“Really good food and nice vibes at this Cafe. Prices aren't too bad and though the food can take a while to come out its worth it. Their fruit salad and crispy chicken sandwich are both amazing. Love this spot to eat and study or just relax.”

“The best scones ever! They are so buttery and delicious and fresh! I bought some to bring the hubby and he loved them too. Breakfast plates were amazing too but we all know we're really here for the scones. ????”

“What’s not to love about this place? Eat delicious chicken pho and play the lottery. Definitely my kind of place. It’s a no frills environment and the food is good and cheap. The pho is super customizable—you can get bone-in, boneless, dark or white meat with an array of noodle types—plus, you can add their yummy green garlicky sauce to make it a really personalized bowl. I also played the lottery after my meal so hopefully by the time you read this I’m a millionaire.”

“This place is a local gem! It's built out in a 100 year old house with many original features preserved, and the food reflects the attention to detail French cuisine is famous for. I always take out of town guests here for breakfast.”

“This is a very nice place to come get some coffee, lunch, and breakfast. The owners are very nice people and it is a great place to come and get work done or have a lively conversation. There are two couched areas and a piano which somebody comes by and plays every once in awhile. It is a large space so you are able to either be next to the liveliness or find a quiet corner. Another thing that I find particularly important when spending time somewhere is that they have a clean restroom which they do. Hands down it's one of my favorite cafes.”

“My family loves A'Cuppa Tea, we try to go as often as we can! Quiet but nice atmosphere, very welcoming. The owners are so kind and sweet, we always feel welcome and relaxed here. Always playing calming music, which is a plus, as my kids are both the "Bouncin' Off the Walls" personality type. There is a downstairs area with lots of interesting short tables and stuffed chairs plus a few tables with regular chairs. The upstairs area, up a cute, narrow staircase, has more tables and chairs. There are outlets scattered around to plug in electronic devices. Everything on the menu that we've tried is yummy, my kids especially love the watermelon juice and fresh lemonade, and we all love the chicken cabbage salad and chicken teriyaki bowl. A great selection of coffee and teas with boba available. Parking can be difficult, as it's on College Avenue near the corner of Ashby Avenue, but there are plenty of side streets to find parking on. It is around the corner from the Clermont library branch, and kitty-corner-across-the-street is the Webster Street US Post Office branch. Highly recommend. One of our favorite places in Berkeley!”

“Love this Cafe to study and eat between classes in. The roasted chicken panini is on another level of flavor and fills you up nicely. The salmon bagel was also quite tasty, and the salads (quinoa in particular) are also very good. The pastries are a bit pricey but very tasty.”

“I'm a new vegetarian excited to explore the world of meat substitutes, so I got the Chick'n and Waffles, and it was everything I've ever wanted in chicken and waffles! The waffle was rich and fluffy, and the Chick'n was juicy like the best cuts of dark meat, with perfect, crispy batter. Great coffee too! And out of this world donuts! If you want a great take-your-time, sit-down meal, there's basically no reason not to eat here!!”

“Simple dish for breakfast and lunch. Sometime hard to find a spot to sit down. Cool lounge area where kids can be easily watched. Good modern fun music, few large booth by the windows. Staff seems to be engaged in what they do.”

“Bread is great. Baked goods are a bit lacking. Hard to make a gluten free bagel. They are more like tough discs. The double chocolate cookies are awesome. The staff are stuck up and extremely pretentious. Prices are off the wall expensive for baked goods.”

“Delicious and nutrient packed foods. Love the cozy vibe! I had the Split Pea Kale soup served with wild rice, sesame oil, coconut flakes and tamari and it was so yummy! On another note, seating is quite limited so it may not be the best for larger parties of 2+”

“I've been coming here for many years, and the food is outstanding every time. The best Ethiopian I've ever had, and every item is delicious and perfectly prepared. However, the service has been routinely bad for the last two or three years. I frequently wait a long time to order, run out of water, wait a long time for the check, and then wait a long time for them to pick up my payment. I love this place so much, but they really make it a slow experience. The food is just so good I can't go anywhere else for my Ethiopian fix. Edit 2019- The management really seems to have taken the complaints regarding service seriously. The last times I've been here in winter 2018 into the new year the service has been excellent. The food is still absolutely fantastic every time.”

“Good neighbourhood coffee shop with simple eats (bagel sandwiches, &c). Diverse customer base. Good seating & ample work space. Music tends toward '80s New Wave & pop, but sometimes ventures into other genres.”
