“My daughter & I traveled to San Diego from Alabama. I feel terrible about not getting his name but the owner was so welcoming and the food was awesome. We went there for breakfast and lunch. He had great suggestions and helped us navigate around as we were on foot. Did I say the food was awesome? There's a little dog that came in looking for his mom and I thought that was so cute. Definitely stop in and grab a bite.”

“Ramen - 5/5 - spicy broth was lightly spicy, very thick and creamy. The noodles had a slightly thick feel to it. The ground pork was very flavorful. Ordered extra pork belly for $3 Chicken karage 5/5 - perfectly fried. The meat was tender and juicy. Battery was crispy. Service 5/5 - everyone was super polite and service was quick. My only "complaint" is I'd rather not order and pay as I enter the store, but that's a preference. It forces you to tip before you've eaten, tasted the food, or actually gotten service.”

“One of the best branches in San Diego. My morning is not complete except in the cafe from this place, they make you happy with their smiles and beautiful words. Thank you.”

“Awesome restaurant. I went twice. Pho was great. The beef broth was outstanding. 2nd time I got the seafood noodle, and that was great as well. It was fairly expensive compared to other Vietnamese restaurants.”

“This place is a must stop if your looking for authentic tasting Mexican food. I ordered the machaca plate and everything from the flavor to to the tenderness of the meat was perfect. I also like that it was walking distance from our hotel and that you have the option of indoor or outdoor seating that is shaded.”

“Just moved here and I've been looking for my new pizza spot. These guys are doing something right! Fast service, pizza was fantastic, and prices reasonable. Just ordered a slice and some wings with a soda. Don't hesitate to try them out. For restaurant: I wished there were some other wing flavors rather than only Buffalo. I like simple menus actually, but consider adding BBQ at least so we have more flavors! Excited to come back again soon. Update: Either I missed it on the menu the first time or they added BBQ as a flavor for the wings! Tried them, damn good. Thanks!!”

“I have been here several times. It is a startup business, and it keeps getting better every day. The menu options have increased. They also offer a dog menu.”

“This is a tough one. My coffee was 5 stars all the way in terms of flavor, but it was only “warm” by the time I got to my car and had it half consumed it was not even warm. But again, the taste was great. Also, a large is only 16oz and it’s over $6 out the door. Seemed a little steep. But again it was really good. This place had the feel that it was new, or up and coming and for that reason I like to support them. “Cute” places to sit outside and a couple tables inside if that’s more your thing.”

“This place was great. Even our 18 month old son was eating everything he could get his hands on. Thai food is one of our favorite cuisines, and this place didn't disappoint at all. The atmosphere of the restaurant is casual but hip. The guests and layout can make for a bit of a loud talking environment, but we weren't bothered by it at all. Just typical restaurant chatter, but due to the box style of the building, you can hear most people's conversations even if you don't want to. Parking nearby was a pain in the butt (definitely do not park in the place across the street as it is $30...we parked about 2 blocks away for about $13).”

“Was near our hotel and they had menus outside. The prices were great so we decided to try it out! The staff were friendly and got our order quickly. They have self serve coffee with many different hot brew choices to make. The food was fantastic and feeling! Was not expecting plate sized pancakes. Would definitely go again.”

“This was a very fun stop. The atmosphere is great and fun to hang out for a while. The choices of donuts were great and we had a difficult time choosing. The prices were very reasonable as well. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. Pick a few to share, they are very large!”

“Full review: These are probably the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Their website says that they are made fresh that day, I can tell. My photos may not be the best, but they are so fluffy and have a great taste. I’m looking forward to trying other menu items. Today I just had a pancake craving and I got lucky with these 👌🏽 They are also super quick, made in under 10 min. Can I have the recipe? 😄 **update** One big reason why I don’t dine here anymore is because every time I walk in that place, my energy goes down. It’s depressing. They have the tv constantly going like you’re in a depressing retirement home. This isn’t inviting and going to drive away customers. There are plenty of places that focus on making it enjoyable for the customer. How hard is it to maybe mute the tv and play music?”

