“This restaurant is doubtless one of the best place in the neighborhood. Always when I come there I am extremely glad. They keep their very high standard service and the highest level of cooking they give. You are always happy with this place. Warmly recommended.”

“Finally tried this place after passing by it dozens of time when going to New Tin's Market. Was pretty good. Had your usual large menu for this type of Hong Kong style cafe, while all the items were decently priced compare to the other restaurants of this type nearby. A nice plus for this place was that most cafe style entree menus include a drink which is usually extra at other places. The taste was good and the portion as decent. Only bad thing to say was that it took a while for all my food to arrive, I was with a friend and I ordered a baked dish while my friend just order the curry chicken with rice. My baked dish came out pretty fast for a baked dish, but my friends curry didn't come out until I was almost done eating mine. So there's a question on how good the service is.”

“Nice Starbucks on the border of Chinatown and Old Downtown Oakland. There is a decent amount of seating if you want to hangout and work. If you've been to one Starbucks, you've been to them all.”

“Drink was lacking flavor (ordered a grande butterscotch latte); bathrooms were clean. Signs of the front were a little disturbing and unkept. Not sure if I would return there... however, the seating area was excellent.”

“During my most recent visit to this Starbucks location I had a question about how to redeem the rewards that were stacking up on app of my phone. A nice young man behind the counter took the time to explain to me - someone without a clue about how stuff like this reward program works. Thanks to him I walked out there in a matter of minutes with a refreshing drink after having finally redeemed a few of my "stars." That's one of the reasons why I gave this place five stars, I've gotten good service with a smile.”

“What's there to say about a national coffee chain? Came during covid-19 mobile app payment is the only way to order. Once that's done you wait outside until worker set it down and walk away before you can get it. Coffee will always be around no matter what even in these challenging times. The two workers are phenomenal, they understand what people want and provide everyone with their fix and good service to start their day. My neighbor got me drip coffee before we head to farmers market, it kept me awake and upbeat for the duration while doing our routine. #montclair #nationalcoffeechain #mermaid #meteredparking #mobileapp #social-distancing #limitedservice #friendly #efficient #hotandfresh #wifi #takeout #minimalwaittime #enjoyyourcoffee”

“Love thisStarbucks, it's probably one of my favorite locations in California. The staff, morning especially Is beyond friendly. Their restroom is ALWAYS clean, and I appreciate more than ever how they have the restroom code on the door. Thanks for being awesome! “This was Cafe 15 when it transition to KKC just like that without much hype. You may not want to come alone at night do a buddy system or order delivery. There's no seating here only standing room looking out window. Fried chicken has come a long way, but what KKC did you won't find larger fried franchise doing is they open in underserved areas of town. They cater to people who are down on their luck have no other means to get comfort food even when transportation is available. If you like fried chicken and think you can handle the area then by all means go for it.”

“Big lobster roll, on a hamburger bun. The lobster tasted fine and there was a lot of it. Pricy, bit not too bad, considering. I'll try the soup later. Two small tables for outdoor dining. Claim a seat as soon as you can. I'll be back.”

“Came for the Taiwanese style shave ice and was not disappointed. We shared the mango shave ice and one that had various mochi and custards. Both were deliciously covered in condensed milk, had tons of toppings, and were towering. Would definitely come back but they're share size so will need to bring friends.”

“This place is so good! Fast service, amazingly delicious food. I ordered the fried noodles and the bell peppers weren't cooked to death. Tasty seasonings and a hefty portion side made this a hit for myself and my son with whom I shared the dish. I needed some modifications due to allergies and they accommodated it with no issues. Coffee was surprisingly delicious. I'd go back for more any time.”

“Palatial decor with special tearoom. Great venue for large banquet as well as simple family gathering. Great dim sum lunch. Lots of variety. All the standard steamed dumpling dishes, plus more. Try the pan fried rice noodle rolls. For dinner, our must have is the smoked black cod. Also on our favorite list are the steamed tofu in a basket; typhoon style Dungeness crab; squab; and crispy fried chicken. Steamed fish with ginger and scallions is always great, but do ask for price. Some exotic fish can run up the bill significantly, though many seafood aficionados would gladly pay these prices. If you park your car in the parking garage beneath the restaurant, they will validate your parking token right before you leave. Just make sure you drive out within the effective time.”

“Was frantically looking for a spot to eat a very late lunch and settles for this place. I kept flip flopping between the burger and mussels and when I told the waitress I wasn't ready, she didn't come back until 20-25 minutes later. Apparently she "forgot" due to some jet lag she was experiencing. Anywayyyyys...she offered to comp my glass of Pinot noir which totally appeased me. I sat outside and munched on bottomless French bread and soft butter. The heat lamps were on so I wasn't freezing at all on this winter cold day. I decided to have the mussels with garlic and lemon. It was amazing! I kept asking for bread to soak up the broth. Cute neighborhood with ample parking (at least during the time I went which was around 1:45/2...). If I do come back, I'll get the burger! With Brie....I would have given 4 stars, but she took a while and I had to wave to her while she was inside and I was out front outside. She then sent the bartender over to take my order. And another thing, she had forgotten to get me water - I had to ask twice. She was friendly and did explain herself but I felt, by that point, it was kind of too far into the experience to assign 4 stars. Hope this explains to that other Yelper who couldn't seem to understand where the 3 stars came from.”

“Fast service and great food. Dried scallops egg white fried rice was awesome, it looked plain but it’s very flavorful. We were so hungry when we arrived without further ado we ordered the fried rice and it’s served in less than 10 mins.”

“I was introduced to flavors of my in laws country and tried things I usually do not try. My wife is a foodie and I know she gets it from her being raised in a food industry family. Great to see so many people come from other countries like my parents to live the American Dream! The Clay Pot Rice was different for me”

“I'll admit I was a bit skeptical about the location, since the "specialness" of a restaurant can sometimes get lost when relocating. Happy to report that the delicious BBQ pork noodle roll is still as delicious as I remember! The noodle is light, the BBQ pork is savory and the cilantro added a fresh flavor. At 4.50 for two rolls, it was the perfect summer evening dinner.”

“After all these months, finally got my Dim Sum fix at Tao Yuen pastry. Prices have gone up but food is still tummy. Lines are shorter and obviously masks & social distancing are mandatory. Don't be shocked, most of Oakland Chinatown and Downtown are still boarded up from the Black Lives protest. Looks like a war zone and some businesses seem permanently closed. While I want to support them, frankly between the parking hassle and the increased price, I'd rather get a piping hot dish from my local Chinese restaurant that has curbside pickup.”
