“The sheriff burger was delicious! I was also impressed with its presentation. I ordered the burger without the bun - they have a perfectly sized plate to keep the whole burger contained. “Amazing bistro. Down to earth, caring staff. I've had the pleasure of personally getting to know the owner as well, and she's truly an amazing soul that cares deeply for her staff and customers. Food is exceptional. Most items are made from scratch (like their amazing gravy), and it's obvious their cooks + kitchen staff CARE! The owner offers free thanksgiving dinner for local families every year, and their wine dinners and special events are truly memorable. Wonderful and essential part of downtown Meridian, hands down.”

“I came in for a late weekday to-go lunch and ordered a small pizza. All of the staff were very friendly and ready to answer any question I had. I even got a chance to peek up at the rooftop, which is a wonderful spot to relax and watch the traffic & clouds go by. The interior was very clean, but what impressed me most was the extensive fresh salad bar that had obviously been replenished after lunch. I would say that this salad bar, as you can see in my photo, is a is a definite go-to that I will return to again and again. The pizza, however, unfortunately, not so much. I wanted to love the pizza, but I'm sorry to say it was extremely average. It was picture perfect, but very, very light on toppings, which is a disappointment at any pizza shop you may visit. It did not taste bad at all but also had nothing outstanding that I would want to crave again. I would want any business to do well, but it seems that they are slightly overcharging for this pizza, especially given the fact that they skimp on toppings. Still, even with a mediocre pizza, it would be nice to enjoy dining alfresco on their rooftup with a light breeze and the warm sunshine. Hopefully, you will arrive on foot, because parking is almost impossible, given this location is 20 feet off of Main Street, and the few available parking spots are taken up by the other adjacent businesses. It's a fun place, with a welcoming atmosphere and a friendly staff, just don't expect a lot from the pizza.”

“We went to dinner at El Tenampa Mexican Grill. The food was excellent. Our server Jesus made our guacamole at the table, and it was fabulous. Plus, Jesus was an awesome waiter. We had so much food that we had to bring a lot home. The restaurant is decorated really cute and it's also clean. We will absolutely come back again.”

“830 common has a menu to salivate over and a fun environment to enjoy with family or friends. First time and everything was well above par. Hostess, waitress, & bar manager all exceeded expectations and made it a fun night. We had a couple unique requests and even though it was pretty busy they made us feel like we were an easy customer. Fish and chips was an easy 9.7/10 if not better, homemade everything made the cheesy tots appetizer and the meat loaf and roasted garlic mashed potatoes hit the spot. This is definitely a place to check out with friends. The only downside may have been the music was a couple notches too loud. It was almost too much to have a conversation at our table, but that was kind of the feel and atmosphere of this American bar style pub food joint. Lastly very impressed by the hospitality of the whole crew and I think management really has a great place here, we will be back soon. Thx”

“Came here with my mom and husband to celebrate his and my birthdays. First time for all of us. I chose and made reservations after looking at the menu which appeared to have lots of tasty sounding options at decent prices. We were all pleased with everything. The French onion soup was rich and delicious. I got the New York boneless with broccolini and mashed potatoes, husband had the ahi tuna and my mom had the salmon. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted great. The gorgonzola mashed potatoes were SO good! Our server was nice and attentive and treated us to a piece of cheesecake for our birthday. The restaurant was pretty quiet being a weekday so the atmosphere felt nice and relaxing. Will definitely go back again!”

“Fantastic food, great service and cool vibe. Food came quick as well. 208 sweet pizza was great- just the right amount of sweet and heat. Pretzel and cheese was so amazing it was half gone by the time I got a picture. Voodoo nachos came with bbq sauce and would highly recommend. “What a pleasant surprise! I stopped in at the Oak Barrel late afternoon. It was a cool oasis on a hot day. I tried their Paloma which was made with some fresh mint. It was delicious! Their Salmon Ciabatta Sandwich was also very tasty. The sandwich had a generous portion of nicely cooked salmon that was perfectly seasoned. I chose a side of fries that were also delicious. Anthony recommended the Guinness Chocolate Cake for dessert. The cake was not overly sweet and was served with vanilla ice cream. I couldn't have asked for better service. Anthony took great care of me - he checked back with me to ensure I was enjoying everything. Kudos to the Oak Barrel of Eagle for a great experience!”

“We went for dinner at China Palace Fine Dining. The service was good. Our waitress was really sweet and kind. The food was good but so greasy. If the food wasn't so greasy, I'd give them a higher rating. The building is okay, and the decor is basic, nothing special. The bench I sat in was broken down, and I felt like I was sitting in a hole. They serve beer and wine. I got some Saki, it wasn't hot, barley warm. My hubby had a Chinese beer. He said it was better good. We will come back and try other dishes, hoping not so much grease. Again, the staff is really good and helpful.”

“Had tried to eat here once before and it was so packed we went somewhere else. This time we were able to get seating just fine on a weekday morning. My wife loved the huckleberry crepes and honestly it was a delicious sweet huckleberry sauces. I had the chicken fried steak and could easily give it a solid 9.5/10. May be one of the best chicken fried steak I’ve had. CFS was savory, crispy, melt in your mouth crunchy crumble kind of fried quality. Will be back to try crab cake Benedict and biscuits and gravy, both look great! I was also very impressed on the perfectly cooked hash-browns, the crispiness made me want more than I was served with some softness in the hash, got to try it out for yourself!”

“First thing to keep in mind is this place is very small. Only 4 half picnic benches and rail seating. The small room echoes a lot so it gets really LOUD. With that being said, the service was GREAT.
