“It has the most delicious pretzel on earth. The people who work there are nice and sociable. They take their time with you. They recommend food. Give you options. They are a bit expensive but worth it. Their lemonade is yummy too. When you buy as pretzel, order the cheesy dip with it, but don't count calories, just enjoy.”

“I am from the northeast where we have Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts. Peet's is 100% better. I am able to buy their whole bean or ground coffee back home. I love that it has the date it was roasted. Most if not all of their coffee tastes great.”

“This super friendly pub let us watch the Sounders semi-finals match. The staff is wonderful - professional, welcoming and smart. We enjoyed our drinks and food. The French Onion soup was good comfort food. It was crowded when we first arrived but thinned out by 9. Street parking is easy here.”

“I like the new large screen for ordering but I really wish the city would do more to help all the people hanging out on the corner. I lived in Berkeley for a very long time and it has gotten progressively worse. Most need help of some kind that the company cannot provide, this I understand. But It is not safe to walk pass by sometimes. I'm constantly on alert until I pass.”

“My coffee was perfect, it was caramel latte. I also got a macaroon. The atmosphere is lovely here, music playing but not too loud, people were able to have a conversation. The service was excellent and attentive, but also careful prepared orders. The art on the wall is a lot of fun.”

“Fantastically creative delicious guilty pleasures from the minds of some master gelato makers including seasonal and experimental flavors like avocado, that had a hint of lime and was almost like guacamole yet still totally delicious, and milk flavored ice cream as opposed to cream flavored ice cream. An absolutely beautiful way to enjoy sugar. The flavor of sugar, spices, and ice hit your tongue like a frozen cyclone of deliciousness wiping out a wide swath of nurons clearing the way for new growth of taste afflicted brain pathways ultimately exploding in an avalanche of creamy goodness.”

“Honestly 3 stars is pushing it with this place. 12 dollars for one waffle that honestly was over powered with cinnamon the texture was very tough as well. I got the savory polenta which was pretty good but also over priced for what it was. The coffee was excellent I would highly recommended the Cubano definitely brings me back to Miami. The service is excellent that’s what really makes this place amazing the staff is truly welcoming and incredibly accommodating!!”

“The food is great. Love everything I've eaten here! But the wait can be very long at lunchtime. Great prices. Bring cash! This was a review for the old Vietnamese sandwich place. I have not been to the new sushi restaurant. Same name, same location, different owner, different food.”

“Fries were good but could be a lil crisper, not pictured. Didn't like the thick corn breading used to cover the chicken empanadas. I didn't like the chicken filling either. Same breading used for the veggie empanadas. Filling was good with the cheese, corn & I think spinach? Didn't like breading because it's not the texture I prefer of not being crispy enough & it's thick & heavy. I do like that everything was fried well & wasn't greasy. I'd come here again & maybe order the things I like if I was feeling snackish but otherwise, I'd eat elsewhere.”

“Fantastic brunch spot, and a great place to sit down and get some work done. The food is good and competitively priced, and the coffee is all pretty solid. Where this place shines though is its tea selection. The options are so varied and all have their purpose and flavor. Definitely not a high schooler spot, which is a big plus in Alameda! So glad Julie's is here!”

“Great vibe! Fun place for a brunch. I had the corned beef hash, which was excellent. My wife had the crab cake Eggs Benedict, which was less than excellent. Their Irish coffee was great, as was their Bloody Mary with cucumber vodka. All in all, a wonderful first experience!”

“A very nice Panera Bread restaurant. The sandwiches tend to be large but you can get a half salad with a sandwich or soup. Great place for breakfast treats, bread, and all around good food”

“I have visited twice the first time with a party of 8. We had a wait of about 20 minutes. The waitstaff was helpful and friendly. They took our orders and got the food out to us as quickly as possible. They did a great job making sure they got the order correct. The food was tasty. Worth the wait. The second time...the wait for 2 people was much longer. The waitstaff ignored us and the food was undercooked and burned at the same time. I guess you have to go on the right day...not a HOLIDAY!”

“I've only has the bacon, egg, and cheese and coffee, but for a local joint it's good. Definitely get their Cold Brew it's delicious and they put time into making it. Great notes and flavors. They are also always trying to experiment with new dishes and the menu, so you'll always see something new when you go in. Go here for a good vibe.”
