“Had a nice lunch with sister and mom here a few weeks ago. I don't know Alameda well so I've been taking my mom out to lunch to different places when I come to visit her. Good service, food was tasty and nicely presented. Not bad for a franchise restaurant. Drinks were tasty too! I'll come here again.”

“Absolutely fantastic restaurant for Burmese cuisine. The food is very fresh and flavourful and the servers are friendly, attentive, and make good recommendations. The chili lamb, tea leaf salad, and Thai iced tea are especially excellent. Pretty good for mid-size (5~6) groups, even for walk-ins; the wait was minimal during the week. Overall, would highly recommend a visit!”

“Food and ambiance was great! The inside decor and color is outstanding, it gave a kind of Cuban feel. Food was plated in a very ascetically pleasing way with good flavor. Everything tasted as good as it looked. Tip: Grab a menu upon entering, you order and pay at the front. I was expecting the big chalkboard style menu in front but wasn’t there.”

“So good. We got there just before they closed for their lunch break but can't believe I haven't been here before. Their chicken karage & crab stuffed shrimp are delicious. I wish they had a roll similar to other places with crab & shrimp but I was pleased with the one I got with shrimp & salmon. Only knock was that they used smoked salmon & it kinda overpowered the roll. That said, this was really good & I can't wait to go back”

“The food is fresh and delicious, and the kitchen is clean. They make their chili sauce in-house and it is delicious. The service is friendly and is fast because it is cash only. Love this place.”

“Nice restaurant, not really expensive. Food is great. The only disadvantage is it's closed at 9pm, but they don't force you to leave. Service is really great. I ordered Mediterranean fish special. Not greasy, just right.”

“Food so good be prepared to wait. If the restaurant open up at 5pm there already a line to get in. Very reasonable prices, big portions great atmosphere. Keep up the good work ????????”

“Just finished my amazing bourbon burger and salad. This place is part of my go to places for great food, great drinks and great service! No matter day, evening or night the staff is spectacular. The wait time is almost non existent and the place is very clean. The music is always fun and at perfect level. I recommend this place to anyone for any reason, brunch, catching up, date night or casual drinks. Keep it up guys.”

“I've been dining here for years and the food and service are always top notch. Lots of incredibly flavorful dishes. This is one of the top places on my list of dining options in Alameda. It's a great spot for larger groups or small groups. I've brought several guests to try Injera and all have had pleasant experiences. This is an easy place for vegans and meat eaters to enjoy since there are variety of menu options for both. My favorite is the silssi (it's super flavorful and a little spicy) with either eggplant or tofu, although I recommend a sampler platter for those new to Injera (they have serving sizes for 1, 2, or 4 people). They make a lovely honey wine in house that I love. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount of the food offered. The staff are consistently welcoming, warm, and attentive. I recently went during a busy dinner hour with a close friend I hadn't seen in a while and we spent quite a long time catching up. We got only smiles and polite service, and we never felt rushed to wrap up our meal even when we were clearly finished eating and were just enjoying more conversation. I highly recommend Injera to anyone wanting a pleasant dining experience with flavorful, comforting food.”

“For me it was just OK. I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The chicken was cooked great I just felt it lacked flavor for me. The first bite shot hot grease all over. Fries were good and frickles, well they're hot pickles. Nothing to write home about. It was also on the pricey side. Salad, cheese burger, one order of fries and 3 drinks $74 bucks. Eh”

“The flavors was good but missing variety. Prices were great and costumer service. The family enjoyed it and loved the originality of how the options are served.”

“We happen to be in Alameda and heard about this place so we stopped. It's a little tough getting a parking space because it's close to downtown and there's no parking lot so on the street parking is your only option. The food is very good and the prices are reasonable with excellent service. The food is Vietnamese but it's not your typical pho place. It's definitely a step higher both in quality and variety.”

“This place has had the best deli style sandwiches for a long time and still do. Not the biggest selection but most definitely worth the trip. Decent prices too.”

“Amazing hand-pulled noodles. Really unique and surprising find for Alameda. Highly recommended. Their menu (although itself produced with surprisingly high production value) is amusingly confusing. I'd recommend the noodle dishes on the backside over their soup if you have to choose.”

“This is a fun place to grab a dog and catch up with an old friend. They have a large selections of hot dogs, including veggie dogs that my wife loves. The patio is shaded and clean. There is plenty of parking and service is excellent. Hot do lovers this is a must try.”

“I drove by late and they were still open. The girl upfront took my order, even though she messed up a couple times, she was super friendly and apologetic. The food was cooked up fast and the best stuff to me was the Fried clams. Their fries were great and their chicken sandwich was great too. I asked for a malt shake and she gave me a milk shake and didn't realize it until we were already going on the freeway. ----------------------------------------- I parked on the street, but I don't know how parking would be during the day time. The space is huge and tons of seating options. The menu has plenty to choose from. Staff was friendly. Quick service Even with the error, I'll give it 4”

“Amazing food every time...and good prices too! The Thai Iced Tea is to die for. The Chicken Satay is tender and juicy. The sushi is wonderful. The soups are incredible. Must try when you are in Alameda. Bonus that they are right across from Feel Good Bakery on Encinal where you can get killer pastries to take home.”

“Food was very good except for Salt & Pepper Prawns which had never been shelled. Because of that I couldn't eat them. They need to put that info on the menu.”

“We go for Mr. Bill...the host is Old School charm. He LOVES his customers and we love him. That being said, the food is alright, portions are small, and definitely overpriced. The Small guacamole appetizer was maybe 4 oz, the size of a "side" IMO, and paid $6! Margarita was good, but for $10 they could put real strawberries. As I said, we go to see Mr. Bill. He's the main attraction.”

“I’ve been here 3 times now. The time I went, I wasn’t feeling well..... the women there were more than caring and accommodating. They treated me with love and compassion. They were so concerned about my well being, the owner came down and kept me comfortable. I asked her name, but I was kind of out of it, but I think she said Grace. THAT WOMAN IS AN ANGEL!!!!!!! All the women and Sampaguita are just wonderful people. Don’t get Me wrong, they are great to me every time I go, but this time....... I was blessed by an Angel and I will never forget her! Sampaguita will always have my business!!! Without a doubt”

“The food is great. Love everything I've eaten here! But the wait can be very long at lunchtime. Great prices. Bring cash! This was a review for the old Vietnamese sandwich place. I have not been to the new sushi restaurant. Same name, same location, different owner, different food.”

“Just go here!, its good. El Caballo serves up delicious food, no frills (except for the plates that seem too nice for the prices), great service, big menu. I'll def be back. I got the chicken caesar wrap and the chicken tortilla soup. The soup was the highlight but the "wrap" (it was really a burrito with caesar dressing in it) was also effing good. I'll be back. Wish that I took pics...”