“Excellent option for those early risers. Plenty of options on the menu that gets cooked fast, fresh Coffee is brewed and ready even when I walked by at 6:15. No frills seating out front, but upstairs loft seating is available if you want to hang out.”

“I come here all the time for lunch. Pretty much whatever I choose, I know will be healthy, filling, and vegetarian. Value and service is pretty good too.”

“Some of the best tacos that I had in the downtown area. Al pastor was delicious but Cameron (spicy shrimp) was average. They have a small seating area and it gets pretty crowded. I’d have given 4 stars but the cleanliness in the dine-in area could really be improved. There was no one to clean up after each party leaves the table, which led to us cleaning the table ourselves.”

“Great food with a great service. The Pad Thai was good and pad see yaw was really good. The restaurant is not big and seems that it mostly caters to carry-out crowd. We conversed with the owner a bit, whose business was impacted by Covid and homelessness. It’s tough, and both issues are mostly out of their control. They are trying their best and with a great food and service, I am sure they will get support from locals and tourists alike.”

“Amazing food with a middle-eastern/Mediterranean focus. Nice medium sized spot with large TV and DJ area w/ smaller dance floor. Sometimes can have a huge wait but arriving early it can be empty.”

“Very very tasty food. Absolutely delicious naans. The staff is hospitable and friendly. The head chef greeted us after our dinner and asked for feedback. This is someone who enjoys feeding delicious food to the guests. Highly recommend......❤️🤟”

“Last stop on our Escondido San Diego beer trip was Eppig Brewing on the waterfront. Straight up, their beers were the best we had so far. Their traditional German Brewing Techniques creates some of the best beers you'll have. My favorites were their Octoberfest and Dry Rice Lagers. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Moreover, the place in general is visually awesome. Right off the waterfront, next to all the boats docked in the harbor. This place is an absolute MUST visit.”

“I've been in Ocean Beach for two weeks and haven't had a good meal yet. I gave up on restaurants and surrendered to the grocery store Krisp. There I have found the only good meal during my stay! The smash burger is unbelievable! Delicious, satisfying, not greasy but melt in your mouth. The bun and cheese are awesome. Amazing natural cut shoestring fries which occupy first place on my personal fry scale. The rest of the store is good too but you don't want to miss this burger. Way better than the "famous" burger place on the same stretch which is over rated imo.”

“This place is pretty solid, standard breakfast, brunch, small lunch fare. Clean and inviting lay out and decor, restrooms very clean and stocked. The food is well thought out, very flavorful, nothing too out there. Service was great, coffees refilled promptly, etc. Great over all experience, I'll be back! Much easier to find and much more parking than the other brunch options in Liberty Station. Only feedback is get the menu to one page front and back. The staple is cumbersome, I don't want to handle a document at breakfast. Move kids or drink menu to seperate sheet for those that need it or something.”

“First time going to this coffee shop and I definitely plan on coming back. Went during a Friday morning and noticed it was a solid blend of college students, working professionals, and families. Fairly limited with the amount of seating inside of the shop. Ordered an iced mocha ($5.5) for inside and it came in a clear glass cup which was a very nice touch as other coffee shops do not do this. I enjoyed my cup of iced mocha, I feel that I am getting good quality ingredients here with their display of coffee bean bags by the cash register. For parking I parked along the street which is limited to a couple of hours, I am unsure if they have a dedicated parking behind the shop.”

“The vibiest of locations and a great reflection of the diversity of the neighborhood. So nice I had to go twice. Owner Angela has created a space that is warm and welcoming. Adults, kids and dogs are welcomed but definitely adult and upscale casual bistro. The wine and beer paired perfectly with a menu that provides just enough variety. The DJ was one of the best I’ve ever experienced.”
