“Found this place to be excellent if you are looking for high quality, healthy comfort food that tastes great at prices that are not crazy. Found the vibe and staff to be welcoming, genuine, and unique. Have been coming to Santa Barbara for over 10 years and am now a resident and just happened upon The Blue Owl. My husband and I will definitely be returning regularly. Appreciate that it's a little off of super busy State street and like the option of outside seating. Also enjoyed the live music the Friday evening we were there. Might not matter to a lot of people but loved the tiny planters of live plants and flowers on each table. My only concern is that recommendations like this will make The Blue Owl busier for me when I want to go there but so appreciate that the folks at Blue Owl are creating this enjoyable dining experience for our community during these challenging times for restaurants. Highly recommend.”

“Honestly, this place is pretty mediocre after changing their owners. This used to be my favorite sushi spot but when we came in they didn’t have the same options and the rolls we ordered were nothing compared to what they used to make. The Mexican roll was a huge disappointment:( Was super excited to come here but I think I’ll be looking for another sushi place. Also they used to have Japanese sushi chefs but now they’re not and I wonder if that has an affect on the sushi…”

“Highly recommend. We were looking for a place to eat and saw they had happy hour until 7. Menu looked good, so we got a table. I had the salmon sweet potato salad which was delicious. My partner had the steak on flat bread, also good. Our server, Chelsea, advised him on their beers with a smile. He tried a few different ones and was not disappointed. We had a great time.”

Had a gold jacket stolen from my table right in front of 10-12 patrons eating and 2 Natural Cafe staff members. And everyone said they saw nothing. Amazing, and the Manager on duty, just shook his head and said sorry that happened. Amazing how passive and unhelpful society is these days. The Natural Cafe on State Street has thieves all over the place, be weary of your possessions in that area....”
