“Best burgers I have ever had! I never thought I could love a burger this much lol. I've gone back atleast 5 times. I tried just about everything from the 10gallon, El Ray, 50's burger, chub fries, regular fries and some other fries with bacon and a vanilla milk shake. All the burgers are great! I love the taste of their fries. This is definitely the #1 spot for a good premium burger. Must try! Only complaint, it's a bit expensive. Other than that they have a convenient online ordering system which is great. Oh and every order I've placed has been ready in less than 10 minutes. You will not be disappointed ????”

“Now the best experience ever. We have eaten here for years. It is out "go to" place for the best steak, seafood, and service. We have NEVER been disappointed in Ruth Chris in the past 23 years, 8 locations, and 5 states until last night. It was busy and I get that, but they failed on so many points throughout the evening it is very hard to give them any slack as being a one off. The manager did his best to make up for everything. It is hard to believe that our old faithful had let us down on such a special night. We will think about it if we are going to go back again and try again.”

“Great omakase experience! Came here on a Wednesday night with my wife. My brother-in-law recommended this place and he's a sushi fan so I knew I was in for a treat. And Chef did not disappoint. Each dish was of high quality and delicious. I wouldn't say the dishes were unique or exotic...they were typical sushi dishes, but the quality and freshness is what shined through. An extra bonus was the coffee jelly dessert. That dessert was the proverbial cherry on top of a great meal. The night we came, the parents of Chef's son-in-law were dining next to us so it was nice to chat with them and learn a little about Chef and his family. I was told that Chef had prepared a meal for the Emperor of Japan in the past so that was very cool to find out.”

“Most notable about Oh! Sozai by KuruKuru is that it serves quality Japanese food in a friendly little storefront in a community that is growing with hundreds of new residents with high expectations. Sozai has friendly staff who frankly, seem like your long lost Japanese uncles and aunties. Their younger staff are also pretty friendly too. They serve nigiri sushi, a variety of okazu, and donburi. A good way to judge a restaurant is the quality of their poke and for me, their oyako donburi. Here, I think the quality of both dishes are above average. Not the very, very best (which can be expensive), but wow, for the price, it’s incredibly good. Food establishments come and go all the time, especially in Kakaako, but I really am pulling for this little restaurant to make it because I love having access to a good ahi don nearby. (Yes, it’s better than some of those other places that have long lines.)”

“I was really pleased with this place. Came here on a whim and ordered the chicken po boy and the sandwich was amazing. I got the meal deal with lemonade and the potato salad and everything had a good, fresh taste to it. The chicken was white meat and was really flavorful and juicy. They have a lot of options for their sandwiches and don't be afraid to ask questions, the staff will help you decide based on what you are feeling. Recommend giving them a try!”

Finally, an establishment that takes pride in quality ingredients prepared with care and made with passion. Justin and the team will go out of their way to "veganise" most of their menu and you won't be disappointed. Tortilla was ridiculously fresh and tasty, the vegetables seasonal and crisp, beans (not cooked in lard) and rice (not cooked in chicken stock) provided the traditional base upon which the homemade guacamole and salsa presided. Do yourself a favour and save the fare to San Diego or Seattle. The best vegan burrito is right here in Honolulu.”

“My first stop after landing. Did a little search on place was still open at that hour. We landed a bit late and was craving some good food and this was the right decision. Mono Poke was my favorite place that we ate at in our 4 days on the island. We ordered from the Happy Hour menu. The Poke Platter is a must order item, as well as the Crispy Wings. I could have done without the fries, but they were good as well. The Poke Platter came with 3 different proteins, cucumber and fried wonton chips. So dang good!The fries look good from the picture, but it has an interesting taste. Not a fan of the sauce. The Crispy Chicken Wings are a must order too and the pieces are quite big. There was just so much flavor in every dish. The front of the restaurant is a poke bar where you can get a bowl to go. I imagine it would be great during the day. I noticed that there was outdoor seating, so it would have been nice to eat outside too. It's clean, spacious and the staff are friendly. Worth checking out if you're in a hurry or have time to sit down for a good dining experience. Plenty of street parking in the area. I remember there being mostly metered parking.”

“This was my first time here. The decor is comfortable. There was no wait and we were greeted by friendly smiling staff. Clean, big open space. The building is two stories with indoor/outdoor seating on both levels (super cool). We went for my daughters birthday was a little bummed that they don't do anything for birthdays. We were served a bowl of rice which I thought was kind of a cool Hawaii thing (the mainland locations I have been to don't serve rice). We ordered the snow crab combo, order of shrimp and an order king crab. Our food came in bags the littles thought it was so much fun eating from bags. However, it would have been nice to have had a bucket or something for shells/waste. We are a military family and noticed after reading the reviews they offer a military discount but we were told that our meal didn't qualify for the discount because we ordered a combo. Overall, food was awesome and staff was friendly. We'll be back!”

“The Butcher and Bird keeps pace with the theme of Salt in Kakaako! It's expected that when areas like Salt develop, you'll have some niche restaurants pop up and here is no exception. To that point, anticipate good food with well thought out ingredients, where the process matters to the owner. Note that it will be expensive and will not be a large serving, it will give you an opportunity to taste quality. I had the Italian special, and each ingredient played a part. I would recommend this to my friends.”
