“They have gas, delicious pizza, a convenience store, and the typical weird parking lines we've come to expect from Casey's. That is pretty much all you need to know”

“My cat Taffy and I visited Starbucks this morning. The line was long but it was well worth the wait. Taffy enjoyed hanging out the window as we waited to get to the window. She's been to Starbuck a few times now so she knows there is a treat coming her way. When we got to the window Taffy tried her hardest to join the girls working. They complimented her eyes and made her feel extra pretty. Taffy loved her treat and I loved my sandwich and coffee! My iced cloud caramel macchiato was perfect and my sandwich was hot and delicious! Thanks everyone for making our morning great!”

“AMAZING locally owned restaurant!! I went the first night they opened and have been back many times since. ALWAYS consistent fast and friendly service and amazing food!! Tenderloin is one of the very best I have ever had, pickle spears, and white cheddar cheese curds are amazing too. Have yet to try the wood fire pizza but family members have and say it is great too!! Again, this is a Great New restaurant on the south side with a great variety of menu offerings! I will definitely be back again, and again, and again! DINE LOCAL!!!!!! UPDATE: Tried the wood fire pizza tonight. WOW, DELICIOUS!!! Might just be some of the best pizza I have had in a long long time. Now the only problem is choosing between the tenderloin and the Pizza the next time I go!!!”

“The food was AMAZING. Baleadas were authentic - best we’ve been able to find out if all the Honduran restaurants we’ve tried. Pollo con tajadas was muy sabroso. The aderezo was delicious as well! I would recommend this restaurant! And we will definitely be back for más comida rica.”

“An amazing new concept featuring Mexican Food South Des Moines ! The family has a successful store in Utah , brought this wonderful concept to Iowa for their 2nd Store location. They are offering military vets and police 70% discount ! I had authentic beef tacos with mild sauce and they tasted just like they did when I was in Mexico! Wishing them all the success ! Check them out today !”

“Fongs was fongtastic! When we arrived Saturday night a little after 6 the place was empty and we were a little leery. “Is there dine-in?” “You bet, come on in, sit wherever you like!” said the cheery staff. Well alrighty then, don’t mind if we do. Took the giant green booth all the way in the back. Perfect for date night. Asked our server for his reccos and I’m sure glad we did. The dragon wings (boneless) were just the right amount of heat and super tasty. The orange chicken pizza sounded odd, but the “homemade orange sauce” is what grabbed us so we went for it and it did not disappoint. More than we needed, but we ate it all. As we ate, more patrons wandered in and by the time we left, they were busy. We started a trend;) Will recommend and return:)”

“All of the staff were very helpful and polite when exciting and entering. The table set was adorable and the candle was a cute addition. Excellent interior decoration! Menu is very large and their happy hour deals (outside of COVID) are incredible! Sushi rolls were delicious, not to mention the scrumptious cocktails. The square toilet seat was a fun surprise in the restroom too. 10/10 would recommend if you're craving sushi to come to W-Tao!”

“The chicken sandwiches are fantastic. But for the love of God are you guys trying not to give people forks or spoons? When I realize that I am going to have to lick my potatoes out of the bowl. Well it didn't work very well and they were cold when I got home an hour away. The chicken sandwich was worth it.”

“The establishment at this location was clean. It was quiet as well. There was an older couple sitting at the bar. The bartender was talking to them the entire time we were there. The bartender acted as if we were bothering her by interrupting her continuous conversation. We are visiting from Missouri and have never been there before. We asked what the process was for dining in since it was not clear. She directed us to the counter on the grocery store side to order. Ok fine. But I need to get quarters for the meter since it’s not free parking here in Iowa until after 9pm She, the bartender today, didn’t even acknowledge me at first asking her for change. Then she huffed and puffed taking her two steps to the register to get me those 4 quarters I needed to pay the meter in order to patronize this establishment. Finally we order. Poor dry Adam took my money and gave me my receipt We sat ourselves. Then I went back to bar to get a drink. Once again I was greeted with attitude and ignorance. At that point I just wanted to get beer and go sit back down I love the Wahlburgs. New kids on the block, Marky Mark, Blue Bloods, etc etc etc So thank you Wahlburgs. But these employees today were not welcoming.”

“Had an amazing meal last night at Fresko. Beautifully designed restaurant with even better food and drinks. We were able to try a large amount of the menu. Spicy Tuna and Killer Sushi rolls were fantastic. Seared Ahi Tuna, Wood Grilled Wings and Lobster Avocado were also standout appetizers. For mains, my wife and I had the Short Ribs and Seafood Stew, both of which we would get again. For dessert, we had the Scotcheroo and Apple Strudel which were delicious. Great cocktails and very impressive wine and champagne list as well. This will be the best restaurant in Des Moines in no time!”

“Wow, what a phenomenal experience! We had the pleasure of being waited on by Tristian, and what service! He was attentive, polite, informative and at the end of the meal he offered to take us on a short tour of the history of the building! From beginning to end the food was to die for. I have had Brussels sprouts before, but this was incredible with a soft egg right on top. The seasonal pot pie was such a fun spin on a classic dish with a dash of curry to keep it interesting. What an inspiring menu! Props to the chef! I will absolutely be back, and I’m bringing my friends!”
