“It's good, pretty fresh ... Always a super long wait, not as good as it should be for how long the wait is honestly”

“This corner spot is ahead of this town when it comes to providing a fun, cool venue with delicious food and drinks and comfy outdoor seating! The weather is starting to cool down so we'll definitely consider making a return... or two!🤙🏽”

“Good local place to eat, food was great and prices were not bad for the area, staff is friendly. Place was pretty busy, about 1-2 hours before close, and stayed steady the whole time we were there. Service was fast and food was hot and good. Only complaint I have is the $8 Florida Hot Chicken sandwich I purchased was two small pieces of chicken. Though it was very spicy (GOOD THING imo,I like hot stuff and it was HOT) and tasted good.”

“Great step back to the old times. Bench seating could be significantly more comfortable. Movies longer than 2hrs could start to hurt. We'll keep going back for other good movies. Hope to maybe see the menu expand a little some day!”

“This little hidden away Cafe has incredible food. Our original dinner plans fell through and we chose the location purely for its proximity at first but I'm so glad we settled on there. The prices had us a bit concerned but it was worth every penny. Our server was very kind, attentive, and patient with our larger group. COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF AND CREW!!!”

“I have mixed emotions about Ali's. I've only been once and wouldn't necessarily say I was disappointed, but for the price, I wasn't blown away either. In this price range I would start to expect a freshly made pasta or two on the menu which I'm fairly confident is not the case. I'd try it again and get something different, although our order was shared amongst 3 families so we did try quite a few things. I would definitely not bother with pizza. EDIT: I appreciate the passion and always welcome responses from business owners (being a restaurant owner myself). I stand by the 4 star review and will remove the frozen comment. I enjoyed the food, but the pizza crust reminded me of a large Carr's Table Water Cracker. If proofed, it was definitely under proved. If non-proofed, I'd bump up the salt or maybe add a little olive oil.”

“Neat little upscale restaurant tucked off the main drag. Great food and atmosphere. Parking immediately around the restaurant can fill up but there's street parking and lots nearby.”

“I was part of a wedding that was held here and although the venue is beautiful and seemingly well maintained, there were several things that could be improved as far as weddings are concerned. The most disappointing and mind-blowing thing that we encountered was the fact that there is no area for the bride to stay before the ceremony. Our bride had to stand in the family restroom for an hour in her heels and dress waiting for the ceremony to begin. There was no liaison or anyone for the coordinator to communicate with on the day of to find an alternative or get any assistance for other issues. I have no complaints about the bar staff, as they were professional and friendly. The rest of the staff however, seem to be completely clueless and put out at the smallest request. The reception area in the upstairs was beautiful and really easy to decorate around with The rustic features and nice view. The ceremony area in the grass looked nice and chairs were set up for the guests. The food was great and seemed to be a hit for everyone who attended but there were not many options for those with gluten intolerance. Lastly, another bride and her bridal party were downstairs while the the wedding was going on. She and her party were taking photos with our wedding decor and can be seen in the background of many of our guest's pictures. Overall, I think with some adjustments this would be a nice place to have a wedding once you overlook the surrounding area which looks extremely dumpy. Driving past strip clubs to get to a wedding venue is not the best look. Once inside The Gulf, it's very pretty. I can't say that I would recommend this for an event, but it may be nice for a night out.”

“We had a good experience here. Due to the precious poor reviews we were avoiding it but the service was great and timely. The food was very good. We had an Italian buffet and happened to be craving Italian so it worked out. The only reason for 3 vs 4 star was the fact that they had a buffet. With Covid and all it is gross to think of everyone handling the utensils and lids ahead of me. If you’re staying at the island, definitely stop by though for a good, filling meal.”

“We arrived at the restaurant and immediately were seated. Took a little time for the waitress to come and take the order. It was worth the wait. The food was delicious. Loved the calamari, crab cakes, bacon wrapped shrimp and fried cheesecake. Definitely delicious choice.”

“We have been going to Old Bay Steamer for over 23 years and it never disappoints. Their great quality food is ALWAYS consistent. My children grew up going there and , now grown, take their families. It’s not just the fabulous food (crab legs, royal reds with sweet melted butter...) but it’s a visual experience! The owner collects artwork from local, young up and coming artists to that of seasoned, well known artists. The walls have inspired me to do many of the same things in our home and our friends love it! We aren’t family and don’t know the owner but her awesome personality sure comes through. Jill has been our waitress for years. The service, the food, the visual stimulation is worth the 6 hour drive every time. Sorry to ramble, but our first visit, they were brand new. We had a party of 15 - 20 and they were swamped. The owner handed one of us a broom and told the rest of us not to just stand there, roll some silverware. It was hilarious and we did it! We’ll always remember how funny she was. This is a must stop.”

