“Very cute. I’ve never had Greek coffee and the kind barista explained to me that it’s like a Turkish coffee with some seeds, no milk, and a bit of sugar. Hot and strong. It’s tasty! Will definitely come back and maybe purchase some of their Greek coffee beans.”

“Come today for another restaurant pick up, didn't expect to find a new restaurant here that was completely different on google map. While waiting for my food coming, I tried to order the chicken wings from "Serene Light Kitchen" but was unsuccessful. Later, a front desk employee brought out the owner, who kindly and with a smile, informed me that they weren't open yet and would start their soft opening next Wednesday. When he heard that I wanted to order their chicken wings, he graciously packed a box for me to try, free of charge. The wings had a very unique flavor that I've never tasted at any other restaurant before, but I absolutely loved them. Within five minutes, all the wings had disappeared from my table. I can't wait for their opening next week. I'd like to thank him for his friendly attitude. Good deeds come back around, and I hope "Serene Light Kitchen" thrives in its business.”

“Food was alright, but definitely not worth $6 for only a handful of fries.”

“Picked up lunch and loved the freshness and flavor of the food. The location is on a busy stretch of El Camino, so look for the flags outside. Be prepared that you might have to park a block away depending on the time of day. Small but clean dining room. Friendly owner. Burritos were great and the quesadilla was filled with an obscene amount of cheese! Guacamole was fantastic. Will be back!”

“It's a great place to watch sports. But be forewarned, you will not be notified if they change the channel. They have a wide selection of items on their menu and are all good. They also offer lunch specials M-F. I enjoy their meatballs and an order of their garlic knots. Yummy!! Update: you can add clams and garlic to your pizza slice!!!!! Friendly staff today. 😁”

Nick listened to our requirements and provided tailored solutions that matched our vision. Nick's extensive commercial kitchen experience and creativity helped us navigate unexpected challenges and make informed decisions that significantly improved the kitchen's design and functionality while delivering the fully permitted space within the specified timeline and budget. We look forward to working with BOLT on our next project.”

“We were here on a late night snack. The service was good just like the pizza. Let me tell you this, if you buy two slices, that is enough. 😅 I had a small whole pie and that was more than enough for one person. They have good vegan options too! When you are around and want to have good pizza, give it a try!”

“Hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Bay Area! We usually go to their Fremont location, which specializes in Hunan cuisine. This place is more about Yunnan Cuisine, and literally every single dish we ordered was amazing. Even my friends who usually don’t eat spicy food were so impressed with their food that they are starting to eat spicy because of this place!”

“Cash only. Good cheap home-cooked Guatemalan food. Literally. The truck operates right outside the owners home where food is also cooked. Ordered the milanesa de pollo (breaded chicken cutlet). Good amount of food for $10. Came with beans, rice, cheese, and handmade tortillas. Lady taking my order was nice and only spoke Spanish but it wasn’t hard to order. The truck is pretty busy and lively at night with many people from the community having dinner together. Little spots like these really highlight San Mateo’s vibrant Hispanic community that surrounds MLK Park”

“Pretty good food. Burritos can be hit or miss, though. Sometimes there is just way too much rice in them, making the burritos a little bland. Overall though the meats are flavorful. It didn’t used to say on the menu (they’ve updated it since), but you can order regular taqueria meats like al pastor, carne asada, carnitas, cabeza, etc. in your tacos and burritos, not just chivo and res.”

“Excellent food and service! Ideal to grab a coffee, quick bite or regular lunch. The place is always busy with people working nearby and it's easy to see why. They have a fairly diverse range of sandwiches that are a good, healthy option!”

“This was a very good experience just few days ago. Very nicely lit and interestingly positioned place. They have nice area of many tables under red umbrellas outside and plenty of tables inside. Our group of friends took the inside table. The walls are actually glass so siting inside one still can observe the street and it is nice. We all ordered various items on the menu - Tuna Melt sandwich, chicken crispy tenders, garlic fries and pastrami Reuben, and pulled BBQ beef. Portions are very good size. We couldn’t finish them all and the dinner leftovers become the lunch next day. I like their fries very much - they are adequate thickness, so you can later on cook them either on stovetops or in Air Frier - and they keep the moisture and the taste. I like the attention we got from all the servants, always with a smile and they were proactive about all that we might need. The presentation of the meals on the plates is also very good. I used to go to Refuge in San Carlos (it’s very good as well) and I’m glad we found this new one in Hillsdale mall - definitely recommend you to visit and enjoy it!”

“I love Ben's Fast Food! It's super affordable, clean, and very tasty - I love the spicy sauce and the slow roasted chicken. Such a great option to have when you want to order-in but don't want to pay a fortunate. There aren't a lot of reviews here on Google..but check out the nearly 100 reviews on DoorDash - 4.8 stars!”

“A takeout only place. I only tried their milk tea, which was okay. Funny thing is they sealed the cup with a plastic firm even for hot milk tea.”

“Lovely mochi donuts with a good variety of flavors. Milk Tea glazed donuts is certainly innovative and tasty. Nice texture and just the right amount of chewiness. Would order again.”

“This is our first time visiting their new location, we have been going to their other location a lot of times. The decor is clean and relaxed. They have a large outside sitting area which I like, with heaters too. Service is good. Food is flavorful, however, everything was about 40% too flavorful. I would like the seasoning to dial back a notch, especially with the salt. The rice is a little too soft and mushy. The potato is very crispy and flavorful but could use less salt. Both proteins were quite salty that we couldn’t finish, as well as the miso soup. But I can see everything could be perfect by bringing down the saltiness. Otherwise, everything is lovely and we will be back.”

“My first time here and I loved this place. Went with a group of picky European girlfriends and we all had a great time. My favorite was the Winter tartine, beet and goat cheese salad had delicious chicken and was a very generous portion. Coffee was also excellent (cappuccino). It's a fun comfortable place, kind of feels like you are eating in someone's kitchen (in a good way). Service was very friendly and they let us linger when it wasn't so busy. Almost forgot the mimosas were delicious. Had blood orange juice. Yummy!!!! I will definitely be back. Great for shopping for Backhaus bread and energy snacks and other interesting food items. Parking can be challenging so give yourself time.”

“I like this place for a nice walk and breakfast. Staff was friendly, bi-lingual English/Spanish. The toast is not exactly as I remember it. It was better, but still good. I wish they had better coffee, but we went next door to 3 bees. A perfect combination. 😁”
