry and Ginger Beef and both were tasty and done perfectly. The order was to go and ready really quickly. The restaurant was very busy so plan ahead. A local gem that we will visit again, next time we’re in town!”

“This place has happy hour every day at the same time 😁 even on weekends. The food is delicious from appetizers to meals. The bartenders are awesome. The drinks are pretty good and strong very well made. You actually get what you paid for. Great service, great food, great drinks and great environment. This place also supports dogs. There is an item on the menu specifically to help dogs. When purchasing that meal all the money will go directly towards that. So if you are an animal lover why not make your money worth it and have that meal. A meal that will provide two things at once, a happy tummy for you and a helping hand for dogs.”

“Great location with a nice bar top seating option outdoors. This is the second time we have eaten here, and the menu/quality has changed. Both bowls we ordered had little to no broth, which was disappointing. We also ordered the calamari salad to share, a great combination of flavors and texture, and probably the only dish we would order again from this place. The wait time was long, but they were short-staffed; upper management should improve this aspect asap. The young man that served us was doing the best he could. He was the host, busser, and server and still found the time to check on us during our meal. Again, no reason why a restaurant should put so much pressure on their employees like this on a busy Friday night.”

“The diner is located downtown Flagstaff. The waitress was fast & friendly. The reviews stated it was a less expensive place to eat however I don't agree. The price was average (we actually paid less for dinner the night before a few doors down). There's nothing fancy here but we like to support local/private owned places.”

“Best brisket I had in a very long time!! Super friendly service and everything we tried was super delicious! Came to celebrate our dog’s birthday and she got a special treat. Especially their outdoor patio is super cute and has an excellent atmosphere to enjoy a cool prickly pear Margarita and some bbq! Will come again soon!”
