“My daughter and I went here for dinner, we sat outside it was a nice evening. The tables were clean our server was very nice. I had the chicken breast kebab meal, it was quite delicious. The chicken was tender and not dry. The rice was tasty. I only wish they would serve more of the lavash bread with the meal, there was very little on my plate.”

“I love that this place is family owned and run! The food is absolutely delicious!!! We ordered pupusas and gorditas revueltas, sopes, burrito, horchata, and carrot juice. These were the best sopes and gorditas I’ve ever had! It was a nice surprise to see the more traditional white rice in the burrito. My son loved it! My husband likes his food spicy and their salsas did not disappoint! The horchata was perfect. Not too sweet with right horchata flavor! I can’t wait to go back and try more!”

“Nice new Mexican seafood restaurant in Simi Valley. First time there. I had to try the Paella and was pleasantly surprised. It was very good even though it was missing the chicken (included in the menu description). The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is paella must be served with bread rolls for sopping up all the goodness! When I asked they only had tortillas....just not the same. Service was good. Atmosphere pleasant. Pretty good $6 Happy Hour margaritas. I'll be back to try some of the more traditional Mexican fare!”

“This place delivers. We had lunch there. I got the vegetable tacos with goat cheese and he got a giant burrito (vegan). For only part time vegans, this place was amazing. It didn't taste like health food at all. Indulgent but you left feeling good and not gross. It's in a cute little building filled with local produce and stuff but the highlights are the food. Also got a green smoothie. It was very good and we both felt the pricing was fair. My only critique is that the homemade tortillas are a bit clunky and fall apart, but it wasn't worth losing a star over. Run, don't walk here, and order some seriously good food!”

“First class food, service and a very nice atmosphere. Semi-expensive IMO, and if you want to order a plate instead of 'family' style you must be there between 11 & 3 pm. “Good service, very helpful. I ordered a half order which included Hawaiian BBQ chicken (meat of choice) on a bed of cabbage, a scoop of rice and a scoop of macaroni salad. The macaroni salad is very plain, no extra veggies, but great flavor. I actually prefer it on the plain side, so I was pleasantly surprised. Chicken was cooked perfectly. I got a side of pot stickers (6 piece) and they were so so satisfyingly Devine. Again, no extra fluff no veggie crunch, but great soft texture, thick outer layer, just what I needed. I will definitely come back.”

“I was going to take a photo of my food but I ate it so quickly I didn’t get a chance to! I had their popular braised oxtail soup with dirty rice and it was so good! And for dessert, that cassava pie was freshly baked it was still warm. I’d eat that cold anyway but I’ll take fresh any day. Talked to the owner as well. She was very pleasant and friendly. And the employees were very friendly as well. Overall, a very nice place to have a quick bite or linger a bit and savor the food.”

“Rubio's food is always cooked perfectly and delicious every time. I have never experienced bad customer service and have had my food cooked In a timely manner. The salsa bar is stocked and fresh and there is hardly a time when there isn't 5-10 people in line or eating. 5/5. The California bowl with chicken is definitely a favorite meal of mine as well as the Taco Tuesday deal. ????”
