The deal is: you get bottomless sake for a very small price as long as your table averages out to ~$13 per person. Easy. Done. Fill up on sushi and drink bottomless sake for $20-$25? Great for friends groups!”

“First time here and while I liked it, I wasn’t blown away by the food, and it’s quite expensive. We were a party of 3 and split 2 appetizers and 2 entrees, plus a drink each (I just had a Diet Coke) and the bill was $96 total!! The staff is friendly and very attentive. But it still doesn’t make up for the prices being so high. I wouldn’t come back here for that reason.”

“I’m a vegetarian, so I don’t usually go to places like this, but my wife wanted chicken. So chicken it was! The manager was super nice and funny! She helped me pick some options for me—which was the fried corn, loaded fries, a dinner roll, and a delicious brownie. It was great! My wife was happy and so was I.”

“George the owner (handsome man in the middle) and the staff are excellent! May have been an error on our part that we didn't realize the grilled salmon would be more on the blackened side, being used to more moist baked salmon. I mentioned this to the waitress who said she'll see what she could do to help since we had started eating it. Then to our pleasant surprise she came back and said they are preparing the salmon the way we like it. Then George the owner came to ask about the salmon and we explained. He was very understanding and accommodating. The spanakopita, vegetables, rice pilaf were just delicious and the salmon that came after was perfection! The broccoli was exceptionally good! I don't know what about it, but both my nephew and i found it ever so flavorful! Enjoyed ambiance and cleanliness of the place. It's nice when the music is just right so you can enjoy the listening and have a conversation.”

“I stepped in here for breakfast after wandering on Lakeshore. I had the winter vegetable hash with poached eggs for breakfast and it was great. The dish was very colorful as they used a really good mix of lots of veggies (it wasn't mostly potatoes) and the eggs were done just right. The atmosphere is trendy and not too lots - all very pleasant. I really enjoyed my meal and will come back.”

“Always busy. Favorite bakery in Oakland. Favorites include: daily Vegetarian pizza, special cheese roll, cinnamon roll with frosting, cinnamon and sugar morning bun, currant scone, peanut butter cookie, blueberry muffin… you really can’t go wrong here! Tight space, so tables and chairs are always in demand. Fortunately you can always sit by the lake if you can’t find a seat at the cafe. I recommend parking by Trader Joe's where there's 2 hour free parking, because parking is hard to come by.”