“1 hour wait time for 2 small pizzas. Maybe 15 cars in the Parking lot at most. The pizza was good but a burnt. Only one cook in the back. The waitress was really nice but the manager didn't seem friendly at all. It’s a great place to go to if you want to sit at the bar and drink all night I’d say. Don’t recommend going for food. It’s definitely a dive bar. Don’t advertise food if you don’t want to serve it.”

“Seriously some of the best Gelato I have ever eaten. The coconut was delicious. Creamy and smooth with bits of coconut inside. The chocolate was truly transcending. You could taste the cocoa. Incredible. The lemoncello was bright and refreshing. Worth every penny.”

“Great service, despite being packed. Also, if the prices scare you, don't worry. They give you more food than you can eat. They have so many leftovers that gulls and pigeons have decided to live here. So much delicious food. The salsa is smokey and good. And isn't overly reliant on cilantro to cover the freshness of the ingredients. Also, my girlfriend vouches for the cute little drink buckets.”

“Tuna burger and Cajun fries were great. Rum bucket drink was good. Was advised no Okaloosa island parks/beach allow animals after we’d ordered at the bar. We had our dog with us. We were permitted to finish our meal the leadership was kinda and informational. Live music and beach mix played. Weather and atmosphere were perfect. For and drinks came out super quick after being ordered”

“Food was great. I got the fried snapper and shrimp which was amazing and bug portions. My girl got the lobster and shrimp roll which was super packed with fresh shrimp and sauteed lobster. The location was absolutely amazing. We got to look out over the water while enjoying our meal. The best choice for nice environment and great fresh tasting food. Not to mention our server was simply outstanding. I will update with servers name as soon as I locate my receipt. Definitely worth a try.”

“I give this a 3 stars. I am a big foodie and a cook myself. I not only judge a restaurant by its food, presentation and service but by its ambiance. This one is a 3 star because where it lacks in great food it certainly delivers in ambiance. We ate during karaoke and it was extremely entertaining. Really great performances. The service was great as well. Our server was attentive and inviting. Food- could try a little harder. This food could have very well be considered bar food. In that case nothing should change but if food was priority I think they could add more love and flavor to the food. If you are going to just have a good time and not focused on food but more of ambiance this is the place!”

“Awesome food. Highly recommend the blackened shrimp, vegetable pasta dish. Friendly atmosphere, large place so seating is hardly ever a problem. Walk the pier, then stop for a drink and dinner at Anglers. What could be better. Friendly staff, always pleasant. Amy was a great waitress. Thank you for a wonderful experience.”

“Service, atmosphere, and food were all wonderful! We tried the crab dip, stuffed pork chops, and sirloin. Only issue was that I seemed to pick the two items off the menu that were out of stock for the night, but the bartender was very helpful in suggesting alternative options. I will definitely be back in the future! Four stars Edited to add: returned 2 years after initial review. Food still exceeded my expectations, service was great, and the quality of the overall meal was absolutely great. The Oreo cheesecake was one of the top desserts I've had at any restaurant. I will now ABSOLUTELY return on future trips! Five stars now.”

“Stewby's is always a great place to eat and this was my first visit to this location. My first impression was that it wasn't too busy, despite being lunch time, and the service was speedy. I had to sit at a dirty table but that's a deal at a picnic bench table. The okra is almost as good as in Oklahoma and the entree was awesome (a catch of the day sandwich). Portion sizes were adequate but not outrageous. The location on the island is perfect for families that would like to make an event around lunch or after dinner, as it is close to a mini-golf course. Good experience all around.”

“DON’T MISS OUT! Some of the best potato salad, fries, hush puppies I’ve ever had… And those are just the sides that come with your entree! We ordered the grilled amberjack fish of the day and seafood gumbo, both were delicious. Friendly staff, plenty of seating inside and out. It can get busy quickly, so go early to beat the crowd, especially on weekends. Their market next door is also great for fresh local seafood. Very cost effective too.”

“We wanted to find a good breakfast place to eat that was outside. And stumbled onto this cute outdoor place. Although it is a food truck atmosphere, the food was good and the people are nice. They also played great music adding to the atmosphere. They only serve breakfast. A great find.”

“Ate here after our beach wedding last weekend. It was so good! Romantic setting, amazing service. So upset that I don't remember our servers name but he was so friendly and loved his job! Husband had steak and it was the best steak he's ever had. Melt in your mouth good! My crab leg dinner with garlic mashed potatoes was delicious! Just upset we didn't have room for dessert!”
