“Cool hip hop place for great sushi and great price. They have daily happy hour specials that start at 5:00PM until 7:00PM, and the dollar oysters do sell out quickly. But, the rest on their happy hour menu (including some great cocktails for under $6.00) have some great food choices. Staff are very attentive and friendly here; in fact they treat everyone as their friends/VIPs. Location is pretty safe in Oakland; pay the few extra bucks (this place will valet one hour parking for you) and pull your car into the parking structure.”

“Duck down a set of stairs, weave through a narrow food court, wipe off the counter with a napkin, get a plate of magic. These dumplings are divine. My favorite is the pork and dill which not only beats out all the shumai / Asian dumplings I've ever had but also the Polish and Russian soup/steamed dumplings through Queens and Broolyn! The cold brisket is also nice and is an easy way to add a little variety to your plate. They also have a number of other veg. and meat. sides.”

“I came in a little after 1:30 in search of their famous chicken and waffles. Xingones is inside Fort Green with own separate payment/order podium. Serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Menu had limited items so picking out something was easy and quick. The wait wasn't long at all under ten minutes. Chicken was flavorful and juicy with touch of herb seasoning made it even more delightful to eat. Waffles were hot slight exterior crispy on edge giving this these a craft taste not out of box frozen version. You can get it to go, but I suggest eating it right away to avoid sogginess. Those tacos and Xingones nachos will be on my list to eat next week. There are new items to be added within a few weeks, but I can't say.”

“I ordered lunch from here I got the 2 piece chicken and 2 sides and I ordered my daughter the chicken strips meal. I couldn’t believe the portion size for the mac and cheese and dressing it looked like they filled up two very small sample cups and put a lid of them. Them my daughter meal came with 1 chicken strip that was broke in half. About 8 green beans and the sample cup of mac and cheese. The chicken was a decent size but everything else was extra small. Most times when you order food from places you still have a little left over not at this place I was very disappointed and I was still hungry. It was a waste of money. I’m not sure if it’s like this due to the fact that you have to order to go. I hope they serve bigger portions we you dine in.”

“Having lived in Texas and eaten a lot of meat BBQ, I was honestly a bit skeptical about vegan BBQ. But Vegan Mob truly blew me away. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits for brunch - the shrimp was perfectly fried with a crispy, crunchy coating and the grits were so creamy I couldn't believe it was vegan. The ribs were also super flavorful with a great texture. Highly recommend for vegans and non-vegans alike. The location is right by the lake too, so it's perfect to get your food to-go and then sit for a picnic by the lake. The line can be quiet long, so would recommend placing a pickup order ahead of time.”

“The food was unarguably delicious and reasonably priced and was super filling. With that being said, I have never experienced such poor customer service, like it was actually mind-boggling. We waited an hour for our main courses that they kept setting down and picking back up from our tables and then when our food finally arrived we were missing our appetizer which we had to wait another 30 minutes for. The staff seemed so lost and weren't paying attention to what we were saying. I've worked in customer service at a low-end job and we were able to be more organized with an even bigger, more complicated menu and with way more business.”

“A very fun place to hang with family and friends! The food is good and games are even better but don't be caught here from 9pm on with your children. They have contractor security guards aka flashlight cops aka top-flight security guards that will tell you that you need to leave. But not only that. They will try and tell you that they need to see everyone's ID like if they are the police. So go early and leave early.”
