“Our group of 7 had a fantastic breakfast experience at The Breakfast Club in Ankeny! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch. Friendly and attentive staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. But the real star of the show was the food! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We had a variety of dishes, including the Breakfast Burrito, Bananas Foster French Toast, Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, The Notorious B&G, Juan Denver Omelette, Panchodilla, and my personal favorite, the Jamaican Me Hungry. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, leaving no one hungry or disappointed. Even the house coffee deserves a shout-out – rich and flavorful, the perfect way to start the day. The ambience at The Breakfast Club is another highlight. The retro and bright atmosphere creates a fun and trendy vibe, further enhanced by the great music playing in the background. It's a place that makes you want to linger and enjoy your company and your meal. Overall, The Breakfast Club gets a perfect 5 stars from our group! “We had a great experience here. Went in with high expectations since I've been to the Drake location a few times, and they definitely met the mark. Their taco pizza was phenomenal! It's SO good. Breaksticks were amazing. Pepperoni popper was delicious. We also got the hog wild, husband said that was good, too. Friends got the brownie and we tried it, it was a bit dry. Service was great. We were there awhile chatting with friends, and they walked around and asked people how their food was and if they needed anything. The place was clean, bathrooms clean also.”

“Mullets Uptown Ankeny: Great Rooftop Vibes, But Plastic Cups? Mullets Uptown Ankeny has a fantastic rooftop bar! The atmosphere was perfect for our sunny evening - relaxed and enjoyable. The service was friendly and attentive. Here's the thing though - the drinks come in plastic cups, which felt a bit cheap. Luckily, the water came in reusable aluminum cups, so we were able to use those for our mules. We haven't tried the food at this location yet, but the dishes we saw looked amazing, especially the hot Nashville chicken sandwich. That'll definitely be our order next time! Overall, a great spot for rooftop drinks with a view, but be prepared for the plastic cups if you want a drink on the rooftop...”

“I think that this boba shop is SO cute. I took pictures the moment I stepped through the door. Overall, I think this place is good. I have had 2 drinks here and they were decent, not my favorite drink, but still fulfilled my cravings. The thing that keeps me coming back is the K-dogs! I’m so happy that Iowa finally has some K-dogs in the area. I have tried the full cheese and half/half hot cheeto dog, but I prefer the full cheese one! Will definitely come back for snacks!”

“First time visiting here. The restaurant looks really nice and clean. Great atmosphere. The servers were quick and really nice. Food got to the table very fast. My girlfriend loved the Miami vice (she even got a second). It was also filled to the brim. The chips and salsa were really good. Prices for the food were really good for the portions. The only complaint I have is the food was not seasoned at all. I got the chimichanga with shredded beef with double rice. The chimichanga was crispy and the beef was very tender, it just had no seasoning. Neither did the rice, it just tastes like plain rice. Girlfriend says the cheesy chicken and rice was the same way. Would love to see an improvement in the food and would be willing to come back.”

“The look of this restaurant is gorgeous. It is modern and clean. The food and service were AMAZING. We had three employees making sure we were good at all times. Food was flavorful and inexpensive for the portion sizes. Ramen was served in a very large bowl and sushi came with at least 8 pieces in each roll. “I want to start by saying I am Uber eats customer. I've been hesitant on order from here because, for me, cheesesteak sandwiches are very easy to mess up. Also, with me not being able to drive delivery, it always tastes different than in person. But today, my partner said let get cheesesteak sandwiches. We order from pardon my cheesesteak. He ordered it with no onions, and I ordered a normal one, no changes. They marked the one with no onions. To us, that's amazing because most places don't mark that. We ate our food and I have to say it was amazing. We will definitely be ordering from this place again. We ordered from Uber Eats, and we will be ordering again in the near future. “The Simple Greek was delicious and well-priced, but I think they were bought out by Garbanzo. They’re now more expensive and the food isn’t as good - for example, the Greek fries used to be perfectly seasoned and I could eat them forever. Now when we order, it feels like there’s too much salt and barely any oregano/parsley/whatever they put on it. The baklava also isn’t the greatest. And the falafel pita is never mixed properly so you get to the bottom and depending on what you order that’s where all your chicken is or onion, what have you. It’s also an extra $4+ for extra protein. The gyro is good though I’ll say. But they need to fix the fries and the prices and mix their dishes up.”

“There are not a lot of places like this in central Iowa.. Nonna’s has an amazing variety of pizza slices (highly recommend the Sofia Loren and the Buffalo chicken) with a super kind and helpful staff. Slices range from $4.50 to $5.50 (from what I could see) but that’s pretty standard with the whopping size of the slices. My wife and I ordered three slices between us so we could both have our own “big” slice then split the third. Great pizza!”

“This is a cool restaurant and the people are really nice! I was offered a sample of the pork and beef, which tasted amazing! But I decided to go with the monthly special of the Fun Rib Bowl and based on that meal I should give it a 2/3 but I’m betting the other dishes are way better and this place deserve a good rating. The rice and vegetables were really good. The sauces had great flavor and the perfect amount of spice. Then the egg was a great addition as well. Now to fun ribs, I think they may have been under cooked because they were really chewy and the tempura was a little under cooked as well, but actually even with it being tough to eat the flavor was pretty good! I will definitely go back and try something else!”

“We visited here as we'd heard positive things, and I had been craving a good fried fish. We started with the White Cheddar Cheese Curds. These may very well been the best we'd had. Lightly breaded, with a nice gooey cheese in the center. She had the JJ's burger; with it and the appetizer at happy hour prices were an incredible value. Sweet potato waffle fries were a delicious surprise. The fried walleye was a massive piece of fish. The breading is a bit thick, but very flavorful. Steak fries, coleslaw, hush puppies and a tasty tartar sauce really made the meal complete. All were great. We treated ourselves to a "desert flight" which were all quite excellent. Staff were very friendly, and Rick (owner) made sure we had all we needed. He shared a great story of how the name of the tavern and grill came to be, so be sure to ask him about it when you visit! Excellent food and deserts - highly recommend!!”
