Creole in all its buttery, floury, creamy glory. It's called Roux for a reason my friends. “Guys, I gotta be honest. I'm only giving this place 5 stars to even out the 1 stars in the universe that were undeserved. But hear me out. I went here tonight and the meal was fine but I wasn't too hungry. I ate half my burger and fries. I wanted to get them boxed up. I also wanted more water. When the server came over, I'm 95% sure I didn't say to box it up and did ask for more water. He did as I asked. At the time, i thought i had asked him to box my food up and asked it where it was. He looked confused. Why? After much introspection, I'm convinced I forgot. He asked me if I wanted him to cook half a burger and some fries. I said no. He got the manager to come over and offer me a free dessert card and free appetizer card. I refused. My father asked me to take it perhaps just to end the awkward suffering of looking like one of those people who complains to the manager. That certainly wasn't my intent. I gave the cards to my father. Again, as I lie here in bed, up on reflection of my day, it was my attitude that caused the conflict. I had a sour look and tone. I was honestly just bummed and exhausted and didn't behave the way I would want to represent who I am as a person. I am truly sorry.”

“This place has been here for a long time. I have been going here off and on since I was younger. It's a hippie taco place. There is a smoke shop right upstairs. I think sometimes the people working at taco loco are high. But it doesn't seem to affect the tacos. They always taste the same. The prices seem to go up every time we eat there. The shrimp, lobster, swordfish, and veggie tacos are the standouts. The guacamole is good on the tacos but I think the salsas are super weak. The "spicy" tastes like tapatio mixed with lemon juice. The mild is very mild like tomato sauce. It's not real Mexican tacos, it's hippie California beach tacos. Good once in a while.”

“Stick to the gourmet burgers and you will be happy. Fries typical frozen mush. Fish and chips is yuck of thin triangles of blah no taste frozen variety. Service is wonderful. So if you stick with the gourmet burgers on Tuesday bogo you will be happy and full. You can exchange to turkey burger and it is the best turkey burger I have ever had. Instead of fries choose the homemade potato chips or upgrade to a salad instead of fries. Lemonade is scrumptiously fresh. Location is just off Main Beach so that is a plus. The four stars is for the burgers, stellar service and location.”
